Went to their Stafford store to buy a washing machine and a fridge freezer yesterday. The lad on the shop floor, Steve, was really helpful but then had to refer me to someone in their ‘Know How’ section. The guy with the weird hair treats customers with contempt and does everything he can to get them out the door as quickly as possible. He is not interested providing a service or apparently achieving sales targets for his employers. Do Currys not realise there is still competition out there and customer service is important? I’ve now bought both items through Tesco Direct and service has been great. Currys, your loss!

my tablet was broken, so I wanted to return it to the store in DURHAM where it was purchased. Unfortunately, the genius - CURRYS technician said that the tablet is damaged and will not accept it for repair, even though it was on the standard warranty. He said I can fix it at the third party repair shop. I sent the ACER tablet to THE ACER service, after a few days they sent me a repaired tablet with a new motherboard. Thanks to CURRYS idiots I know now that I will never buy there. They will end up like COMET. I recommend ACER - great service.

Ordered a kettle 3 weeks before Christmas - waited a week past its expected delivery date to contact them & they informed me that the kettle was out of stock, had no e-mailed me to inform me of this and told me my refund would take 3-5 working days (past Christmas) to arrive in my bank. Not to mention I waited an hour on hold. Shocking service. WILL NEVER BUY FROM THERE AGAIN.

Tall fridge and freezer both delivered damaged. Refused to accept them, delivery guy said he would reorder them to be delivered on the following Sunday. We hadn't heard anything by Thursday so I phoned, after holding for almost 30 mins I finally go through to be told the order was cancelled but a new one hadn't been raised. I asked for a refund and was put through to another dept. to be on hold for over 40 mins, I then had to hang up because I was expecting visitors. I then had to go to the store to get my refund. So after 2 weeks I was still without my appliances. On a positive note I did get my money back without any hassle at the store. Oh and the phone call for 70 mins cost me £8.

ATROCIOUS LACK OF SERVICE FROM CURRIES PCWORLD £120 PAID FOR A PRINTER AND A BOX OF HINGES SUPPLIED ! On 1st December 2017 I ordered a Brother printer from Curries Pc World online as my local branch (Park Gate, Southampton) was out of stock. The next day I collected a box, only to discover on getting home that it contained steel hinges!! On my instant return to the store I found the staff were completely unhelpful. They had no hotline and when I eventually managed to track the manager, had a further 45min wait before their customer service team answered his telephone call! Apparently at the DPD office in Birmingham, two labels had been applied to the wrong box, while my printer had disappeared! I was told however that I could not have a refund despite returing the box I had been given, and I would have to wait for up to 14 days while they tried to trace the missing printer, so I had a £ 120 debit to my account for nothing apart from hassle, not any apology from anyone and a downright refusal to return my money. Over the next 2 weeks I sent several emails and spent an additional 2 hours waiting for anyone to answer my calls. I still have received no refund after 19 days. My £120 has effectively been stolen ! I will have to take legal action to try and recover it. In future, Amazon will be my first choice and I will never order from Curries PC World again!

Online order easy. Delivery was easy to track, and the delivery driver rang, to give me a time of arrival. They carried the product into my garage, unpacked it for me, and took away the packaging

I was buying a gaming chair for my grandson for Christmas. He told me that they were reduced for Black Friday from £199.95 to £139.95. I don’t usually bother with Black Friday deals, but thought this was a great offer. I bought it and assembled it to make sure it was all there, and put it away until Christmas. A few days later my grandson told me that it was now reduced to £89.95! I was so annoyed and emailed Currys who replied a week later with the excuse that it had acted within the government law. I rang Currys yesterday but this was unsatisfactory as they just suggested returning it for a full refund but as I had assembled it I didn’t want to do this. Then if I couldn’t get another one I would not have a gift for my grandson. It seems to me that the price of £199.95 was grossly incorrect to then make it look a good deal for Black Friday! As a pensioner £50 to me is a lot of money, and I could have bought him an extra present. How can something that was allegedly that expensive then be reduced by £110.00!!!! I feel cheated by a company that I have dealt with for years. It will be a long time before I use them again.

Too much to mention but please trust me do not buy any white goods from curryspcworld online if there is a fault the returns procedure is a nightmare. I spent three weeks without an oven before they collected the faulty one, after first sending an engineer out too verify the fault. The oven was faulty from delivery. They have had the oven returned now for a week and i am still not refunded. Phoning customer services is another nightmare waiting for ever for them too answer. Please shop else were.

DO NOT BUY ONLINE FROM THIS SHAMBOLIC COMPANY. I ordered a laptop online for collection in store well in time for Christmas. It was due to arrive on 14 December. It has not. It is now 17 December. I tried twice to get through to their customer services team to chase it, holding on for half an hour each time, with no reply and no indication on the irritating recorded message of how long the wait would be. I emailed them, only to receive a standard reply saying they’d respond in 5 days. I went to the store. They have these computers in stock but refused to either refund my money (£600) or give me a computer. They kept saying ‘procedure’ prevented it and that the online and retail stores were entirely separate ( not to customers they aren’t). The staff called customer services ( I had to hang around for an hour waiting for them to do this) and were told the computer had been lost in transit. At no point had anyone from the company thought to query why the delivery had not arrived; if I had not chased it nothing would have been done. Despite this I was to be given no refund or computer unless I called them myself to tell them what the staff had already told them ( ie, that I want a computer or a refund). I was told the likely wait on the phone would be between 45 mins and an hour and a half. I am expected to hang on for this time period to talk to them, then wait seven to 10 days for a refund. I can’t afford to buy my son another Christmas present, meanwhile. All this despite their website trumpeting the festive season and how we should buy gifts from them, and giving dishonest delivery dates. Their administrative procedures and customer services are wholly unacceptable

Having ordered a psvr starter pack on the 24th of the November 2017 witch none were in stock so had to order having told be ready in 2weeks time so after 2weeks I hear nothing so I go to curry's to see if my purchase was there, they tell me no one had even ordered my purchase so they reordered the psvr for me and that I would get a phone call when it was in, I get a phone call on the 17th of Dec 2017 saying they have my games so I come in hoping they have it all together ready to take away yet to be told they don't have everything and that I will receive my purchase on the 23rd of December 2017 witch is a very inconvenience to me as that's the day I will be celebrating Christmas with my children as they don't unfortunately live with me and all curry's could say to me well we can reorder a new one if you cancel your order so I would lose out on the offer and have to pay more but why should I have to do that for there mistake! Thanks very much curry's for trying to help! More then disappointed

Ordered a fridge on Wednesday 13th to be delivered on the Saturday 16th between 1-5 paid extra £19 for delivery time slot. Has not arrived received a voicemail at 6:10pm saying could not make delivery due to driver going over taco Li Utd and I need to contact Curry’s to reschedule. So far been on hold 21 minutes at 5 pence minute. Terrible service, I would not recommend and if I could give no stars it would be better on this review

Ordered a new oven from Curry’s. Booked a day off works so the oven could be delivered. I never arrived. I was given a new date. Again, I booked the day off and again, the oven was not delivered. After one hour in the phone we were told it’s out of stock. I eventually went to my local curry’s and cancelled the order. I was offered an inscincere apology, but no explanation, compensation or gesture to acknowledge two wasted days off. I will never buy an item from curry’s in the future.
