I wouldn’t even give a 1 star if possible, twice there has been problems, booked a time slot and then at last minute was changed to the next week, not good enough absolutely ridiculous. Would not recommend anyone to use this!!!

Ordered a gas hob, tried to complete the order on line, but was unable to chose a 4 hour delivery slot. Then phoned to place the order and was placed under very great pressure to take out an Extended Warranty, I declined and explained that the only reason I had phoned was to ensure I wasn't allocated an early time slot because I am a full time carer. I received a call at 7am on the date of delivery, to say they would be there in 15 minutes! I had paid for fitting , to replace the hob I have had for 10 years. They were unable to fit it because there was a drawer underneath!. Absolutely appalling experience, not to be recommended

Ordered cooker was given a deliver date 18 days in the future 2 days before delivery date I was contacted to say order was amended to another 14 days in the future. Again 2 days before that delivery date the same happened. they offered a alternative cooker both times but was not the cooker we had ordered. So I cancelled you have to wait 3 to 5 working days for refund. But when you order the payment is taken immediately.

Ordered over £1700 worth of goods, paid for by credit card. They debit card and then cancel order - I ask them why and they’re unsure. Had ordered iPad for sons birthday. They then email me to say they’ve tried to contact me - no missed calls and I then call their customer services who are ‘unsure’ why the ordered had been cancelled. They then asked me had I moved house... all very strange. This is the 2nd time I used and and twice I’ve had problems. Won’t be using them again. It’ll be John Lewis from here!

Appaling customer service. Dishwasher arrived faulty and 3 weeks on still arguing about me arranging a repair with the manufacturers. I want a replacement or refund, however now getting random repair companies saying want to do a repair on AOs behalf. Do what the law tells you

Ordered cooker 7.1 and paid in full. Delivery agreed for 4.2. On 3.2 had text to say delivery arranged, then an hour later a telephone call from them to say delivery would be sometime in March! They would not return my money (and then recharge when delivery confirmed) unless order was cancelled. Why would I leave my money with them indefinitely! Cancelled and got a much better deal elsewhere.

How are you supposed to see if you like a Tv without trying it because it was plugged in for 5 minuets to see what picture is like ao will only refund 55% so will keep as a spare and will never buy from ao again

1. I am a disabled consumer who has been taken to hell and back not to mention one of my conditions is a problem of fatigue and have had to deal with this company countless times just to arrange a collection after buying a poor product and poor service. PLEASE READ! I ADVISE YOU TO READ BEFORE YOUR PURCHASE! AO pride themselves on having great customer service and deliver etc you get a disappointing turnaround and product I'm afraid. Dont believe what these companies say on TV, because I did and here i am warning you not to make the same mistake. 2. Washing machine Indesit delivered unpackaged and dripping with water all over my flat, looked second-hand with black marks inside the drum and soap like residue on the detergent drawer. Once connected some of the functions did not work properly. The drainage pipe did not work when put in place under the sink, but would only work when elevated above the washing machine, on top of my worktop surface and whilst aiming for the sink to drain. Absolutely weird and nonsense. My pipes were not blocked as I had a previous washing machine plugged and working and I had a trained plumber connect it and test it too. 3. I requested a return and this in itself was a nightmare after speaking to 3 different people. Conflicting statements. The manufacturer - advised that all washing machines come packaged but AO do test the machines before bringing them out. AO customer assistant - said they do not have testing centres and that all washing machine come packaged! Lies and only apology but no compensation at this point. They begged me to stay and that AO would upgrade the washing machine and give me whatever one I wanted as an upgrade. I am lucky to have refused the incentive. 4. The delivery collection man was scheduled to come next day Friday 19th Jan 2018 to my house to collect the washing machine but lied that he arrived at my house and I did not answer. I called him to ask if he could please come back as at the time I thought I was the one at fault for not having heard him. In the end, the AO customer service team said they spoke to the driver and he would come but did not have a specific time. 5. 18pm The driver never came. I called him again to confirm collection and that I had not heard from him and he said no one spoke to him about a recollection. THE NIGHTMARE BEGUN - I had spent the day waiting for the collection of the washing machine and AO wanted to change the collection date to the following day but I had to complain because they wanted to restrict movement in my home by not collecting the washing machine as I had another delivery from Curry's at 7 am on 20th Jan 2018 for a new and better washing machine. I explained that collecting their washing the same day I am expecting another to be delivered would cause a lot of inconveniences as I live alone independently and would not be able to reach for things whilst in my wheelchair due to the limited space I have. They knew from the beginning that I am disabled and I just couldn't accept it. So I spent almost something like a total of 5 hours or more of call time from the time I requested a refund to the collection of their washing machine. 6. At 9pm on the same day, the depot then had a kind driver who was on his day off calling me to ask if he could come and collect the washing machine. Compensation of £30 offered by a manager for the distress caused when this could have been avoided. 7.During collection, I had to sign to confirm and the sheet had a picture showing a door and a house that was not mine. That is when I realised the driver had lied about knocking on my door or having been on my property. I have a dog that barks which acts as my alarm when someone is more than 2 metres and less than 5 metres from the door. It didn't bark at 7 am. I also have a doorbell which did not ring and a neighbour who is always home and answers the door for me if I do not manage to get there on time as I use a wheelchair. I reported this and was compensated in total £50. I would not give this company 1 star - I have no choice as there is nothing lower. Absolutely horrible experience. Just don't buy from here. I don't know where they get their products from but they look more like second hand or refurbished and yet you are paying the same price you would at reputable retailers like curry's - whoever owns this company is making a nice pot of money ripping people off with poor customer service selling second-hand products at a much higher price, not to mention the extortionate charge for a next day delivery of £29.99. NEVER AGAIN. GOOD LUCK!!

Terrible customer service. I ordered a coffee machine on xmas day, only for a huge massive iron to be delivered on 28th December instead. On getting in touch with them to redeliver my actual item (which was expensive enough and on sale) it took them 2 days to get back to me each time I e-mailed (each time with someone different responding to me) - so over a week. They then told me the coffee machine was completely out of stock so I couldn't have it at all but could exchange for another item. On phoning on the 6th Jan it turned out they did actually have the coffee machine in stock but not in the colour i ordered. I asked for another one which they agreed, although they tried to charge me an extra £40 as it was a different colour, which I refused to do so. Cheeky as I knew the other colours were lowere when they were on sale on Boxing Day also - why I specifically booked over xmas. They eventually agreed to give me another one and also agreed to pick up the iron instead. As I suspected they don't communicate with their delivery drivers and the driver refused to pick up the iron at all even though it was them who dropped it off incorrectly in first place. I wish I had paid an extra £20 for the original coffee machine and got if from John Lewis or somewhere. This was a late xmas present and all in ruined my boyfriend's experience of what was supposed to be a nice surprise.

Just taken delivery of a new Hoover vacuum cleaner that we ordered from ao.com online. It arrived on time today. We eagerly unpacked it and assembled the handle as instructed. We plugged it in to the socket and switched it on. There was virtually no sucking at all and wasn't picking up the dirt from the carpet. The goods were flimsy and we were not satisfied with the quality of the product. I immediately contacted them to ask for a refund as per their website which states we give a full refund within 14 working days. It had not even been 14 minutes!!!! Then we were informed that because we had used it (put the handle on and plugged it in) we weren't entitled to a full refund as they couldn't resell the goods. What? How would we know if it was satisfactory or working properly without assembling it and plugging it in? You wouldn't go to buy a car at a car showroom and the sales person states "sorry you've lost 50% of the car's value because you took it for a test drive and now it's not resaleable!!!!!! This is a joke. Hidden in the small print of their super duper website. This is not customer satisfaction. As an Ao.com customer I was not satisfied and their reaction to this situation is not acceptable. I urge anyone who is thinking of buying electrical appliances from this company online to seriously have a rethink. If you plug it in and it's no good you will lose half your money.

Never use AO again cooker came damaged 2 days before Xmas could not get another out until a week later, had no cooker all Xmas ruined my family Xmas. Ordered from Currys who delivered on the 27th not damaged & £100 cheaper

We paid £90.00 for a fitting service for the washing machine we bought from this company. The fitters were rude and disrespectful: they showed little regard for our property slamming our doors, using tea towels and kitchen roll without our permission and swearing badly whilst manoeuvring the machine. Furthermore, just three hours after they left the washing machine began to leak as did the sink unit. Upon our inspection we found that there were pipes that weren't connected to any joints and that there was a leak springing from one of the pipes they had connected. With great frustration we rang the complaints line and, after having waited for a significant amount of time, we were put through to a call centre worker who informed us that we would have a while to wait to have it mended. So, we are left with a (probably ruined) load stuck in the washer, a sink that we can't use and damaged cupboard units. Strongly recommend that you bypass this company - or at least its fitting service!

Took my money, then said my order was out of stock after I rang up 3 days after it wasn't delivered. Customer service lied to me about the specifications of the phone, and were aggressive. I had to ask for a refund three times, and now I won't get my money back for 8 days. After shopping with AO I am now upset, have no phone, and I am minus £379.

The fridge/frieze arrived home, I did pay extra for delivery to be at an earlier hour, the delivery man unpacked the item and it was badly dented...I already had taken out all food from freezer and fridge and the guys had already put it in the lorry to dispose of it...they were very sweet and they phone head office and I was asked if I wanted to keep the dented item and get some compensation...I did say no! And I just wanted a new fridge frieze not a dented one, they said then the only thing they could do was to delivery another one in another 5 days time! Not good service at all! The delivery guys did tell me that it is quite often to his to happen as they have so many electrics after being unpacked, returned because of being damaged! Never again! If you buy from this company, make sure you have it unpacked for your own sake! I'll be going to the local shop to buy my fridge frieze!

You delivered a faulty product and are refusing to provide me with a refund until it is examined by an engineer You want me to travel 28 miles and catch 4 buses carrying a 24 inch square box weighing 8kg to take the item to the engineer to confirm it is faulty??? Passing the buck to the manufacturer when my contract is with you as you sold me the item. Always recommended you and gave positive feedback about your company will not be doing so again.

I WOULDN'T even have given ONE STAR, poor service in ever area, worst experience in my life.  1. My order was delivered the driver's just turned up just with my microwave and forgot fridge freezer. During a HOUSE MOVE, Christmas and New year on head with TWO LITTLE ONES AT HOME TO FEED, whole of my fresh/cold grocery shopping gone in the bin because they can't deliver for another 6 days. 2. The driver's call logistics lady very unhelpful answer I DON'T AND I'M SORRY. What should I do with her sorry? 3. Logistics told me to contact CUSTOMERRRRRRS SERVICEEEE?!! after a longgggggg wait of 40mins on the phone what i hear I DON'T KNOW AND I SORRY. This person contacted his manager to get an answer who was willing to compensation £20 for the food waste. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY PARENT BUYING £20 FOOD FOR 2 ADULTS AND TWO CHILDREN. 4. With no fridge freezer for another 7 days....actually NO WHEN THE FRIDGE FREEZER IS DELIVERED I HAVE LET IT SET FOR AT LEAST 12 HOURS THAT MEANS TOTAL 8 DAYS WITH NO FREASH FOOD. 5. I asked the customer service to put me through his manager and apparently she was going to attended meeting. Manager was available 1mins ago and now she is not. Absolutely bull s..... Trying to escape from customers like us will do no good to YOUR business. I won't recommend anyone shopping with ao.com and my worst nightmare is yet to come HOW THE I'M GOING TO MANAGE FOR 8 DAY'S😨😡😠😳

The first and last time I ever use this company. I placed an order over three weeks ago for a built in oven and microwave by Bosch. On The first delivery they failed to notify me half an hour before the delivery was due. They rearranged for the second time...I was then called by customer service telling me that the microwave was in a bad condition and they would arrange a third delivery. On the day of the third delivery, there was no text message or email so I rang them and was told by customer service that they could not get hold of the appliances as the suppliers had not sent them it yet. I was fuming!!!! First they messed up the delivery, second they said it was a faulty microwave and the third time they said the suppliers hadn’t sent them the stock!!! Ao.com are unorganised, unprofessional and lie!!!
