It was a long process to return as originally the seller didnt want me to return, opened a claim and FINALLY they said yes. but now it cost me $83 to return and they promised id be refunded back. took ages of me emailing and then they gave me credit for 83 claiming they cant refund. WTH they lied. And now to top it off the credit doesn't work and they say i have to send all these emails to different addresses to get it. honestly avoid this place at all costs”
“Seriously, listen to all the other reviews. DH Gate operate from China. They don't operate under UK law and don't need to. They're policies are designed to help Chinese sellers scam westerners. You will be scammed if you use them and they will do nothing about it. Even when there is evidence, they will ignore it and allow the scammer to keep on selling. I reported them to trading standards but as they're Chinese, there's nothing they can do. It's a huge scam, avoid it!”
“Do not buy from this website you will regret it! I purchased basketball shoes from "themaxshoes" store which sells basketball shoes on DH gate. When I received them I was shocked as they were imitation so I immediately requested a refund.
The seller was a nightmare to deal with, they would not provide me with a returns postage label for me to post the shoes back to them and also would not provide a refund until they received the shoes.
They agreed I pay the postage cost and they will refund me, so I paid $33.10 to ship them back to China. Then once they received the shoes they refunded me the shoe cost and closed my order on DH gate as resolved. They changed their mind advising the seller pays the shipment cost!!! I tried to raise another dispute with DH gate but as the order was closed could not. Very dodgy and will not purchase another item from this website!! Order no. 3125049517”

“Ordered a “kids” T-shirt. When it arrived it was like a dress on my 8 year old! When I messaged the company they told me they only sell adult sizes??? My order description clearly says the words “kids t-shirt” in it and the sizing chart they sent me in follow up to my message was different to the one when I ordered. Disappointed - won’t use DHGate again - sizing is always a problem when ordering online I guess. Best to support our local stores and try on before you buy. Leave the rubbishy online stuff in China!”
“I didn’t even want to give DHGATE one star but I had to select at least one star in order to post my review! This place is a scam! DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING from this company! I was ensured that a dress that I ordered would me here by July 4th BEFORE I ordered my dress! Promotionspace (a DHGATE seller who has a 6th year Recommended Supplier with 6453 Transactions and 99% Positive Feedback posted on the DHGATE website...HOW THEY EARNED A SCORE OF 99% IS BEYOND ME AND SHOULD BE CONSIDERED FALSE ADVERTISEMENT) ensured me that I would receive my dress on or before the July 4th. It is presently July 13th and I still haven’t received my dress!
After placing my order, I continued to message them asking for updates. Most of my messages were ignored. The few messages that they finally did respond to, they still continued to give false promises. I’m now convinced, IF I ever do receive the dress that I ordered, it probably won’t even look anything like the picture online either!
Do yourself a favor and order from a legitimate honorable company... even if you have to pay more money... it’ll be worth it! Because order ordering from DHGATE will be the worst mistake that you can make if you’re ordering that special dress for your wedding, prom, homecoming etc.”
“My seller didn't have stock. Customer service asked me to request a refund which I did. Then I got a message from the seller asking me to change my refund reason from "no stock" to "changed my mind" because otherwise he would "get in trouble" with the platform and when I didn't, the seller rejected my refund request(even though he still had no stock). Customer service is pretty much non-existent. A supervisor (?!?!?) called Sid told me I "should have listened to the seller. It was interesting how Sid did not send me the customary "how did I do" feedback link. I guess Sid too was worried that he may "get in trouble" for the customer service he so failed to provide.

They immediatelly send me a new handle part which I waited for a month and it was broken. The seller agreed to send the machine back to them in order to get a refund. I paid shipping cost 90 euro and he claimes that I did something (without giving details of information) wrong and that the parcel is stuck on clearance office in Shanghai. The DHgate team informed that he probably has been requested to pay clearance fees. He has stopped the communication and not repsonding to my messages nor to DHgate team. Beware it's a scam”

I note this to DHGATE and the seller, and what does DHGATE do? After the seller asks me to send everything back to China at my expense (30 euros) to get a refund. What I didn't do but I reported to the site. From my money to the salesman who set me up for the holidays, Watch already thrown away, I had to spend with the watchmaker 50euro and it wasn't worth it I preferred to lose only once.
