“I Booked a car via Carjet for one week for collection at Rhodes, as Carjet are just a broker the actual car rental company is Abbycar who are based in Rhodes. I paid Carjet for the extra insurance cover “CDW” collision damage waiver to make sure that the vehicle was fully insured with only a 600 Euro insurance exces. On arrival at the rental company I was told that the extra insurance that I had purchased was not what it seemed and in fact the insurance excess was unlimited. If I wanted extra full coverage insurance they would charge 100 Euros administration fee plus an extra 175 Euros for the full insurance. I called Carjet from the rental company office to explain this and they simply said that the rental car was wrong and that they weren’t able to cancel the booking. I asked the manager at the rental company to speak to the representative from Carjet who incidentally is based in Spain, and I was calling from my own mobile phone at my expense to clarify the situation. They argued amongst each other for a few minutes without any resolution and as a result I left the rental company without a car. I hade spent over two hours in the rental company office trying to find a solution and whilst I was there it was very obvious that this was happening to every customer that arrived, all they were interested in doing was trying to charge extra insurance cover to everyone. If you want some advice I would be very careful with booking through either of these companies as it’s far cheaper to use one of the more reputable car rental companies that are based in the airport itself.
If you look at Carjets headline prices then add their own extra insurance costs plus expect another 175 Euros for one week then it’s certainly not as cheap as it first seems.
I have been told by Carjet that they will not refund my car rental charge as I didn’t cancel within 24 hours of the booking!!!
I’ve travelled extensively and always booked my car rental directly up until this experience, make your own conclusions from this !!!😡😡😡”

“Be very careful with the mileage they write on the vouchers because it's something ridiculous and you will need to pay twice for the car because you drive it. If I rent a car I do so to use it not to stare at it..
They are based in Spain and obviously lazy to answer the phone also because I couldn't change the country I requested insurance for in their system and needed their dispatch.”
“I am not happy. I picked up the car yesterday from Gatwick. The Drivila office told me that it was better to pay their everyday cover instead of 1500 held on the credit card as i would have to challenge Carjet legally to claim back any money, should i have an accident etc... He told me that it was impossible to claim back money. And it would be better if pay Drivila 380 pounds to cover my 10 days and then any issues or damage would be written off and no issue.... How can this be? So I paid 360 pounds with Carjet, then another 380 pounds to Drivila as i was told that Carjet was not worth claiming against should anything go wrong. I feel i have been tricked and conned, legally of course as i am not an insurance expert..... It is misleading and quite wrong.....
Also, impossible to contact anyone at Carjet, Drivila etc.....
It is agent upon agent, not clear and i am now 700 pounds to the bad. When i assumed, stupidily it was a good deal at 380 pounds....
I am not rich and not looking for anything but fairness.

“Payed up front for the hire of a car from Newcastle Airport with extra insurance for premium cover. When arrived to pick it up was sent to a third party used by them Europcar who gave me a different car than ordered then charged me when I got home another £144.00 for another insurance. I think this is legalise corruption and fraud.Do not rent from these companies”

arrived in Kos 3 hours late, despite having communicated the flight number, at 11pm we found the OFFICE CLOSED. No cars and lost booking money. Despite phone calls and emails there was no possibility of a refund. CARJET collaborates with EUROPCAR and each discharges the responsibility to the other, DO NOT RENT with these 2 companies: they are incompetent not to say scammers !!!!!!!!!”
“This company is a total scam! I cancelled a reservation within "free" (absolutely not true) termination timeframe and was sent an email that a refund of only €150 would be given in 3 to 4 days. That was over a month ago and no refund. I have sent 3 requests through their website for a status of this refund and none have been responded to. This company has no integrity.”

Customer service the worst , we tried to call multiple times to find someone and explained our issue, we went to Hertz in Abu Dhabi airport and we rented a car for a month!!! Hertz wasn’t able to give us the car and they told us to call Carjet for a refund! We called them more than 2 times after 40’ on the line and they sent us two times an email that they will contact Hertz to confirm that we never collected the car for the refund, we called Hertz they never had a call neither e mail! “They left us without car at the Tangier's airport, at midnight and with small children. Then refused to return our money. Highly unreliable!
We were two families with children traveling to Morocco. We had a reservation of 2 mid-sized cars; we made the advance payment and we got several confirmation mails. At the airport there was only one car and it was Hundai I10 - we wouldn't be able to fit into it with the children and all the luggage.
I was writing mails to CarJet for months wanting them to return our money. The only answer was that they need more time to clarify the case. They are clarifying it for 4 months up to now. So they actually refused to return the money, without saying anything...”
