Poor service, poor communication. Will never buy from this company again, despite always having purchased my appliances from them in the past.

Used to love Appliances Online- fast delivery, good prices blah blah. But they don’t mention that when a product sucks (even if you buy a ‘good’ brand like Sharp)- all you hear from them is crickets. I called so many times and got different answers. Finally they informed me that the microwave only had a 1yr warranty and because it’s 1.5yrs old- there’s nothing they can do. Honestly- how do AO not give a consumer guarantee?? Ridiculous. Will never buy from them again- got a $100 microwave from Big W with a 2yr warranty! No brainer.

I wanted to put in writing how disappointed I was with the way this order went. After waiting a number of weeks for this product to be available it was finally booked in for installation. The installer measured the cutout and told me it was too small for the cooktop. I was amazed because My husband and I went to considerable lengths to make sure that the cooktop we ordered was exactly the same cutout size of the one being replaced. I asked if he was sure as I had ordered like for like and noticed he had not taken the new cooktop out of its packaging and tried it. I took him at his word in the hope that I would ring Appliances online and get one to fit the measurements he gave me. I was still puzzled about why the cooktop that was exactly the same as the one coming out and was exactly the same in all the cutout sizing was not going to fit . I had previously ordered the cooktop that was being replaced from Appliances online and compared the 2 orders and the specs which are the same. I also rang Westinghouse (Electrolux) to speak to them and see if there would be any possible reason that they are not interchangeable and they told me that there should not have been a problem. Find attached specs for both models. I was then annoyed as I had given a days casual pay up, as I am a casual teacher ,to stay home and have the needed cooktop replaced. On ringing Appliances online back to solve the problem and speaking to Brandon, He said that he understood what I was saying but would need to speak to the installer and he would get back to me ,which he did. He could not get onto the installer but would ring me the next day Friday. By Friday afternoon I still had not received the promised return call so I contacted Appliances online asking to speak to Brandon. The person who answered the call went to speak to Brandon and returned and told me that what could be done was to make a new date for installation. That was fine with me ,but I asked could it be a Friday as my husband has Fridays off or a Thursday afternoon as I was working on Thursdays and could not afford to give up another days casual work ( 2 days of missed casual pay was more than the cooktop with installation) . I was told that was not possible as the installers only did Thursdays and particular times could not be booked. I was extremely frustrated , as I feel that I was offering suggestions and alternatives and not getting any satisfaction. A problem that was not of my responsibility was further going to inconvenience and cost me. The call ended up with me demanding a refund . I have been a satisfactory customer up to this point and am sad to see that Appliances online are going in the direction of so many other businesses : everyone’s happy as long as everything’s ok ,but if there is any problem in the process the customer is left high and dry. Then after 2 emails, 2 calls and nearly 3 weeks of chasing up my refund I finally received it Customer service stinks.

I purchased an Artusi oven which was well priced and delivered on time. I am a repeat customer of this business and have always been happy with their prices and delivery service. However, in the past, I had never had a problem with the goods. The oven I purchased was defective from new and leaking gas into my kitchen. Clearly a manufacturing fault not to mention an explosion hazard. I have spent 2 months trying to get a repair, even offering to pay for a local gas fitter to fit the part if they can supply it. Its now been 3 months and I am asking for a refund. They are flat out refusing, stating they need the manufacturer to authorise the refund. This is despite the fact that the oven was purchased from applicances online directly, and it was defective on arrival. I lodged a complaint with the ACCC and I am waiting for my hearing date with QCAT to try and get a refund. You are better off supporting your local hervey norman or good guys. At least they value their customers when you have a problem. Thanks for your dodgy service and business practices appliances online! You have lost me as a customer, and hopefully this review helps others to avoid your dodgy business.

Be careful!!! Very poor customer service especially when things go wrong. Appliances Online assume no responsibility for stocking goods of inferior quality. They merely pass you on to the manufacturer. This can be very costly especially when buying items in excess of $1000.

Smeg Oven delivered damaged before Christmas Brand new smeg oven was delivered severely damaged. Had already disconnected the old & organised to connect the new. Called immediately and they were out of stock (3 days after delivery); so left with no oven & to rush around trying to get one from somewhere else…10 days before Christmas. Won’t be ordering again, too risky, and can’t recommend the purchase experience when faulty items are delivered.

Ordered a coffee machine for our company and paid for it upfront. The coffee machine did not arrive on the due date. I have called on 5 separate occasions and spoken to 5x different employees - they all give different answers. I have subsequently requested a refund .... Hopefully they can at least do this in a more prompt fashion. This was my 1st and last time I'll be using this company. THEY ARE USELESS!

The day of my delivery of my vented dryer. I received an email at 8am with a 2 hour delivery window 8:45 -10:45. Followed immediately by an email saying it would arrive in 30 minutes. 40 minutes later the driver rang saying he was 5 min away. Followed by another call from him asking who I was. Told there was something wrong with the manifest and he would get back to me. 3 hours later no call from anyone so I rang customer service. Was told they would find out what was happening and ring me back. 2 hours later no call. Ring customer service again. They tell me I was supposed have been the first delivery but it didn’t happen and the driver would ring me when he was going to deliver it, they didn’t know when that would be. An hour later a text message giving me a two hour window of 2:30-4:30. Seriously? This is customer service? A two hour window turns into a 6 ½ hour wait with no communication whatsoever except when initiated by myself. Ridiculous. Then when it arrives there are no parts to vent the dryer. Checking the webpage there is a small box at the bottom of the page saying they were a seperate purchase. So I had to order it and will have to go through the same thing again tomorrow. The last time I ever deal with this company

This company have been giving me the run around for seven months after selling me a dishwasher that has never worked. I have no dishwasher and they tell me they need more time. I have made many calls. I have been told to follow up with the manufacturer. I have been refused my request for a refund. I am beyond frustrated. I usually go to the good guys. They really are great!

no customer service, very rude, took them 1 month doing nothing, kick the ball to insurance company or customer themselves... bully the customer a lot.

I ordered on a Tuesday evening in the hopes that our new machine would be delivered on Wednesday. Unfortunately, I was using a voucher as a part payment and the online payment system took the voucher but then it cancelled my order. So I was left with no voucher and no washing machine. Had to wait until Wednesday to get this resolved and the machine was eventually delivered on Thursday, only to find it doesn't work. I called again and they said they would replace it on Monday, but I work on Mondays... so the machine is expected to be replaced on Wednesday. Family of 5, 3 kiddies and we're just back from an overseas trip so we have lots of washing to catch up on and no washing machine for a week.

Worst experience ever. They are not reliable and has little real respect to customers. But they are good at playing price and marketing tricks to mislead you.

Advertised a cheap vacuum cleaner with free delivery which was accepted and paid for. They reneged on the deal. Scam company as far as I’m concerned.

By my experience, I would recommend any other store and consider this only as a last resort. Phone support was initially helpful specially when I was buying but when I needed to return the item I bought it became extremely disappointing. ***Delivery is beyond disappointing*** No phone calls or sms received nor intercom used despite being told to do this in case phone call fails to ensure delivery. Phone support and delivery people blamed me for failed delivery as apparently I did not answer the alleged phone call I never received, lack of parking and parking ticket they incurred from another delivery. The delivery people left within 2 minutes after allegedly attempting 2 phone calls which I never received and no other attempts on contact despite instructions and assurances that I am at home solely for this delivery. But for all these troubles and incoveniences to me customer service said "it is what it is".

no communication, passed from one manager to the next, I feel sorry for the staff having to cover for non existent management very frustrating having to try and follow the way they supposedly handle customer complaints. They took a week to inform the manufacturer that I had a problem. In no way do I blame DeLonghi for this as it appears they contacted the same day I complained for the 3rd Time to APOL.

Awful communication. Received email to say my TV was coming Monday, stay at home all day, no TV or communication. Call Tuesday, nil explanation but delivery rescheduled for Thursday, no email or text confirming this however, none the less I get a family member to stay home Thursday for delivery, never came, called customer service, on hold for 25 mins and then hung up on. I call Friday and am told there is a “fraud issue” as “there is something wrong with the TV and it shouldn’t have been advertised” is it fraud or is it faulty? This is 2 different things…. And It seems as though they were never going to contact me to let me know that my TV was never coming. They did process refund after requested, so atleast I have money back now, but I will not be purchasing through them again.

Ordered a washing machine from Appliances Online. It stopped mid-cycle on the first use. I contacted Appliances Online immediately to report the problem. They sent their technician back the next day to look at it. He said it was faulty and needed to be replaced by Miele. Called the Appliances Online team to request they organise a replacement machine. They told me I should contact Miele myself to request this. After I insisted they should help me solve the problem, they reluctantly contacted Miele on my behalf via email. But 10 days later nothing had happened - no contact or replacement machine. So I requested a refund from Appliances Online. They said I would have to chase a refund from Miele because they had already passed the money on. Absolutely disgraceful customer service. BEWARE buying from this company.

I am disgusted with the services of this company. Delivery was scheduled and was told I would receive messages on the day of delivery and nothing was received. Then received an email to say no one was home to leave items and re-delivery was organized for the following week. On that day no messages again around the delivery and then received an email at around 2 pm to say the warehouse has placed my order back for sale and the item is not available. I would never recommend this company. No substitute was offered unless I wanted to pay 3 times the price. I am disgusted, to say the least. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

Buyer beware this company refuses to accept requests for refunds when parts are not required or not fit for purpose. Bought a spare part for an oven and it wasnt needed as the oven needed many more repairs. Item still in box, not opened, not used. This guys are hiding behind a condition that electronic parts can't be returned. This is a fan so not electronic. Customer service terrible just email saying no its my problem. They supply Doug Smith Spares in Granville. Equally unhelpful, just passed me through back to Appliances online, not their problem apparently. Stay away from these organizations
