It's bad enough dealing directly with all the car hire companies out there (and all their hidden charges), but adding these scam artists to the mix, you're just asking for double the trouble.

The only thing you're guaranteed with this lot is a load to hidden charges from the actually company you end up hiring the car from, which Carjet fail to advise you on when you're booking a car through their website.
I paid an extortionate amount to rent a car for 2 weeks in Spain (supposedly the best guaranteed price), and was charged another €100 when I collected the car from the car hire company for some made up Airport charge. Carjet were not even remotely helpful about the situation. Also no comprehensive insurance included. What a shock!
Never again would I use this lot - please take my advice, and AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!”

“Reading other people's comments here shows that its a scam, those behind need sent to prison. Had similar experience on the 1st of April when i went to pick up my car with Europcar. They had no record of my payment. Had to pay for another car hire.”
“Horrible service.
They take your money (the full amount for the car rental + you can pay WITHOUT creditcard) with the online reservation and when you come at the desk from the airport they refuse to give you the car in case you have no credit card.
I can follow this mindset, but in this case it would be appropriate to refund the money you paid upfront. Not everybody has a credit card.
Pure extortion!!!
Customer 'service' zero. No possibility for decent contact via email or telephone. They only way is their way and they absolutely do not treat clients as they should!

“The worst experience I have ever had as a customer was a complete lack of accessibility, a reference to the fine print, and an ignorance that is unmatched. I only wish for this company to go bankrupt! What happened was that I booked a rental car through the CarJet portal and my payment was accepted. However, when I arrived in Crete, my card was not accepted despite the payment having been made. I lost my money, could not rent a car, and all of this happened during the high season in the evening at the airport. I strongly advise against using CarJet.com and the rental car company AbbyCar - both are an absolute disaster!”
“Paid for my son to pick up a car at Birmingham airport. Sent him my confirmation when he received it was informed that my payment was not accepted. So he paid again only to find out when he got to the rental company there were x 2 bookings As it was 30 minutes BEFORE the time of each contract start time we were told that that the issue was with Carjet not the rental company Green Motion and they were not responsible. Tried calling Carjet in Spain and no answer. I have registered a case with Carjet and NO help.I now intend to take it further I have Amex working on it for me and also checking with other legal options.”
“This the most horrid experience ever. I made a reservation with sketchy website. Paid 60 USD dollars not knowing this website was from another country and live in the USA. Made the reservation guess what my confirmation email never arrived. I email them and late response no help at all. I asked for a refund ignored. I want to cancel my reservation. I’ll make a dispute with my bank tomorrow. And my review will stay. Don’t do Bussiness with this sketchy company. Carjet refund my money. This review will not go. It will stay.”
“Total mess!!!! I would never recommend this company. They are not organised. They cancelled 2 cars before i even got a car. When i went to pick up car, it was cancelled. They are refusing to give a refund. And we ended up getting a car for 230 euro above the original price. A week later, and no sign of a refund. They are a joke. I would recommend any other company than carjet!!!! BOOK DIRECTLY WITH SIXT !!”
“Arrived in Geneva and ran to the office to collect hire car at 9pm to find the office closed and unmanned. The office is scheduled to be open until 10.30pm. I was forced to hire another car from the Avis desk which was still open. I phoned up the carjet number and tole the customer care person what had happened. she said she would look into it. There were many people left in the same situation that night, left with no car and no accomodation booked in Geneva. I have now has an email from Carjet that told me that the office was open until 10.30pm- IT WAS NOT. and that I was not entitled to any refund. I have since tried to phone Carjet and my number has been barred by them. I have no, no way to resolve this.They have taken my money and not provided a service.”
“All they care about is money, I booked a car through this website after I landed I went to the car rental office and It was a small company , they only accepted credit card but they did not have the machine so I use my credit cards! they were only able to do online payment through their computer, and since the company was too small my credit card company did not recognize them and was not going through, so I could not pick up the car and the car rental office told me you can cancel it now and ask for refund from carjet, i did cancel then I emailed carjet 3 times , they said no refund because it is too late! at least they could have refunded a portion of the money because it was not my fault that I was not able to pick up the car. I wish i could gve them zero”
“We rented and prepaid for a car through CarJet to pick up in Dublin. Our flight was delayed and when we arrived we were informed that the car booking was cancelled because we hadn't informed them of the delay and they could keep our money. There was no answer at their customer service number that evening and when ringing them on Monday they refused to refund our money.
DO NOT USE CARJET!!!!!”
