“Booked a 9 seater vehicle with full advance upfront payment including full insurance amount for Euro 800. Later after following up was informed that due to unavailability of vehicle no booking can be confirmed and full amount will be refunded back with the insurance value to the credit card. I am still waiting for the refund and contacting them via their website incident reporting but not getting any response. Other website take only 10% of the advance and balance to be paid to the rental company. I would strongly advice not to book any rental car through this website . Their is not customer support to contact them for the refund amount.”

On arrival to jersey Avis said that they don't even own any small cross over vehicles and provided me with a small Toyota Yaris.
I explained to Avis that I had purchased an Citroen C4 Cactus because my mother was still recovering from a hip replacement.
Avis said that I would need to contact Car Jet.
Contact telephone number is never answered. No email address. Left with my mother struggling to get into a vehicle I didn't purchase.

“Een nieuwe verschijning in het autoverhuur branche die mij in de val gelokt heeft (grotendeels mijn eigen schuld, maar toch).
Terwijl in het verleden alle organisaties een 24 uur annuleringsbeleid CarJet (die ook nog steeds beweert op de eigen site) heeft "speciale aanbieding" die niet meer te veranderen zijn en dit had ik niet in de gaten (ook eigen schuld, nogmaals).
Maar toch, gezien de moeilijke tijden (Corona en veranderingen in vluchttijden) een zeer ongewenste verkooppolitiek!
Ik wou de teruggeeftijd van enkele uren veranderen maar dat ging dus niet meer! Ondanks telefoontjes naar Italiƫ en Spanje (bij dit laatste ben ik toch vroegtijdig mee gestopt gezien de wachttijd en voortvloeiende kosten).
Ik zal voortaan beter opletten uiteraard, maar hopelijk dat de strategie gaat veranderen. Ik vermoed dat dit ontstaan is met de wetenschap dat er dubbele boekingen dan mogelijk zijn en extra winst gemaakt kan worden op de rug van de klanten.”

Unable to contact as Spanish tel no. and email is useless so literally no customer service. Couldn't cancel as less than 24hrs and upgrade too expensive aspn the day. Unless you don't care about the car you want, don't book. Pay extra and go direct with rental company if you want what you pay for. Will never use again”

Absolute SCAM company. Booked and paid in full for a rental car for my vacation in Turkey Bodrum. Upon arrival at the airport the number provided for contact was not working. The company did not even have a booth at the airport.I tried to contact the customer service without any success. Whatever you do, do NOT USE THIS COMPANY to book your rental. We eventually had to book a new car at the airport and the company took our money.”

There was no car no office open nobody answered the phone calls and still nobody has replied to complaint emails. They took Ā£170 out of my account and I had to get a taxi transfer to Edinburgh airport for connection flight

“I was picking up my car on the 16th July from Glasgow airport. A man picked me up at the airport in a battered old van. The office is a drive from the airport about 10 minutes. He asked for all my documents, credit card etc before he asked for a utility bill which I didnāt have with me. I showed him things on my phone but he wouldnāt have it he wanted a utility bill or more money. After I refused to pay more money he got very nasty and said if I donāt respect him I could walk back to the airport. CarJet got back to me with 1 email basically saying I was a liar and got my review took down from trustpilot. DONT use this company. I am going to contact trading standards and advise others to do the same.”
“Totally scammed in Rhodes. I was offered a car I did not book (they argued that it was the same category), it was damaged and old and I refused to accept it. They cancelled my order and of course no money back as it was a special deal they said. Contacted the email on the carjet website and I received one reply after the day of my booking that said my reservation start date had now passed and they canāt do anything about it. Replied that I sent a message to them days before and still no reply. In Rhodes no one heard of them before, and their kiosk is not inside the airport because it is fishy. Lost around 1000 euros for a car I did not take. No refund because they tried to give me a damaged car”
“THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM AND SHOULD NOT BE USED. I am only giving 1 star as there is no way to give ZERO.. I had a booking from Heathrow with them for EUROPCAR. My flight was delayed so I missed a connection from Miami to London. I emailed them immediately asking to push the booking back by 24 hours as I was put on a next day flight. I called their office a total of 8 times with a total wait time of over 2 hours⦠no one ever answered the phone, nor answered my emails, until after the time for my collection. They then told me it was after the collection time and the booking could not be changed.
However I managed to speak to EUROPCAR directly who were brilliant and made the changes.
I asked them what they knew about CARJET and they said that my experience was no unusual and they head heard several complaints about them.. So I went online and guess what⦠ALL the reviews are the same⦠1 star!. This company is a joke.. they want to take your money; then you cant make changes, so the car rental company doesnāt bill them back, and as you cant get the money from CARJET, they keep it⦠A TOTAL SHAMELESS SCAM⦠DO NOT USE THEMā¦. SCAMMERS! Booked car to pick up from Stansted and tried to pick up with Passport, Driving licence, NHS Covid ID with address confirmation but they would not let me take car without utility bill!!
I offered top scan a utility bill from home but they would not accept and said it had to be original. Everything i tried they would not accept. On leaving without the car and spending £200 on taxi home to Brighton he said have a nice day. If my wife had not been there he would have had a smack in the mouth.
I am going to follow up by reporting to trading standards and so should the rest of you. It is the only way to get these companies shut down.
You cannot contact them either as booking with Carjet no working tel number or email.”

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONāT USE THIS COMPANY it could ruin your holiday and may even be fraudulent. I think it is owned by Do You Spain. I booked a car through them for Crete. Voucher said an agent from Carplus Rent would meet us at the airport last night. They did not arrive. We waited over an hour and a half - none of the rental companies at the airport had even heard of them. We eventually had to get a taxi to our resort as we had no alternative at that time of night and it cost us nearly 100 euros. NOW THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW - the number they give to contact Carplus does not work and there is no website for Carplus. And the only way you can contact Carjet (puts you through to Do You Spain) is by phone as you will notice they donāt give an e mail address on their site. I WAITED AN HOUR for someone to answer. They said they could not get hold of Carplus and told me to re-book!!! I asked for the agent to send me contact details for Carplus but all he sent me was my e mail address, my voucher number and the website of Carjet! To get a car on Crete last minute will now cost about 3 times the going rate. Itās outrageous if not fraudulent and frankly I donāt think they care. Read the rest of the reviews on this site and the real reviews on Trustpilot ie. not the āinvitedā reviews which are controlled by Carjet and amazingly are all positive only positive!!! If CarJet or Do You Spain actually read this site maybe they would care to contact me and explain why this is not fraudulent and refund my money and expenses. For their reference my booking number is CJT-38760518. Keep an eye on if they reply. Until then do yourself a massive favour and use another company.”
