“Scam system!
You book a car through Carjet, they hire a partner car rental abroad which charges extra costs. Discussing or not paying the "extra costs" is useless, otherwise they will not give you the car at the pickup location. Often the Pickup location is not exactly at the airport. So they will pick you up and drive you to their office somewhere else. Either you pay or you dont have a car in the middle of nowhere. Of course, the extra costs come up only after you have paid the deposit. Complaining doesn't help either. You know you get scammed but still can
t get out of it. Carjet claims they demand a statement from their partner. If they simply do not answer, you also get no money back. CarJet will hang up on you if you call more than once.
You can read the scam quite often.

On 19th April 2023 I booked a car with B-RENT via CARJET. At the time of the booking I paid 270 EUR with a DEBIT CARD ISSUED ON MY NAME AS REQUESTED BY THE COMPANY / POLICY. On the 1st June 2023 after a long trip we finally made it to Cagliari airport, sure that we are going to have our car. However, upon pickup, the booking was refused, because we did not have a credit card. So, even though CARJET, on behalf of B-RENT was only too happy to charge the deposit on my DEBIT card, the very same card was refused by B-RENT employee for payment completion, saying they only accepted credit cards (?!) - I want to stress here that my card had enough money to cover the booking and the holding safety deposit for the car.
Now, I can't help but thinking that this lack of consistency is misleading and fraudulent to say the least. If you accept my debit card (i.e. you charge me 270 EUR in April) then you can't refuse that very same card at pick up (2 months afterwards). I couldn't help but notice, that the two (very unfriendly) agents at the desk were arguing with every client there, and for some flimsy reason or another, were refusing cars to everyone.
Morale of the story, CARJET ROBBED US OF 270 EUR and left me and my partner without a car, stranded on the airport even though I had booked my car 2 months in advance. Thank God we didn't have a child with us!
A special mention goes to MARIA, THE DESK AGENT - she was rude, obnoxious, unhelpful and unable to own up TO THE COMPANY'S FAULT. It is hard for me believe that this is not A SCAM, where they charge people for their deposits, but then don’t release the cars.
P.S. I attempted to call customer service but absolutely nothing was done at their end, actually cutting off my call halfway through!!

“Booked and paid for car then realised my flight would land one day later so I thought I loose the 1st days hire ...I wasn't told the location of carjet by email so sent them an email..4 days before flying to Gatwick...no reply on this email ....on arrival found the rental company and they expressed that I was one day late and wouldn't receive refund and they had cancell my insurance also without refund...I said where is my car as I had hired for a week and surely it should be waiting for me as I had been charged..same as a hotel room can't double rent..the operative said the agent carjet was responsible...I asked to talked to them on the phone..he said do I speak Spanish then .from that answer I knew they were both on the scam..he works everyday with this company and know they speak fluent English ..not regulated in UK so can't have there licence revoked..I had to pay for an extra car and when I expressed I didn't need there excess insurance I was asked to leave 1400 GBP I went to pay with a debit card not accepted only credit card so opted for. There half insurance which they asked to deposit 400 GBP ...but get this...this time accepted my debit card... really...the law needs to change with these cowboy renters..”

“Be wary renting from CarJet. Rented car in Nice in April. My driving license and passport was stolen 3 days before but still wanted to fulfill my order as my travel companion has a driving license. Was told at counter they cannot change the name so we called customer service. CarJet was also unable to change name. Was assured they will refund as long as I can provide police report and told to make another booking under my friend’s name which I did. CarJet went back on their words and said they are unable to refund because I fail to cancel 3 days ago when my documents were stolen. They have now ignored me making me think when they ask me to make a second booking is to make more money. All are e-mail supported. Now they have stopped responding to me and just says no refund. Be very wary!!!”
“When i booked the car there was no problem then on the way to the airport hours before they rang me saying becuse i booked a hour after they close they will charge me 10 € bit it did not say anything about that when booking on the site , I picked up the car and it was very dark the person checking the car had a phone torch on trying to look over the car while very windy so was super quick i was pointing out flaws all over the car but she said yes they are all marked down .. when I returned the car in the day the giy hecked and started trying to say i scuffed the plastic trim but it was only dust that i rubbed off but he kept saying is was scuffed but there was nothing there and now Hidden charge weeks later has been taken out my bank with no email for why for 73.80€ not good service 😒”
“Unserious company, bad service and much promises without a good service
Car jet has to be more strict with the third part of car hire who are dealing with in turkey because I had mess for the second time in antalya that the turkish company offer me an extra insurance fee to be covered in case of damage while I had always a fully covered insurance ( Platinum ) even though had credit card. Avoid car jet and especially in Turkey !!”

I’ve made a booking and when I arrived on the airport the rental company was not there, the car was NOT delivered. And now months after still no refund with an excuse that they can’t get in touch with the company. As you can see from all the comments nobody is getting refund. It’s a internet scam, they are stealing money!
The worst thing is I feel powerless.
If someone knows where you can make a complaint, some authorities please share. This company needs to be stopped! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!”
“Absolutely shocking..I have arrived at the car hire to find the store was closed. When I spoke to customer service (via email) they had informed me they would issue me a refund after they spoke to the car hire outlet to confirm I didn't pick up my vehicle. 7 months later and countless emails...still no refund!!!!!”

I arrived 1 hour late due to cancellation of the train, and when I arrived they simply told me that my rent was cancelled, I explained to them that it was not my fault and even so they canceled my car and they did not return my money. In the contract it does not mention anything about the cancellation for being late.”

I made a booking online on carjet website to rent a car in Dubai while I was still in Italy so that I have my piece my mind on my arrival. The irony is, when I reached the airport and headed directly to Hertz counter (carjet client) to pick up the car, the front desk agent asked for the card to hold a deposit, I gave him the same card that I used to pay the rent and the premium insurance, he said that the card isn’t accepted. So after 2 hours of arguing hopelessly, he asked me to cancel the booking and carjet will refund your money as you didn’t take the car.
I sent an email and called CarJet.com to seek their assistance. Their reply was “it’s your fault”
So I lost the money, the car remained available to be used by another customer and CarJet.com got its commission for a service that they didn’t offer!”

I felt like I was left in the dark and didn't receive any support or assistance. The customer service was poor, and I didn't feel like my concerns were taken seriously. “I did not receive the rented and paid car. Customer service does not respond to any messages or inquiries. It follows that the company is focused on cheating its customers, so if you have too much money and want to lose it, rent a car at Car Jet. Giving one star because there is no way to give a negative rating. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!”
“Wir haben ein Auto mit Rückgabe 6.30 Uhr gebucht und bestätigt bekommen. Hierfür wurden dann aber vor Ort zusätzlich 80 EUR mehr verlangt, da dies außerhalb der regulären Geschäftszeiten ist. Selbst bei Vollkasko ohne SB konnte der Schlüssel nicht einfach in den Briefkasten geworfen werden wie bei anderen Rent-Firmen. Endpreis war ein Vielfaches. Selbst ein Stern ist zuviel - Finger weg!!! Bzw. das Unternehmen Avia d.o.o. / Kroatien nicht mehr anbieten über Carjet bzw. anmieten.”
