The driver assigned to my order tampered with my food—breaking the seal, stealing food, and attempting to reseal the bag with the ripped pieces. This is a major trust issue, as it’s clear someone interfered with my meal. The space where the ice cream should have been was wet and torn, making it obvious the restaurant included the item but it was removed. To make matters worse, the driver left a photo of the delivery at my door, showing the poorly re-taped seals, further proving the tampering. This is incredibly concerning, as it suggests they could have also tampered with the food itself. When I contacted the driver, they deflected and told me to reach out to support. I pointed out the evidence, but they didn’t respond. I then reached out to DoorDash (DD) support, but the initial response was dismissive, offering only a partial refund. After pushing for a resolution, I managed to get on a call with their support team. However, this team appeared to be contracted virtual assistants (likely overseas), with limited authority to resolve serious issues. Their English was difficult to understand, and it felt like a struggle to communicate effectively. While I have no issue with contracted work, if DoorDash is offering phone support to U.S. customers, it needs to be clear and effective. The lack of understanding and authority made the situation even more frustrating. Ultimately, the support team removed the tip but couldn’t reassure me that the same driver wouldn’t deliver to me again. This is deeply troubling, as I live in a small town, and now the driver—who broke into my food and knows I reported them—might still deliver future orders. What’s stopping them from retaliating or doing something worse next time? The compensation offered was minimal, especially considering the severity of the issue. I couldn’t even eat my meal that night, knowing the driver might have tampered with it further. This is about more than just stolen food—it’s about safety, trust, and the integrity of the service. Drivers who steal are likely the same ones who would tamper with food, and this should be treated as a serious concern. When I asked to speak with a W-2 DoorDash representative rather than a third-party contractor, I was denied. The contracted reps and even the supervisors seemed uninterested in truly resolving the issue or protecting the brand’s reputation. It was clear they were following scripts and didn’t care about my experience. As someone who has spent thousands of dollars on DoorDash annually—both personally and for my team as part of my role as a department director—I expected better. I’ve overlooked small issues like late deliveries, missing items, or incorrect drop-offs because I understand the challenges, having been a delivery driver myself. But when it’s clear that someone stole from me and tampered with my food, that’s a line that can’t be crossed. DoorDash needs a robust escalation protocol for cases like this. It’s alarming that a service built entirely on trust takes such incidents so lightly. As of today, I’m done with DoorDash, and I urge others to reconsider using their platform. They’ve shown they don’t prioritize customer safety or satisfaction. Hopefully, this feedback reaches someone within DoorDash who actually cares about their brand and customer trust, instead of being buried in a system run by third-party contractors who are disconnected from their customers.

DoorDash is an absolutely scam! They charge you for dash pass after you’ve cancelled it and they charged me 96 I would never paid anything of that amount at once to them. They also don’t fix any issues with your food after you let them know twice you’ve had a issue mind you they is a lot of issues with these restaurants things are missing or sometimes your food doesn’t get delivered. Their customer service is somewhere in India sucks

It’s been over a year since I’ve gotten a correct order. DoorDash doesn’t hold their delivery people to any standard and they take no responsibility. Any company where you can’t talk to a real person easily is obviously a horrible company. At least uber eats has standards

Incompetent driver dropped multiple bags of groceries behind a locked gate on the wrong property - more than 1/4 mile away from the intended destination. Didn't bother contacting me, but received a nice tip that was built-in to the order. Will never use again.

Door Dash won’t hire me with a driving record from 3 years ago and yet the people that deliver my food from door dash will either I steal it, give wrong orders, spit in food, smash food, and deliver to the back of the property so you have to walk instead of the front like any normal person.

Horrible customer service . I am a merchant and this company does not need to operate. It doesn’t follow up on the merchants . I have been without a tablet for almost 2 weeks now when there system went down . Keep talking to customer service wirh no turn out . Horrible business ethics .

these mfkers have went down in service.. they take your money and you may be lucky if u get what u ordered.. especially when it comes to drinks, 2 liters, .. my drinks have been missing the last 3 out of 6 orders a nd when i have tried to get a credit or refund i am denied.. the lesson i've learned is get your lazy ass off the couch and go get your own food.. its cheaper and you can dictate the out come way better than dealing with their so called customer service !

They will steal your money and even when you prove their charges were fraudulent, they won’t refund. I was charged dash pass and never subscribed. First they told me I didn’t have an account under the email I have. Once I proved my email then they said you have not been charged. Once I proved charges on my account they gave me a run around that it was not charged. I spoke to 4 different people and got the same scripted responses with never getting a refund. I had to report it to my bank, get new card and reported it to Attorney Generals office for fraud. If you want your money stolen, they are the company to do it over and over.

I did not receive my correct order, and they stated that they would respond but did not. There was no refund offered, and it was a gift card I received for Christmas. This was the worst service. I will never order from them again.,

I'm extremely frustrated with DoorDash. A checkout issue led to a payment method problem, which customer service couldn't resolve. Deleting my account was a hassle, and I still haven't received confirmation. My biggest concern is removing my payment method, which I don't feel secure about. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Canceled my dash pass today! Nothing but issues everytime I use door dash. If my food is wrong and I ordered from you, then you assume responsibility when the order is incorrect! Supplied pictures of my order that was completely wrong and cold ( who what's cold fish?) And for my $20 plus tip order I was refunded $3. This service is horrible and the people driving for them are ignorant, irresponsible, and illiterate!

Doordash has constantly been going downhill for so long now. fees have gotten ridiculous, orders are CONSISTENTLY wrong, and their new gimmick seems to be ignoring LOCAL locations so they can charge more to deliver cold food from a further location. Locations that I KNOW are open mysteriously are unavailable, then distance fees get tacked on. Not to mention their "small order" fee where you have to buy unnecessary items because the price is the same either way! waiting on my final order using up the last of my "screwed up order" credits (because of course, cash back was not an option) and then I am DONE with doordash.

This app will stop you from making a certain amount of money . Let’s say you get 2 orders in 1 hour and the total you made is 51$ . For the next 2 hours they will send you nothing but 3-4$ orders so that way they dont over pY you even though there is opportunity for higher orders . Door dash is a scam good for about 100$ a day depending where you are z

We ordered thru doordash for delivery yet we never received our food,yet we were charged $98.00 for food we did not receive. I called doordash and asked them specifically why they charged us and was told the order was take out. I ask the customer service person why would we call them for take out? If it was take out i would just call the restaurant. Doordash denied us our money back for food we never received. I know another word for this its called stealing. They decieved us stole our money. I advise anybody using doordash to be careful of their unethical practices. Be very cautious of the doordash company, They are deceitful,thieves and have no reservations on tricking you out of your money.

Poor service ordered door dash and got the wrong order. They ask for pictures sent those then called said against their policy to refund the money.
