I purchased my car on 04/07. The car showroom was fine however I turned up and was told I couldn’t test drive any cars due to being under 21, had this been communicated with me before I wouldn’t have been so let down. The staff were nice and the restrictions in place due to Covid were good. After purchasing my car, I wasn’t advised of the after-sale process, so I waited for a call from the sales rep that I purchased it from. However I got no call, and when I tried to call him I got no answer or response. I then contacted the main showroom and I was directed to the After-Sales team (which I didn’t know existed), who then told me I had additional finance agreement paperwork to fill out. I didn’t mind doing this however again, if I had been told in advance I would’ve had this done so I could get my preferred collection date. I then organised to visit the showroom to collect my car the following Wednesday, however I had to wait for an hour before any member of staff came to speak to me. Eventually, Zoe helped me get my car and I was really pleased with how effectively she dealt with me and how helpful she was. I think the after sale service is absolutely rubbish in terms of communication. There was also a problem where the tyre pressure sensor came on at the showroom, I flagged this to the sales rep and was told it would be fixed, however it is still showing as a warning light in my car. I spoke to David on 21/07, who I believe is in the service team, and he was helpful and directed me to the best place to get help! However I’m so disappointed that this wasn’t looked into before I collected my car

I recently purchased a car from your Car Store Hillington. I have never received such bad service from any other car dealer in my life. To name a few complaints; your salesman lied about the deal made. This only came to light once the sale concluded. Apparently the “recorded calls” were conveniently not recorded. On collection of the car, it was apparent it had not been cleaned. Coffee stains in cup holder and mud on the interior. The front near side mat was missing also. I had the car home for one day when the engine management light came on. I accept thing happen to cars. But the car was returned 3 days ago and to date I have no idea where the car is. Or if it’s been repaired. Trying to get through to the branch is a joke. I have spent roughly an hour every day trying to find out where my car is. I’ve left countless messages with receptionists requesting call back. I’m still waiting. I have previously bought from Peter Vardy and had a great experience. However I will never use this brand again. I certainly won’t be recommending Peter Vardy to anyone. Where is my car?????

We were kept waiting for over an hour when collecting car the excuse being it was not taxed yet and they had to find someone to go to post office. When we eventually got in to car we found it had not been cleaned, the upholstery was stained and the steering wheel was disgusting, this is the first time we have purchased from yourselves and very much doubt we would ever do so again.

Received courtesy call on Saturday evening from Sales Agent Ryan. After asking how I was enjoying my new car I explained that the SD card was missing to activate the navigation system. He explained Sales Office was closed until Monday but would email them and call me on Monday? Mentioned to Ryan that both sets of keys never had new Peter Vardy keyrings, and one was very badly scratched that I took off and binned due to Covid-19. After several conversations with Ryan I reassured him that my rating had nothing to do with him. He was very professional when showing me the car (s) and never pressured me in any way that was off taking. 4 weeks later and still not received SD card.

Was missold my car. Finance agreement was a personal loan which wasn't disclosed to me. Was told I had the option to voluntarily terminate after 30 months which is not true. Very very dissatisfied with being lied to. Especially to my face.

Purchased my car in October 2019. I have had several courtesy cars because peter vardy failed to make sure the car was fixed before I left the showroom with my new car back in October. There was some sticky substance on my drivers seat, dent on the passengers door, dent at the back of the car, back window seal coming off, no parcel shelf, not cleaned inside or out for delivery. Once I got the car and started driving my wing mirror started clicking and not moving out when I opened or closed the car. My mats werent inside the car nor was my £40 diesel I was promised by Matthew who no longer works there. I sympathized with them as it was the end of the month for sales purposes as I was promised all will be done when it comes in for repair. I then have to call and email several times before I actually speak to someone. Customer service is absolutely shocking, I've tried to make several complaints and it just goes back to the sales manager George which isnt any good for me. Its George who I am complaining about, there time, effort and whole demeanor is appalling and I regret ever moving from Arnold Clark to peter vardy. Stay away if you can. ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ I have now been called by the general store manager Alistar Page via mobile once I submitted my review 2 days ago. Alistair took everything I had said in and has promised all will be rectified including a courtesy car to my door instead of me driving to the garage. I have faith in Alistair who is working from home and took 20 minutes with me going over the whole situation from start to finish. I now have Alistair mobile to contact in the future so that all gets dealt with there and then. I am feeling much more at ease since weve spoken and I understand due to the pandemic circumstances it will be longer than I would like. However I like the truth and being kept upto date which he promises to do. Thanks for your time today Alistair! :)

Words can not explain the appalling experience I had with Peter Vardy. All the joy of buying a new car was ruined by false promises and extremely poor customer service.

Started off smooth but as the sale came to a close it became a hassle more than anything else and I was tempted to cancel the sale and walk away. I took a vehicle on a test drive during which the window wipers came off the car and I was ensured if I was continuing with the sale the matter would be dealt with and resolved. It was agreed with the salesman Darren that I would collect the car on Monday 10th feb however when I arrived there I was informed that the handover was not booked and in fact changes to my financial agreement were made without me being made aware or even asked. I was then required to sign another document for finance and had to be sent away to wait for money being released. Within a few hours I received a call to say my car was ready to be collected. When I arrived the second time there seemed to be a lot of commotion and staff dealing with myself were uninformed about the sale and the fact I had traded my previous car, it was clear there is a definite lack of communication between staff members. Knowledge about the car and talking me through how to work everything was extremely limited and I basically had to figure everything out on my own. Once I drove the car out of the garage I was driving no more than 20 minutes when the window wiper came off on the middle of the road while the rain was heavy. My vision was extremely poor and unsafe however I made my way back to peter Vardy (Hillington, where I purchased my vehicle) to report the issue. It was soon found out that the wipers were not changed nor fixed and were also the incorrect wipers for this car. I spoke with the manager Alex who was rude and patronising, he appeared to have absolutely no people manners and shocking customer service skills. The salesman Darren followed me through to the workshop where I watched them replaced the wipers with correct ones however he did mention that his only job is to sell cars making it clear he is not interested in customer care. The handover manager was great and very empathetic the only member of staff I felt encouraged to talk to. Overall the service has a lot of room for improvement and this will be my first and last vehicle from Peter Vardy

After buying my car and paying in full I reported a missing item from the car. This was in November days after taking delivery. This is now the end of January and still I have not had the missing item supplied. I also discovered that the car horn did not work and again after reporting this I have received no information about what can be done about this. In short the customer service from this company is nothing short of disgraceful and I will in no way ever purchase a vehicle from them again. I had hoped to get my future servicing carried out but that will not happen. I will be taking this complaint higher and I expect a full explanation as to why it seems as soon as you leave the showroom you are in fact forgotten and hopefully you will just disappear and say no more. I don’t expect MR Vardy would be too happy to learn of this.

REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE, travelled 180mile to collect our new car only to be left sitting for 1 1/2 hours and to then find the car with damage to the bodywork wheel and grill. We had no choice but to leave with the car with the agreement that Peter Vardy would pay for repairs at our home town. On travelling home the service warning light came on. It took us weeks to get things sorted with numerous telephone calls and emails going unanswered and with threats to return the car. The arrogance of the staff at this store is unbelievable. We still have scatches in various locations but its just not worth the hassle to get this sorted. I should have looked at the reviews of this dealership before I decided to considrr a vehicle from them.

We cannot write a review if we still haven’t got the car of which had been fully paid, when I finally got the car it was much better but still a few more quality checks could be done before handover.

The after sales team were truly awful to try and coordinate even basic repairs. I wrong down and provided pictures of the work to be carried out. After 3 days went to pick the car up and none of the work had been completed (apart from a replaced door seal). There was no inspection mechanism to ensure the work was carried out and no confirmation review provided to let me know the outcome of work. I have had to follow up with Citroen due to a lack of clarity regarding an issue I have raised. I would however like to call out that Brian McWilliams my sales advisor was great and tho only person I dealt with who was profession, prepared and supportive. I was very impressed with his person service but as a company I have not been satisfied with the end to end process. In addition I would like to point out that although a second hand car is not a new car, i still spent £10500 which is a high outlay and not something I am prepared to accept incompetent after sales service. At one stage I was informed that the after sales team knew nothing about certain work to be carried out even though I had a confirmation voice mail to the contrary.

Car not ready when I was told it would be. Could never get a hold of the same person and poor communication between departments/people. Promised call backs and never received them. When we finally called and got a hold of them, we felt that one person in particular was bordering on rude and definitely unhelpful. Unfortunately the worst buying experience I’ve ever received anywhere, car or not.

I initially reserved a vehicle and paid deposit online, i then went it to see the car & was told the vehicle had been sold. I spent a few hours in motorstore & found an alternative. I done the deal on the Monday & received a few extras & discount due to the misunderstanding. I went to collect vehicle on the Thursday & unfortunately i misplaced my photo i.d. which is my own fault but when i was in i was told my car wasnt even ready, so even if i had my i.d. i would have still left without the car. Now today Monday 28th October i went in with suitable i.d. to collect car. Everything was approved. I went outside to my new car & not one thing has been done to my car as agreed. For starters the paintwork has not been attended to as agreed. The nsr door is all scratched and dented. Alloys have not been redurbished as agreed. The rear tow eye cover was missing. No parcel shelf in car. On rear boot floor it was covered in mussy footprints. The boot seal was hanging off. Overspray all over rear bumper lower part. The drivers exterior mirror & A pillar is covered in glue from tape marks. The car was not washed and covered in dust, plastics have water marks all over them. The steering wheel is sitting off centre. The interior still has the marks on it from when i initially saw it. And the worst part is i had to get a plastic seat cover from the salesman to put on my drivers seat as all the seats were wet! I only received one key amd was told the other key would be posted out. What happens if that key goes missing in the post? The fuel receipt was sitting on my passenger seat and the fuel was spilled all down from the diesel cap and not cleaned. I coupsnt link my bluetooth as all the devices hadnt been wiped from the memory & the names were not very appropriate on the screen. The sat nav was full of the previous owners trips & his home address is still in the memory of the car, which i may be mistaken is a breach of GDRP. I have spent 10k on this vehicle & yes it isbt the biggest sale for a company like yourself but to myself is a lot of money & the excitement of buying a new car has not beem there with Peter Vardy's. Im so disappointed in the whole experience. I was so looking forward to purchasing my new car & now ive been left angry & hurt by the whole experience. I now have to bring my car in to get all this work fixed & im not that confident that it will be done to your so called advertised standards. I would not recommend any of my family or friends is using yourselves now. The salesman was more than apologetic and helpful bit the whole experience has sadly been a huge let down

When I first picked up my car after it was supposed to have some work done which was agreed when I got the car, I was disappointed with the car as the polish on the outside was rushed and had smudges all over the outside, I was promised a show room standard clean. Also back panel above back tire on right side was sticking out, and a dent on the drivers door next to handle was still present. I discussed this with the sales rep when I got the car I wanted these things fixed and we agreed this would happen so I took the car. So I was disappointed that the promise wasn't kept for the condition of the car. I then also had to contact the store to try get my car back in to get the bits fixed which was forgotten. That took weeks and then I finally got the car in the garage. They had my car for a week even though it was booked in for a day to get work done. I also had to get 2 family members to take my car in on the night before the car was booked in for work to get started, due to being a learner driver. And was told 2-3 days my car would be ready and this failed also. I phoned up the store asking if my car was ready, due to my work I need plenty of notice as I work Monday to Friday. And sometimes away from home. Every member of staff I spoke to knew nothing about my car and put me on hold then said they'd get someone from after sales to phone me back. No one would phone me back and when I did speak to someone they knew nothing about my car. I think the communication skills with the staff from the showroom, after sales and body work department are shocking, they kept no record of my car getting work done, no one even told me what was happening and it might take longer than expected. I lost out in valuable time as a learner driver for a week as no car to use for practice. Ruined my experience of getting my first car due to poor communication skills and not caring after the sale was done. Once the body work department fixed my car and the parts I wasn't happy with, there was no apology and the guy who let me see my car after the work had no idea of my complaint also. Just handed me the keys back. Not a good first experience for me! And my family have been put off from using the store also as they had to take me in a few times to deal with the matters.
