Truly terrible service, possibly the most incompetent and frustrating I have ever experienced! Firstly, they failed four times to collect my broken laptop because Buy It Direct kept sending the courier to the wrong house, despite me giving the correct details over a dozen times. Over 40 emails back and forth, never the same person replying, nobody seemed to know what was going on, and a total lack of clear answers. Then I received a phone charge of over £60 from being on the phone with them trying to sort it out, and they charge .14p a minute then keep you on hold for ages. Next, I was told somebody would get back to me within ten days to update me about my laptop repair. After three weeks I had received no news so I emailed them. First I was wrongly told that they had emailed me already. Then someone from the company rang to speak to me, called me the name of my colleague, and when I said they had the wrong name, they hung up straight away before I had a chance to explain. Now they have emailed saying someone will respond in three days to update me. Which means it will be over a month since I first contacted them about the repair, and they still haven't sorted it. I recommend don't by anything from Buy It Direct because if it goes wrong, you'll have nightmare experience!

I bought laptop from them.After 3 months laptop sound card started to crack ,tried to contact them,no answer.You need to pay extra moneys to speak with them on 0871 984 4416. I tried to call on East Midlands Store on 01773 814665 no anwer just voicemail. Their repair centre based in Poland and polish branch do nothing at all.It is not possible to registered my laptop on their system.Small claims court will be only option.Since you pay for your item ,they will not care. Will never buy from this company again! Please steer clear. Ordered what was advertised as 17" laptop to find out when delivered was a 15". Reported straight away and was picked up next day. 7 days later they have only just looked at the delivery to check and have now informed me to wait anything up to another week for a refund?!! I am now left without the ability to buy another badly needed laptop until my money is returned. Absolute cowboys!

Was sold a new galaxy s10e that cannot be updated due to it being a incorrectly modified EU phone, meaning it's several security patches out of date and can never be updated. Awful runaround in trying to resolve it, then a forced return for them to "process options" and a 2 week wait for my money back while they "evaluate".

Item badly packaged, arrived damaged. They lied about refund and tried to get me to close paypal case before submitting refund. Been one month still waiting for refund. AVOID

The products are being advertised with false information and the item is not as described but the company completely refuses to deal with this. Beware, would not recommend this company at all

I bought an oven 3 weeks ago and it has still not arrived. At this rate we will have no oven for Christmas. It is very hard to reach anyone in customer service. The courier company that buy it direct use are of no use at all, and should be changed. I will never use this company again after the stress it has caused been let down so badly for Christmas

Level of Service is the Worst i have ever experienced. I placed and order which was due to be delivered on the 2nd of December. on the 1st of December i still had not received confirmation that my order had even been dispatched yet so I emailed them and they insured me that my order was due for Express Delivery by the 2nd. Surprise Surprise, this did not happen. Following constant emails being send I did manage to get my "Express Delivery" Charge returned to my account but my order still not dispatched. I was given a new delivery date of the 13th. but again no sign of any confirmation that my order had been dispatched. Every time I email, I get a different excuse and promise to deliver but to date I still have not recieved my order or any reassurance that my order will be delivered. Last night I recieved an email that my order had been lost and someone will be in contact within 48 hours. (No mad panic lads take your time) When I received the call I was told that I will have to wait a further 72 hours for them to contact the courier and they will be in touch, and that If I wanted to cancel my order that I will still have to wait the 72 hours for them to process the refund and a further 5 days to receive it. Needless to say, I am extremely frustrated and out of pocket by €500 and my overall experience with the company tells me that I will never see my order or refund, It will just keep getting kicked down the road.

Scratched table looks like a second. Refuse to collect stating we will have to pay delivery costs, if we keep the table they are offering a £20 discount. Awful customer service and goods look like seconds or used.

Bought a brand new expensive iPhone. Never arrived, delivery company lost it/ didn't deliver it. Wasn't my fault. Spent a week constantly ringing to find out what happened to be left in limbo. 5-6 phone calls later feeling very frustrated and promised twice that a case manager would ring me I got my money refunded at my constant request. I really feel for the customer service with what they have to deal with. Terrible company!! Run a mile. Pay a little bit extra for better service.

Would give zero stars if I could, I also don't tend to leave reviews so leaving this should be warning enough to stay well clear. Absolutely appalling customer 'service' it has taken 24 hours and 28 emails of ignored questions and seemingly random replies to come to an unsatisfactory conclusion regarding a tumble dryer which was delivered faulty. Zero desire to assist me in receiving a replacement so at this point I'll be buying from elsewhere.

Totally shocking service. Thankfully I didn’t spend my money with this company. Customer service is appalling and a down right disgrace to even call the department a customer service function. More like customer prevention department. Do not waste your time with this company. Shockingly shabby, yes it may be good value but you pay for what you get.

Bought a monitor online (Lenovo ThinkVision) from Buyitdirect which was delivered within days. This is where the bang stops. The webcam was faulty. Asked for the unit to be picked up and it only took their courier "service" x3 attempts to actually do so, as they couldn't locate an address in W1 (sic !)... 2 weeks later and without even consulting me, they just sent me a refund (- shipping cost) when I had clearly asked them to fix the issue and ship back the unit. Pathetic from start to finish.

Absolutely awful company. I purchased an air con unit online and paid next day delivery. Delivery was taken no problems, however, after unpacking, noticed a really long crack underneath the unit which travelled up to the side. If used, water gathered would have dripped everywhere. Called Customer Services who arranged a replacement to be delivered the next day and collection of the fault. DPD delivered as stated, but refused collection of original as not on their worksheet. Prepared new item for use, only to switch on and hear a horrid revving noise, no air coming from the system, and smoke coming from the back. Needless to say, by this point was absolutely livid. Tried to call Customer Services, was on hold for over 45 minutes, to then be greeted by a message advising that their lines were now closed!!!!! The next morning called and spoke to a very rude agent who advised that there was nothing she could do but arrange collection of both faulty units the same day, but a replacement wouldn't be sent out until the following day!!!! I escalated my call and had to wait 2 hours to speak to a Case Manager. She advised the same, but by this morning, I was completely exhausted and had given up. Note - also heavily pregnant. I explained that I had lost faith and wanted a refund instead. She advised that the refund couldn't be arranged until both units were collected... and arranged for DPD to collect. DPD did not turn up. The next day, called again, after waiting in a queue for 40 minutes, finally spoke to someone who sounded like they had no idea what they were doing. Kept putting me on hold and saying, 'just looking into this'. He advised that the collection wouldn't be until the next day!!! After I refused to accept this date, he miraculously managed to arrange collection for the same day, but I would have to wait until DPD collect before a refund is arranged. I explained that I am heavily pregnant therefore not able to lift item back in the box - therefore DPD would need to do that themselves. He didn't seem fussed about what I was saying at all. In process of writing a complaint to Head of Customers Services and Trading Standards. Waiting for collection today - let's see what happens! Awful service and awful company. Have now purchased an air con unit from Homebase, with no issues whatsoever. AVOID company at all costs

I purchased a monitor from BuyItDirect on eBay, which was supposed to be delivered the following day. I was somewhat surprised to receive a missed delivery email from DPD given that I was in the office all day, along with several other people, including the receptionist. I asked BuyItDirect how they had managed to "miss me" and they ignored the question and just rescheduled the delivery for another day. The email from DPD confirming this had completely the wrong address on it (they seemed to have just made one up rather than using what was provided!), so I replied and confirmed the correct address from the order. Instead of having DPD correct the address, BuyItDirect just recalled the package & shipped a second one (unnecessarily adding further delay), but somehow BuyItDirect also sent this new package to the same, completely made up address! In the end I had to get DPD to correct the address myself in order to get it delivered, four days later. Even after the package was delivered, the incompetent BuyItDirect "customer service" staff were failing to understand the problem and kept telling me that the address looked fine. Just to add insult to injury, the VAT invoice that BuyItDirect provided was also for the wrong amount. When I pointed this out, they initially argued that it was for the right amount, despite the fact that it obviously wasn't. After I had provided a screenshot from eBay in order to demonstrate this, they then refused to correct the invoice saying that they can't change them once issued. It was only when I pointed out that they are legally required to provide an accurate VAT invoice and that I would report it to HMRC that they changed their mind and managed to correct it. All in all, it was an absolutely dreadful experience from start to finish and I certainly wouldn't buy anything from BuyItDirect Group or any of their brands (Laptops Direct, Servers Direct, Appliances Direct, Drones Direct, Furniture123, Better Bathrooms, Outdoor Living/Jacuzzi Direct) ever again.

I purchased several products, due to the delays in shipping, I cancelled one item in the website to source it locally. Later, I got an email informing the website was not up-to-date and all items were shipped at the moment of my cancellation therefore I should wait for the delivery then accept all items but the one cancelled to get a refund for it. When the items arrived, I accepted and signed for all items with the exception of the one cancelled (provided return number) as instructed by BuyitDirect then emailed customer service right away to keep them informed getting a reply after the returned item arrived I would get a refund. After several weeks, I followed up on the refund, I was informed no refund was going to take place as according to their records I accepted the delivery for all items. After lots of emails / phone calls BuyitDirect was unable to resolve then denied my refund. I had to go myself back to the shipping company to track the individual that did the delivery to prove the delivery never took place then write a letter with evidence back to BuyitDirect and the consumer protection agency. After all this dilemma, I finally got a refund with not even an apology for all the ordeal and basically accusing me of being a thief. Never again thanks,

Was told I would be notified of delivery date of cooker it arrived on a Sunday I did not expect that without a call as I did not have old one disconnected !!piliot light on oven doesn’t work flame is destroying all my saucepans with black smoke flame too high I’m disgusted wish I kept my old one

In February I purchased some bedroom furniture. I used PayPal credit to do this. The delivery date kept getting pushed back. 12th may was one such date, I emailed a week before to check everything was ok. I was assured all was ok and it would be delivered as planned. 3 Days prior to delivery I had an email to explain delivery was pushed back another month. My confidence in the company understandably decreased and I got a refund. However, whilst I was waiting for the never coming furniture I was paying interest on PayPal credit. I'm now £25 out of pocket and no products to show for it. Dreadful, I will never use them again.
