Very poor service.placed an order on the Sunday then received an email Tuesday marked as despatched.wasnt delivered all week so I called on the Monday morning.told they would get back to me within the hour?4 hours later no reply so I called again.this time was told there was a mistake with the courier company and were now out of stock until the weds but will guarantee it with me by this weekend?..I phone again Thursday to find out delivery details,still no stock until the following Tuesday!!..nearly 3 weeks in total... Not kept up to date it's always me calling!!..as I stated earlier customer service is awful..0 out of 10

DISGRACEFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE BY CAR AUDIO CENTRE I bought a Pioneer Carplay audio unit from the Car Audio Centre / In Phase International (at their NEC Gadget Show stand) plus the recommended wiring for my vehicle which turned out to have not, one but SIX sporadic faults, five of which I caught on video as proof for the Car Audio Centre to see. As soon as I emailed the Car Audio Centre wishing to exercise my short term right to reject faulty goods I was met with rude customer service who suggested I take my car to a third party over three hours away and have to pay for them to fix it. I was clear in wanting a refund as after finding six faults you end up with zero faith in the product and I needed to look at a different brand. The Car Audio Centre then tried to add extortionate charges, stating I’d have to pay £30 (and then £75) if I was to return it and their 24/48hr bench test did not turn up the faults. After consulting someone who works within the automotive wiring industry and handles testing on a day to day basis for advice as I trust him more than these glorified Halford’s installers. Due to the advice, I declined this bench test as it may find simple faults but it does not guarantee that it will find sporadic faults. Unfortunately it is not as simple as yes or no but the people at the Car Audio Centre do not seem to understand this. Not to mention that it would not have been in the same conditions as it was in my car, with my specific audio set up and quite frankly I don’t trust them one bit to be honest after their dodgy Car Audio Centre customer service. The fact that it is a new item, notified well within 14 days let alone 30 days, with proof of faults there shouldn’t be a question and I should have got a refund when I first asked for it instead of being bullied by the Car Audio Centre with hidden fees. Go elsewhere, it may be a tenner more but it will be worth your money if you unfortunately end up with Car Audio Centre faulty goods. It’s not worth the headache! Avoid Car Audio Centre like the plague.

the return process is lacking 20th century technology nothing like amazon where you know exactly what to do and are prompt but these are waste of time.

i ordered a KTP-445 but was sent a KTP-445A and to return it i contacted via tel to return the item and was instructed to follow details via online return process so i filled in return process and still waiting for an answer so very disappointed with the return process and why they got the order wrong as it says KTP-445 on the receipt there are 3 different models of this unit KTP-445 / KTP-445A / KTP-445U but KTP-445A has been sent so the project is on hold at the moment awaiting to return the item not knowing how to at the moment.

Despite asking if I required anything else to fit the stereo into my vehicle such as wiring harness or trim I was told that everything was included. This was not the case and I had to purchase a fitting kit.

I ordered an inphase DVD screen from the car audio centre. When i received it the mounting plate was rusty and all the plastic trim was peeling away so i rang them to arrange a return. The return was authorised and i sent it back, insured at a considerable cost to myself. I waited 2 weeks and hadnt received a refund as requested so i rang them and sent them emails asking when i was going to get my money back. All my emails were ignored and whenever i phoned them they kept saying they would ring me back but no one ever did. In the end i had to go through visa and dispute the transaction with them in order to get my money back. It took over 3 months for me me to get my money back and the car audio centre didnt want to know. Not to mention the "sale" they have on their website has been going on for the past 8 months. Id advise anyone interested in buying stuff from here to think again their aftersales service is appalling, once they get your money off you they couldnt care less.

The product i ordered was out of stock but they never told me for ages. They tried to send me another stereo and it took a long time for them to reply to my messages and give a refund.

Went here to get a quote for different car audio systems starting from basic unit with bluetooth to ones with satnav.I got the guy in the shop to write down the different prices for the different units with prices for all the bits plus fitting.I also made it clear I wanted the internet price if the shop price was different.I realised when I went home and checked the price he had written down for the basic unit was almost double;I called the shop who told me I had A.I had misread his writing or B.the charge was for another item despite the model number and costs being written in black and white(i offered to email a copy of the hand written estimate; the guy in the shop wouldn't have it any other way than I was wrong.Terrible way of speaking to a potential customer.No apology whatsoever.Had he made an apology and spoke to me nicely and not rudely I probably wouldn't have written this review.ZERO concept of how to talk to a potential customer. ALSO the costs I was quoted for each of the following items Facia/stalk and patch/Antenna in addition to fitting costs was significantly more than Halfords who charge £29.99 for fitting most straight forward car audio players(you can check this by ringing Halfords and comparing fitting charges) So save yourself money by going to Halfords who charge £29.99 for fitting a simple car audio and check the differences in the costs of the bits needed between this company and Halfords.Also read the other poor reviews here. • • •

I ordered a Kenwood head unit & JVC zx630 speakers on black fri, Dec 2nd. They took 14 days to arrive. No JVC,s tho, some inferior in phase jobs instead(I checked the specs). I wasn't notified as to why this was done. I emailed, to be told the JVC's were out of stock, but they gave me an 'upgraded product' instead for the same price. I was highly annoyed at this B/S & to not have been asked before sending! I asked to return them for a refund( I found the JVC's online for £22 less) & their in phase price was higher than any other online supplier. I waited a few more days after more emails to get a return label from them. I returned them on 24th Dec. Courier delivered them on the 30th. I waited until the 10th, no refund. Contacted them again, to be told no record of a return existed! I sent screenshots of their label & tracking info. they said they'd come back to me. Nothing. emailed them on the 14th & 16th Jan(twice), no response. Raised a paypal dispute & emailed again on 17th. No response. Rang them on the 18th, v.angry. no surprise the guy I asked for wasnt available, after a wait, I was told a refund would be processed that day. It was! No apology of any sort offered. I have never experienced such bad service in my life!!! i should invoice them for my wasted hours on this matter! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!! I see people have had near identical experiences to me.

Poor customer service! I ordered a pioneer carplay head unit and fitting kit for a bmw 1 series. I ordered on Monday 31st and paid for next day delivery.. Then I didn't hear anything all week and phoned up on the friday to be told he would get it send out that day. Got a delivery on Monday the 5th a week later and the order was missing the connects2 fitting kit! I phoned up and he said it was our of stock so was coming for the Birmingham warehouse today. I phone up again that day to asking for tracking number and he said he was getting it send out to arrive tomorrow ( so he lied about it coming). I had no information that half my order was "out of stock" prior to the delivery. It's now the 6th and I am not holding hole for it to arrive today either as have not been given any tracking numbers. I took a day of work to install this system and have wasted it due to thier mistakes. **update** Phoned up again on the 6th and they said it still hadn't been dispatched and its now going to come from Manchester store and he hopes it will be with me tomorrow...

Called them to inquire whether their focal products were genuine as they are listed as an unauthorized dealer. After a few words, they told me to go buy somewhere else. What a condescending bunch of crap staff. Can't do business with them.

I ordered items that were never delivered but were charged for. Several attempts to contact the company to rectify this issue were fruitless and I never got a response, despite having an automated reply to say my email had been received and would be responded to in 48 hours. I will never use this company again.

I buy a in phase ipxvw1 from you it was not this model I see advertise on the net it was a difference one what you send me I got in touch with you and explain and it was on going so I kept it but didn't get a sd card with it , i kept phoning and every week I was toll that was going to be send my sd card I am still waiting that's four months ago I would not recommend no one to caraudiocentre so if you can put thing right by sending my card

absolutely appalling customer service as well as deliberate miss selling just to take more of my money. When I complained I was spoken to in a very condescending manner and told that I would be unable to return my goods. I was gobsmacked and wrote several emails to complain, none of which were ever responded to. Your company is a joke and you seem to employ several muppets (from the experience I had). Thanks.

It was a really horrifying experience. I bought a car radio from this website and after 2 weeks and still no arrival of my product I gave them a ring, I asked them why it was taking so long for the item to be delivered. The guy told me the item was not in stock anymore which made me really upset because they could have let me know somehow, since I had given them my e-mail and my phone number. Then I asked the guy for a refund, in which took me another 2-3 phone calls over 2 weeks of stress just to grab my money back. I would not recommend it to anybody.

I ordered a car stereo from Car Audio Centre which never arrived due to some kind of mix-up with Royal Mail. It took more than 4 months of emails and phone calls before I was finally able to get a refund ~ ridiculous!
