I love our Comfortbilt pellet stove, but it is a DIY repair. So if you are not handy, you may want a local purchase. however, the people at Comfortbilt are very helpful and the parts are much less expensive than our PelPro stove. Comfortbilt also is much cleaner than the pelpro and needs a LOT less cleaning. We have the model with the 3 windows. It is nice to watch the fire, but it is a little noisy when we are watching t.v. Overall, I'd recommend Comfortbilt, but next time, we will buy local so we have someone to repair it. The comfortbilt has only had to be repaired a few times in the years we've had it. The pelpro needed repairs every year. The service was wonderful. They would email me back quickly with videos or instructions. I had to describe the problem and they would give me solutions to try. They were patient with me.

If you are going to make upgraded parts that need other items to work you should include them but least say so in the description instead of letting someone find out once it's too late and the stove is down

Comfortbilt has to be one of the best companies I’ve ever dealt with. I got on an online chat to order a new burn pot for my pellet stove, the person I talk to was knowledgeable. He placed my order and I received it within five days. That’s from North Carolina to New Mexico in the mail!

My HP50 is about six months old. At about one month in I had to replace the motherboard and display because of a "LOST CONNECTION" error message which caused the stove to stop feeding pellets. After that it sat idle for a very warm summer. i recently started to use the stove again in the Fall, but after a short term of service it returned a smoke alert and stopped feeding again. I contacted the chat line and they suggested I view the auger video which concluded in me being sent a replacement auger motor. i installed the replacement auger motor but the stove still will not feed. I tried to email tech suppot with email which has a two day turnaround for response. I ended up having to recount the history of the stove and the subsequent failure of the replacement auger motor at which point the tech suggested that the motherboard may be the problem and inquired the age of the stove. My reply and follow up email the following week remain unanswered. The stove is inoperable for about a month now as I approach its first full heating season. Online chat with which I had the only success has been ofline and keeps extending thier hiatus. I am very disappointed with my experience with Comfortbilt and I am seriosly considering purchasing a different stove. It will not be a Comfortbilt. David W Marshall

I had my comfortably pellet stove now for my second winter it's a HP40 I run it on temp eco mode and have not had a problem yet with anything even the igniter. I bought a stand by one for back up( the new gen 3).I have a 1788 square foot home and this little unit heats the whole house with no trouble. I live in the Pacific Northwest where it can get right down cold. I would recommend the comfortbilt to anyone. Uni
