we arrived to pick our car up? We were charged a further 105 euros for insurance. I'd already purchased premium insurance when booking the car. We were told that if we were in an accident we would have to stay in the country for 5 days. If we pay this money then we wouldn't need to stay for 5 days. Very disappointed with the service. No one was there to meet us at the airport as stated in the email we stood for an hour waiting, we are several people. If they've heard of this company, no one had heard of it. My husband went all over the airport to try and find them nothing. then when we did phone they said they were coming and get us. No one came to get us. They phoned back We were told to go to Terminal 2. We waited there and eventually a man walked towards us a Very abrupt and rude man. The car was disgusting. It had all dents on the side of it. The warning light was on, one of the head lights not working which we didn't notice until the next night would never use this company again. Why was it not stated that I would need to pay further insurance? SCAM Had this been the case? I would not have chose this company. I believe I have been scammed and I have requested and I will be contacting my bank. Also when we questioned all the dents scratches etc. The guy just shrugged his shoulders and nothing marked on the paperwork. There was a burn inside on seat. Very intimidating and threatening actions. Most definitely will not use this company again. We were too frightened to question anything. They were so intimidating like mobsters. When we did return the car they didn't even check it over. Scary. Oh and it's not card yet you get your car from. It's a company called surprice car rentals Montenegro”

“We paid 40EUR for these thieves. So we are considered to be the lucky ones upon reading others reviews. But we never got a car, our credit card was claimed as not suitable for deposit, the booking was made for carjJet, the voucher came for Right cars then when I called them they said we have to go for Active rent A Car. There is no e-mail address, just a useless phone number. I've managed to get a "customer service" mail address but there was nothing but explaning the unexplainable: no car, no service, I did not cancel the booking so they should have paid back the deposit. Then silence, no answer. It was a lessons learned for us: always read the reviews on the web. ;-)”
“I hired a car in London in late August 2023 through CARJET and had a collection time of 18:30 - due to baggage coming off the aircraft taking a little longer than normal and car traffic I arrived at the car hire company at 19:45pm. I had paid £508 for the car hire.
The car hire company said that they only keep the car for 1 hour after pick up time and have put it back in the “pool of cars available”. They said if I wanted to hire the car I would have to pay a further £420. This makes an entry level car hire £928 for 14 days.
This is ridiculous and grossly unfair to the customer. When I wrote to car jet they basically said tough and tried to blame the actual car hire company. They took no responsibility.
Please be aware of this scam. I spoke to two other customers on the bus back to the airport that this had happened to as well. Can you imagine how much this company is scamming? Holding a car for only 1hour (after you had paid for the full car hire) is not fair. This is theft.”
“Scammers. Car rental company. Does not adhere to car jet agreements. They demand payments already made to car jet. Car jet refuses refund even after paying all requested fees and rental company refusing to give car until a second payment to them is made. Please do not use them.”
“This is one of the worst companies I have ever encountered. Literally scammers. First of all, when a customer needs assistance they would contact customer support. It is the job of the customer support to help the customer not bash them, be rude, shout and hang up. All this happened on the call with two agents. None better than the other. When asked for a recording, I was told there is none. Asked for a manager- none available indefinitely. When asked for call transcript- also none.
Few days ago I rented a car on carjet. I selected from Athens airport. Assuming that it will be at the airport due to the selection. My phone died and I was at the airport searching for the kiosk. None. Asked around and found out that it isnt even in the airport! Then I couldnt reach carjet obviously because my booking was at 9pm and by then Carjet isnt working. So I took hours to find out the situation at the airport that the car rental agency and carjet are closed. The car rental place was supposed to meet me at the airport but we couldnt find each other. Due to not having any support from carjet and the car rental place, I was charged eventhough I didnt get a car. I spent 3 more hours there trying to sort out my transport from other companies. Believing that Carjet would be so king to rectify this problem the next day. Unfortunately when I contacted them the next morning, I was shouted at by their representative who bluntly says to me " its not our problem", "you clicked the terms and conditions". I tried to explain to her what had happened the night before but she had ZERO empathy. She continued to shout at me and I even told her to stop shouting and she shouldnt be treating her customers this way. Then she hung up the phone. Two days later I called carjet again, after speaking to Centauro car rental company twice and they informed me that they had not charged carjet as they couldnt give the car to me but carjet didnt care about it and just said, they wont process a refund as i clicked the terms and conditions. I said I would like to do a chargeback as I had not used this service and will not pay for it. Especially since Carjet STATED that the car rental agency would be at the airport not 5 kilometers away. Just because my phone died, they took advantage of this opportunity to use that as my fault. This is absolutely not normal as most companies would have empathy towards their customers, especially if they are taking money from their customers to run their business! This I had also to say to the 2nd customer service agent as she would not let me finish my sentence and was also rude and ignorant towards others feelings. Entirely I feel absolutely SCAMMED. Just because your customer has agreed to terms and conditions, that doesnt mean you do your BARE MINIMUM for them. When there are special cases like when your customers flight is delayed, met in an accident, phone died, or some form of unforseen circumstance. A company SHOULD take this into account and be prepared to help the customer. Remember A Happy Customer is a Loyal customer. Building a brand is lifetime and intimate. I am very disgusted by this company and how such thing can be allowed to operate in the world. This whole company, staff isnt built on the foundation to serve others but to profit from them. I will continue to file my case with the ombudsman.”
“I made 2 bookings via Carjet for car rentals in Paphos, Cyprus. Due to a changed flight time, I had to modify my booking which resulted in a higher overall price, however Carjet's website notified me on the confirmation page that I would be refunded EUR 10 per booking. The refund was never made. I contacted them multiple times in the interim - they mostly ignore emails (very important point - THERE IS NO TELEPHONE SUPPORT!!!). When they finally deigned to respond to an email, they informed me that they could not refund me because the credit card with which I had made the booking was cancelled (I had lost it months before). At this point that said they would refund me if I could provide them with a document from my bank with my bank details and the last 4 digits of my credit card. In my country, credit card companies are separate from banks so the bank could do no such thing since they have no knowledge of my credit cards. Similarly, the credit card company could not issue details of my bank account since they have no knowledge of my bank details. Carjet has refused point blank to refund me in any other way.
These guys are scammers and you're totally unprotected if you use them - there is no recourse since there is no phone number and unless you want to travel to Spain where they are registered, there is no way of reliably getting hold of them. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!”
“Car Jet / Do You Spain Took My Money…Poor communication.
I booked a car on 15 September for the following day on the of 16 September, after booking I noticed I made a big mistake and could not continue with the rental, I tried to contact Car Jet straight away but I only had a “pre booking” number and could not contact them with this number in any way.
I waited 20 minutes or so and seen the confirmation Email with the booking number, I contactd them straight away to cancel to get my money back (£85.10) as I had cancelled straight away and there should be no problem with refunding my money, but they emailed back saying you are not getting a refund as you did cancel your booking 48 hours before collecting the car, however I only booked the car 24 hours before so it was impossible to have 48 hours for me to cancel.
However I tried to call/email and contact them before they confirmed my booking but it was impossible, only after they confirmed and I cancelled straight they decided to take my money and I got nothing, I’ve contacted them again but they have ignored me. Only Car Jet taking my money, and its put me in a bad situation as a result. Ive had any car company have such a robotic response, poor way of contact and to take someone’s money in this situation!!! I can’t believe it.”
“We arrived at Nice airport to I collect our car to find out it had been cancelled. We were to have collected the car at the Goldcar desk. The assistant said we would be able to claim a refund and gave us paperwork to send to Carjet. However we still needed a car which cost €1069 as they automatically charge full insurance. I explained we had stand alone insurance but we still had to pay the full amount. In hindsight we should have taken ourselves away from the desk and booked another car online but we panicked and went with the easy option. I've emailed Carjet 3 times. The first said we couldn't get a refund the other times they've not even had the courtesy to reply. I think most car hire companies tend to rip you off but Carjet are definitely in a league of their own”

Got a Carjet voucher telling us to pick up a car at Carandgo. First there was an issue with the voucher and suddenly we had to pay the rental costs (several hundreds) in cash. Next we had to pay a posit of € 900,- but suddenly my Visa card did not work in there machine. We put extra money on it, even called the Visa company. They told our card worked just fine and there was enough credit on it. The issue was there machine not working on the Visa card. Still, In the end we did not get a car and had to rent a more expensive car at another company. Later I learned from the reviews this happens lots of time with this company. Despite all these bad reviews Carjet does not believe me and refuses to refund my deposit even after explaining many times. Very bad customer service!!”
