“DONT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU LIVE IN IRELAND I was expecting great service based on previous reviews and I was badly disappointed. They promised delivery of bunk beds within 14 days. The bunk beds did not arrive. I contacted them on a paid call number (their low call number for existing customers that they send on my confirmation email doesn’t work) and their customer service rep in the UK told me they had outsourced my delivery and to chase down delivery myself. I did with no luck. Contacted them again and got a great customer service rep who promised me daily updates. Long story short the courier they outsourced to for for Irish deliveries had outsourced to another courier and buy it direct had no way of contacting them. After 6 days of waiting for an update they refunded my money (minus the massive 80 euro delivery charge) and told me because I paid through PayPal they couldn’t verify my eircode And so the stock was returned to them. This was in spite of me providing my contact details numerous times across my dealings with them. In short do not buy from this UK Based company if you live in Ireland. I am left 80 euro worse off with two very disappointed children.”
“I am a first time buyer with buydirect. Was doing online chat with a customer help agent for buy direct called Liam on Friday and he just abandoned our conversation half way through. I have emailed twice looking for clarification regarding an iphone I wanted but no response. Very disappointed with this company and no longer trust their service. Barry”

I wish i had read these reviews before buying. Please think carefully before you order - especially if you cannot afford to lose money that they will keep instead of refunding you.
I ordered a vanity unit, sink, tap and 2 basin waste. Paid over £300 for all three months ago.
Tap (£64.97)was refunded as it arrived incomplete.
Sink was refunded (£59.18) as it broke in transit.
Vanity unit was returned when i realised that the sink wasn't coming (which they did not tell me - apparently you have to figure these things out yourself) and it was no use without the fitted sink. (Kept the basin wastes which were £17.97 each.)
This leaves a difference of over £128. My vanity unit right? Apparently not - my unit was, i'm told.....'free'. Yet they cannot tell me what the outstanding £128 was for that i paid. Staff are working from home and simply cannot be bothered. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the vanity unit was not free and they owe me £128. Nothing short of theft. No reply to emails - premium rate phone numbers and incompetent after sales staff.
It has been 3 months since i placed the order and i'm not going to let this one drop.”
“Warning to trade customers
Warning: If you are trade customer or small business, avoid buying from Appliances Direct at all costs. I paid £400 for a hob which was seemingly damaged in transit when we opened it. We sent photos and a request to our "Account Manager" for a replacement who got one of his support staff to call us to say that they will not replace the hob due to the time that had passed. They offered us £70 in lieu of a replacement which is a joke. I now need to purchase another hob and to complete my customer's job. Their customer services is a disgrace so be fore warned.”

“I have write the review all ready ,but to be more focus on facts. The Buy it direct was selling the hob on their website with wrong picture to the wrong type number and details,I have bought the hob not knowing this fact,even in confirmation email I got the picture of the hob tough I was buying with the words '' this is what you purchased '' In the delivery came wrong type ,of course, It took me a couple days to get someone on the phone ,and it took me a few more calls ,till they comprehend ,and ADMITTED ,that the mistake is their fold and they will replace my hob. They said that the collection is ordered for exact day,we waited at home all day ,nothing had happened, we were waiting another two days ,before the collection had happen,and than we wait another 5 days to get delivery of replacement,guess what ? THE WRONG TYPE AGAIN ! so all over again , we contacted the customer service,we didn't want to wait another number of the days for SECOND collection so we offered to drop it on DPD 30km away from us,the customer service said to send new return label,we were waiting all day for the label,nothing had show up , so we had to call them again,in the next call with the same useless approach we were promised to get the label in then minutes,to be able to take parcel and drop it on dpd,the girl did swear she made the order for collection,and let us to go on dpd for NOTHING,because they didn't had any order for collection in system,we had to go with parcel back to home.The LABEL we finally got in last email,was exactly the same as the last one so I even doubt that the parcel would get to them and I strongly believe,that they would blame us of lose of the parcel ! Have anyone ever seen so much of stupidity and sauciness in one company ? “We purchased a bunk bed through this group’s company FURNITURE 123, it would appear that the bed was defective as the sides/corners of the bed were unduly sharp, particularly given that it was intended as a bed for children.
None of the edges / 90 degree corners around the bed have been rounded/smoothened up and as a result this is hazardous for any type of furniture but even more so for a child’s product .
One would be unable to run their finger across without a “cutting feeling” or rest to any part of the bed without feeling pain!
This has resulted to my son’s injury and we needed to attend the A&E on the first night
I’ve contacted the company‘a complaints department and was assigned a case manager but although I was promised on 3 occasions a call that has not happened!
I was asked photos 3 times and still nothing !!!
Reading the reviews later I came to the understanding , that the company has been made aware of this several times (I have some reviews to send you if you would like them) and at least one more customer’s child sustained the same injury.
This could potentially be breach of contract and negligence on the grounds that the bed was not of satisfactory quality, nor was it fit for its purpose as a child’s bed as we suffered an injury on the first night of using it.
Does someone need to go down the legal route to have a fair resolution or do you value your customers and more importantly their children ?

“First time using buy it direct. Ordered a phone over 2 MONTHS ago, paid €400 for it. Still haven't recieved the phone. They said there was a problem with the courier and there investigating it,that was 6 weeks ago. I asked for a refund, they wont give it. Now I have to go to solicitor and take it further.
Long story short, I would not use this company to buy anything from. There nothing short of criminal.
