“I hired a car from 26th of August until 6th September 11days. Would not recommend Carjet. Booked a car online, thought I was getting a 5 door Fiesta or similar and took out the Platinium Excess Waver Insurance Policy, which was explained that I did not have to pay any additional insurance. When arrived at Birmingham Airport I had to get the monarail to Birmingham International train station, which was not a problem but had to wait quite a while to be picked up.
Was taken to a trading estate to Easirent car hire. They told me the insurance I took out with Carjet was not valid with them and wanted to take £1500 off my credit card and said it would be refunded if the car was returned ok, this was impossible as I did not have the funds of £1500 on my credit card at the time. He said it was going to cost me an extra £385.00 insurance with them. I had already paid Car Jet £412.82. I asked to cancel the car hire completely, he said he couldn’t guarantee I would get my £412.82 refunded. So I ended up having to pay an extra £385.00 for car insurance. They had no fiesta or similar available. I ended up with a dirty Mini Cooper sports covered in dents and scratches which cost me a fortune in petrol as it had a 2 litre engine, all I wanted was a little run around car. I contacted Carjet who did refund the £61.62 insurance I paid them. Would not recommend Carjet or Easirent, complete false information and total rip off. Ended up costing me a fortune to hire a car for 11 days. It would of been cheaper for me to get taxis to get about for 11 days. Reservation no. CJT 39637443.”

ACE Car Rental - Manchester
Booked & Paid for a car rental (Manchester Airport CarJet Ref: CJT-40173845) on 14th September 2021.
On 17th September when I arrived at Manchester Airport I called them and they advised me to go to Car Rental Village. On arrival at car rental village I called again and was shocked with the answer, which was:
" We do not have car until Monday so go to any other car rental company to rent a car."
When I asked why you confirmed the booking if you did not had the car they reply was to speak to CarJet as I am ACE car Rental and I have no Booking for you.
At the spot I had to rent a car again from AVIS Car Rental and paid 4 times the price as I had no other option at that time.
Zero Customer Service as finally got in touch with customer service after 5 days of trying thier number.
Instead of an opology, she told me that "I have to check with the car rental company if I was telling the right thing". And then she sent me an email from info2(at)doyouspain.com

Please please please never rent a car from Car Jet. They say on their website that they have millions of happy customer... but when you read reviews on reviews.io and google you will find close to 3% people who recommend them. I wish if I had option to give them -5 Stars.

“Real Cheaters, "carjet.com= doyouspain.com), rented a car on 22nd August for 25 days and they took the money in full from my card right after. Something went wrong with my card and then nobody was properly responding from the Carjet company. There is no customer care service and they are not traustable at all. please do not hire from them and please if you reside in Europe take your chance to place a proper complaint against this untrustworthy Spanish website.”
“Worst car rental. Avoid at all costs!! scam, scam, scam!!! Picked up the car at Zagreb airport at around 23pm. The car was dirty inside and full of scratches to the exterior and the assistant claimed it had been washed and had a very sarcastic attitude. We asked for an English copy of the documents which he said was not possible. The payment itself was dodgy as he tried to trick us about the insurance making us pay more for something that was already in the original price. He did a brief inspection on the car and the following morning (in daytime) we realised there were a lot more scratches which had not been accounted for so we drove to them so they could point them out on the form. Terrible customer service the guy was about to drive off because he didn’t want to help and said the scratches wouldn’t be a problem and his answer to everything was “that’s not our problem you have to speak to customer service.” Extremely arrogant and not much help. We had to argue for around 20min until he decided to point the further damage on the form. (In places he knew there was damage but didn’t bother to check and we had video proving so!!!) thankfully the drop off in Dubrovnik was fine with no strings attached. Be very careful when booking with this car rental company.”

“I booked a car for 2 weeks with car jet on 24 th of August 2021 . The money ( 430 Euro ) were taken from my credit card straight away. The prepaid car hire voucher says that the car is ready to be picked up at Tirana airport from Kady/ Europa car.

“Made reservations for 3 cars with my friends. Nobody got the car they had reserved, we all had to pay new insurance even though we have payed “platinum” insurance on Carjet. All ended up paying almost double than reservation. Two cars never got back their 70€ reservation deposit and there is absolutely no customer service to complain. Scam company all over! Would give minus stars if possible. Booked with CJet for Vienna Airport for a week. First time i have used them. To say I regret it is a vast understatement. Chose a car thru Enterprise as they are usually so good.
On arrival at Vienna Airport 7-9-21..NO CARS...for any of us prebooked customers. This has totally ruined my holiday as I was booked for a week at a cottage in the Vienna Woods....25 km out of city and 10km to nearest station, and is going to cost me a lot.

“I booked a car, read the T&Cs, which were incorrect. The Alamo location (Birmingham airport) does not accept debit cards for rental, but the T&Cs says that it does (with further ID). I had further ID, but no credit card. Therefore, Alamo cancelled the booking and I had to pay to rent elsewhere.
I have called Carjet several times to get a refund, as Alamo has confirmed to me that they have not charged Carjet. It hard to get through on the Spanish number that is given for customer service. When I eventually did get through to someone 2 weeks ago, I was informed that they needed to get confirmation from Alamo. I asked how long that would take. They informed me 5 days. It is now over 2 weeks. I have called back again and was informed that they still have not heard back from Alamo (which I find unbelievable). They advised that they would email Alamo again. I asked to speak with a manager and was immediately informed that the manager is unavailable, and that they will get her to call me back. Lets see how that will pan out!
I have also tried to email them, but to no avail. They don't respond to emails either!
I would not use these scammers again. Nor would i recommend anyone else to either. If you have an issue, it is really hard to get the issue resolved. They take your money quick enough (within seconds), but when it comes to customer after care and refunds, THEY ARE AS SLOW AS A TORTOISE AND SUCK!”
