A engineer came out to fix my fridge he ordered the new part and told me it would be a week to get new part.Its been a week no contact from them so I phoned and they said we don't have estimated date for part coming in.Im left with a fridge not working and nearest supermarket 12 miles away I am throwing out food on a daily basis.These ploicies are not worth the paper they are writing on shoddy service but they are happy enough to have taken the money.

Sent my mobile phone off for repair and they returned an older mobile phone, even though i paid the excess of £75. I asked for the original phone to be returned but they abruptly told me it had been lost. Now i have an old phone worth £80 and i am still paying for the new phone they had lost. Ombudsman contacted awaiting result now.

They sell appliance plans with no intention to follow through with repair services if they are needed. I tried to set up a repair and was told they have no technician for my area, they should have told me that when i purchased the plans. To me me, that is fraud. I would not recommend buying a plan from them

I had been with D & G for over 12 years because of boiler.... cancelled last year but they did not and kept taking the money. not a happy 80 years. now trying to get money back but hope I live long enough

Awful I paid insurance on beko tumble dryer since 2015 at £14 something a month. I was sold insurance as if it breaks we repair if we can't repair we will replace. Now I want a repair and they have just cancelled my policy due to internal rust. Why not have a time limit on the policy if they won't honor it due to rust. I could of saved my money and bought a new one every year. Shameful service !

I have called numerous times, asked for a supervisor. Was told they would call me by evening, that was 2 times. No call back. I have been without a washer for 8 weeks!!! If I could give them negative marks I would!!!

Extremely poor and unable to fix a fridge with a temp at +15 they said that's the correct spec for it.

We are disabled pensioners aged 70+ & 65+. We took a policy along with others . The curved T V has now been wrote off with an engineer. D& G never phoned to inform us. They now say: your TV is no longer available which cost us 5 years ago £1645-00 They now want us to accept a 55inch square TV costing £465-00 pound. They tell me they do not replace the TV on cost but on spec. Bloody disgusting. I argued with them . Now they have referred my case to a complaint department within there organization. Any advice. 10/7/22

I called for a washing machine repair online, easy system. They messaged me back next morning as i logged the repair at night. Engineer was booked, he replaced the part and 5 minutes later he was gone... very quick and satisfying service, it was my first time calling them out...i was happy.

The worst experience I have had when dealing with a service provider, everybody tells you something different - the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing - meanwhile my boiler is still not fixed

How can Whirlpool associate their name with such a scam of a company? Whirlpool forced me to sign up with D&G to get the help I need. What follows was weeks of promises, all of which were not met. Every phone call they would tell me what "I wanted to hear", but nothing EVER happened. They changed their stated policy to me every call. I would normally stay and fight such wrong doing. I have done so in other situations and won, but this company is the lowest of the low and my mental health is worth more than dealing with them any more.

I am very happy with this company. I have peace of mind knowing that if my appliances break down they well try to fix them. If the appliance can’t be fixed then you we’ll get a replacement I can personally testify to that. I would recommend domestic and general to everyone.

Totally rubbish tomorrow Wednesday 15,6,22 is my third week with a hot point fridge freezer these clowns have come out 2 times already now its the third time still problem not solved finger's crossed Wednesday time will tell

Appalling service from D&G. I took out the policy last year and had a letter from Bali this year telling me my annual service was due. On telephoning Bali was told that they didn’t cover my area and I should never been sold the policy. After contacting D&G several times, of which 1 Customer service person who was extremely rude and aggressive over the phone told me I couldn’t speak to a supervisor as he was working from home, he then just put me on hold and disappeared never came back. I called again and spoke to another person who registered my complaint, seems they don’t log your dissatisfaction unless you specifically say it is a complaint. Anyway I was told my complaint was logged and someone would contact me within a week. Needless to say this didn’t/hasn’t happened. So I contacted again today to cancel my policies. Apparently I should be contacted within the next 3 working days, I won’t hold my breath. Very quick to sell policies regardless of whether they can actually do the work or have any company who could. Very quick to take your money, not very quick at providing the service you have been paying for and from what I have read on line on there complaint procedures it could potentially take anything from 8 weeks to 6 months to get an “offer”, not my money refunded. I am absolutely disgusted with this company, it’s non service and non existing customer service. Will defer judgement on refund policy but it’s not looking good so preparing email to Ombudsman and TV programmes.

Awful awful customer service. I have spent 4 hours on the phone over 2 weeks trying to get my Hoover washing machine fixed. Keep getting put on to different people. Asked for a supervisor was rudely cut iff. Foreign call centres. only awaiting a spring Told me it was escalated no one has rang back as promised I would go to other service providers

I had to go into hospital and unfortunately after years of paying DG the payment failed. DG explained when I wanted to renew the policy they no longer cover TVs. After paying them hundreds over the years this is very convenient for this scam organisation and I do not recommend them. They want your money but will take the first opportunity to cancel the policy with no refund which goes in their favour, this explains how they make their money. If you want an alternative try Smart Cover.com, they don't have the same problem and disregard for their customers like Domestic and General.

got conned into a manufacturer warranty with my new boiler, only be covered if I had a annual service every year boiler service/repair contract, including an annual service, these clowns D&G thought it was great idea to send someone off their own back to do a annual service on my boiler that was 3 weeks old, come the following year BAXI would not do the annual cover on boiler , even though I still pay for a cover & manufacturer cover , D&G and also BAXI will not do my 2nd year annual service , saying it not covered to do a annual service, so why was i paying cover for then if it dont include a annual service, phone calls after phone call between the two of them to be told B******* , time after time , don't waste your time with these people go elsewhere. had a slight problem with my boiler that was flashing a error code & the baxi guy, tried to condemn my brand new boiler only after 10 months of having it installed , till I told him, oh , it's still under manufacturer warranty's, so replace it then , oh it ok now it's not a major problem now

Our Beko washer dryer broke down in the middle of a wash, trapping our (wet) clothes inside. Despite D&G knowing that we have two unwell children (a 1 and 3 year old), they have been quite unhelpful so far. Basically after the machine broke, my wife rang Domestic And General to book a repair, but the call handlers kept transferring her call straight to Beko - even though it was out of warranty with Beko (that's why we had a D&G plan, after all!) Beko kept saying they couldn't help, and we kept going back to D&G. Eventually the call handler gave us a manual reference number (along with also speaking to Beko on our behalf). At one point, we had an incoming call which the call handler told us to accept. The incoming call turned out to be an automated survey, so we hung up and went back to the call with D&G - only to find out that the D&G call handler had immediately hung up the other end. They made no effort to ring us back. Later that day, we had a call from a Beko engineer saying that the repair had been "partially booked in" and he could attend in the morning, which was positive at least. We assumed that D&G had gone ahead and booked in the repair anyway. He attended, but couldn't repair the machine. He said he didn't know what was wrong with it, and would have to order some parts. He couldn't say if those parts would fix the machine, nor how long it would take to come back. As a result, we rang D&G and explained that we have no working washing machine and two young, unwell children. The first woman I spoke to didn't really seem interested, and just transferred my call to a third part company. The phone line kept saying "we don't recognise your plan" over and over. I rang D&G back, and spoke to someone who was a bit more helpful. She understood that our washing machine doesn't work, that we had two young children, and ideally we'd like a replacement machine (or a fix ASAP). She did, however, say that D&G had no record of our repair - even though they arranged it the day before! She said that she logged a complaint for us, giving us a complaint reference, and assured us that someone would call us back in "24-48 hours". It has now been 96 hours (i.e. 4 days later), and we still have not had a reply - despite D&G knowing we have no washing machine, and two unwell children. I have tried chasing D&G twice via their website, but not heard back from these attempts either. We have a few plans with D&G, and right now I don't see any point in them. Their staff seem to just transfer your calls to random third party companies who refuse to help, and D&G don't reply to complaints in the time frame they promise.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL SERVICE - AVOID- DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY I have paid Domestic and General for their service for over a year and I haven't had a working dishwasher for nearly two months, don't waste your money on Domestic and General, they just forward your call on to different providers who don't understand why you're ringing them as they don't cover the appliance in question. I eventually got through to reference point to book a third visit and the waiting time is more than two weeks for each visit. I regret paying their protection policy and would recommend avoiding this- it is just throwing away money with no return
