"Wish I could give a zero star. ClickMechanic did nothing but took commission fees from mechanics and customer. When there\u2019s an argument between you and mechanic, they don\u2019t give a f. I spent \u00a360 for 2 mins car inspection and mechanics can\u2019t even say what the issue was, clickmechanic just left my case in resolution centre and not respond any more. They don\u2019t even vet the mechanic, so you would expect all types of mechanics with varied skills. Booked for diagnosis inspection, the mechanic was later for two hours, no phone call no text, the mechanics said he didn\u2019t receive any booking confirmation from ClickMechanic, I\u2019ve been waiting for two hours for nothing. Then mechanic asked me to change the time, next morning he showed up and did two minutes testing with device, said no issue with my car. The car alarm still went off, he told me it\u2019s the issue with the sensor, I can buy some rubber washer from Amazon and put it on the edge of the door, then he charged me for \u00a360 and left. Does this sound like professional advice? It will easily come off when I shut the door. I complained on ClickMechanic, then he phoned me twice and asked me to close the case because he couldn\u2019t accept any job. He told me he will get quote from the dealer to replace the sensor, then no response after couple of weeks. I messaged on ClickMechanic again he finally replied saying it\u2019s the issue with software, I need to go to the main dealer. What is all this about? Why do I need to pay someone to guess the problem with my car? I can just google it and it\u2019s free. At this point click mechanics had zero involvement. Shame on you! Asked for refund but clickmechanic said all mechanic are independent, but they allocated me with this mechanic, I don\u2019t even know who they are, are they legit? These overrated reviews are all fake. UPDATE: ClickMechanic manager finally messaged and said mechanic is allowed to guess, they did nothing wrong. If you want to please your mechanic rather than customers, I don\u2019t mind! Anybody who wants to use this website BE AWARE they\u2019re not on your side, and 2 mins detection cost you \u00a360 for doing nothing, you will still don\u2019t know what the cause is!!!"

“Had a mechanic called Steve come and do my clutch including part and warranty in June 2020 he said he had completed the work for the clutch on the same day I had problems with it. He said it must be the part he had purshased and that he will get the part and put the new one in and take out the faulty one that he pushased. I have gave Steve numerous chance to come a rectify the outstanding job and through numerous messages with my dad who is also a retired mechanic. He made a date and never stuck to it . I will give him 24 hours to refund the money back into my account I’ve messaged him my details or I will take this further I have all the messages and screen shot, emails confirmation. I will report it to trading standards and I will see him in court .”

“Contacted click mechanic to replace my alternator.they quoted me a price I agreed and a bit of time later a mechanic rang from Walsall performance centre agreeing to carry out repair.my car was repaired with a 12 month guarantee.only for the car to breakdown with the same problem 7 weeks later .i got in touch with Walsall performance centre (mark) who said they would be out on Monday to replace the alternator as it was guaranteed. Wouldn’t be a problem.needless to say no one turned up to repair my car .triedcto speak to Walsall performance centre only for my number to be blocked .so I contacted click mechanic direct who did get in touch with Walsall performance centre who again gave me the run around again .my car still not repaired 3 weeks later .i gave them a good comment on there website because the first part of my dealings with this garage Was great .but once a problem happened with there repair they did not want to know because I had already paid them they would not honour myv12 month guarantee they had given me ... be warned do not touch this garage Walsall performance centre they can not be trusted at all .”

“Unprofessional from the mechanic to the customer manager Alex! Be Aware!!!!! They fit a wrong part of alternator !!!!!!!!!Mechanic put tap water on the cooling system totally unprofessional corrosive the entire system!forgot to change the alternator belt as well! 570£ Witch it’s a totally fraud! Don’t leave them to touch your car.book yourself with a garage or order a platform instead throwing the money away!”

“Had a guy out to do a major service and change an aux belt. Pretty simple jobs, I could and should have given them a go myself but yet after 3 hours all he had done was change an oil filter, air filter and then proceed to screw the car when it came to the fuel filter. Said he wasn't going to charge and then charged and put down he felt threatened. Click Mechanic clearly side with their mechanics and looking at the reviews on here I would say these are more accurate compared to that off those on the site everyone should *trust* won't use again and would advise any one considering to re consider and pay once not cheap and pay twice”

“Told them I had a flat battery, arrived an hour late, spent 10 minutes looking at it and then told me I had a flat battery 😂. Charged me £59 for that information which I already had told them before call out. Said he’d come back 5 days later and gave me a quote of £211. I rang RAC, they came out and checked battery and fitted a new one for £169, I wish I’d gone to the best first and not bothered with Click mechanic, they got £59 out of me for absolutely nothing 😡”

“Having used click mechanic in the past, when I need a part replaced as a precaution it was my go to..my mechanic was due between 10 and 12.. throughout the day insisted he'd be here even if it was going to take him till 11pm. At 10pm..he cancelled and reacheduled for 2 days time..after taking apart the engine he realised he had the wrong part and insisted that all the parts were left in the boot..for 3 days I couldn't use my vehicle. Today he managed to source the part for an extra 90something pounds..despite another 10 till 12 appointment he eventually arrived at 8pm..the repair was completed less than an hour ago.. I write this review as I now sit in my vehicle with a snapped belt which was replaced under an hour ago! My car which was fully functional before clicks involvement is waiting to be loaded onto a recovery vehicle.”

“Absolute joke, got robbed of £90 cash ontop of the job I paid for, said needed new Callipers aswell cash only, took cash and ran when I checked hadn't replaced, lost my spare key fob Which i paid £250 3 mnts prior for, the guy who collected decided he couldn't be bothered to use the winch and drag the car on the back of the truck so ragged the car with seized brakes up the ramp burning the hell out of the clutch so yeah thanks click mechanic and good luck contacting anyone for help or renumeration once they have your cash its so long sucker!!!”

“worst ever experience , they are just looting money , came to repair coolant leak/water pump- of my peogeot 208 , fault is still there and mechanic left as such , now they are asking for more money for diagnostic check , totally dishonest and incompetent mechanic”

“A horrible company. They sent a mechanic without proper tools and equipment. He “serviced” my Mercedes Benz on my drive way, changed oil and left a huge spillage on the driveway, the oil got onto my plants. I will need to hire a company to remove that oil and it will cost a few hundred pounds. I have never ever experienced such a horrible service .”

“Please be aware of these scammers! They were meant to carry out my car work at home, all agreed to. They decided upon arrival they were taking it to a garage nearby, with no explanation as to why. As the location of the garage they mentioned was round the corner I reluctantly let them take my car. I then followed them in my spare car and realised they were going in a completely different direction to what they said and I lost them as I couldn’t keep up. I called them up and found nobody answered, I went into a panic and texted them that I wanted my car back and that I’d go to the police if they didn’t return it. They answered after reading that. When questioned, they said they were taking the car out of town. Completely changing yet again what they had initially advised and the location. I asked him to return my car And he got verbally abusive. Upon return of my car I was sworn at once agin for wasting their time, he started taking photos of my car And being intimidating. I then got further calls from the ‘garage’ where the so called mechanic was, he began to shout and swear yet agin as I changed my mind. Customer Service is alien to these people. I was totally shaken up by this experience. I was then advised by a friend they have form for this. They take your car, fix the fault and suddenly more faults appear, by the time you know it, your bill is extortionate and unaffordable, and obviously no payment means no car! I can not for a moment believe the positive reviews are even real! Stay away, I know I will.”

“The job was meant to be carried out at my home, instead the mechanic insisted on driving my car back and forth to his garage a journey of, who knows each way saying the car would be fine. In the process of replacing my clutch after a premature clutch bearing failure at 32000 miles(out of warranty), which took nearly a month to complete, as parts didn't fit apparently, and he caused a gearbox leak from the nearside driveshaft. 9 months on I have just had to pay out nearly £1,000 for the gearbox to be rebuilt after input shaft bearing failure lead to complete failure, the car is presently at 34000 miles provable with MOT certificates, Also stay away from Kia,s 7 year warranty, not worth the paper it's written on for major failures....”

“Booking #4115251 Absolutely appalled with my experience at ClickMechanic. Nick, the "mechanic" who came to fix a problem with the heater fan in my car only made the issue worse, and still charged me over £200. It appeared to be working fine when he left but it broke again shortly after. He came to "rectify" the issue again but was still left broken days later and had the cheek to suggest I'd "tampered" with it. I decided to take my car to an actual Vauxhall garage and they identified that the part had been fitted incorrectly by Nick which is why it kept breaking. Even after sending proof of Vauxhall's report & findings, Nick still wouldn't accept liability for this costly and time-consuming case and refused to refund any fees or give any form of compensation. ClickMechanic provided no support on my behalf and "resolved" the case with no compromise whatsoever. I will not be using them again.”

“Booked my car in on the 29th Feb for brake repair. I paid £137 up front. The mechanic drove my car to the garage. He said it could be fixed and will return my car later. A week later I still had not returned. I was texting him wanting to know where my car was. He was saying he needed to speak to clickmechanic about other work I needed on my car ? It’s only when I threatened them with the Motor Ombudsman they returned my car today I will never ever use this company again. If my car needs a repair I’ll go to a garage”

“Their website states "We hear it all the time. Stories of rogue traders and cowboy mechanics. However, when you use ClickMechanic you don't have to worry about a thing". Do not believe a word of it - in my view they are the biggest bunch of cowboys out there. I booked a pre-purchase inspection through ClickMechanic and on the basis of the report, bought the car. It very quickly became apparent that the discs & pads (which had been reported as "Excellent") in fact needed replacing. The rear tyres (also reported as "Excellent") were actually on the legal limit. So, I am faced with a bill of in excess of £1,000 to fix issues that should have been identified in the report. As others have expressed in their reviews, Customer Service is a totally alien concept to this company. Their Resolution Centre is a farce - they have no interest in reaching a fair resolution, the process is very much biased in favour of their mechanics. After protracted email conversations, my case was closed without my agreement - not exactly customer service best practice! You will find many good reviews out there - that's easy if everything goes to plan. However, a company's response when things go wrong is far more revealing. Most people will accept that things go wrong from time to time, but in ClickMechanics case, they have absolutely no interest in fairly resolving the issue. Whilst they claim to offer 12 months parts and labour warranty for and physical work undertaken (reviews here cast doubt on how effective that is!), there is no such protection for pre purchase inspections. They hide behind the disclaimers in their T's & C's and just say 'nothing to do with us, go sort this out with the mechanic'. A very frustrating and very expensive experience. I will not be using them again and would urge others not to either.”

“Don’t use these people!!! I am self employed and have a van with a faulty clutch supplied and fitted by a click mechanic. The mechanic is good but has a serious problem with one of his family. Click mechanic say the mechanic who fitted the part must be the person who rectifies the problem. So here I am with a van with a slipping clutch which I must use everyday to go to work in. Not an ideal situation and all click mechanic will do is say they will contact the mechanic and its up to them to fix it. Very poor customer service! Also, when you try to contact them using the correct option on the phone there is a recorded message saying this option is unavailable please use email. Not a great solution when you need answers.”

“Appalling, the car was picked up late, and returned by the mechanic NINE AND A HALF HOURS later. The job was supposed to take 3-4 hours. no discount for the excessive delay was offered. The car came back with numerous faults that were not present when the car was booked in, some of which could have easily caused a fatal crash on departure from Merthyr Tydfil home to surrey. Chris the mechanic has lied openly throughout this process and put lives in danger. To make matters worse clickmechanic refuse to help in any meaningful way despite giving them full details of the problems i've had with the car and with the mechanic providing false details on the receipt provided. I would avoid clickmechanic at all costs, a simple clutch replacement that was £255 turned into over £600 worth of damages to a rover 25 which was otherwise in good condition prior to the mechanic getting his hands on it.”
