UPDATE I've posted my previous review below and I think it's only fair I provide an update. After the mishap Friday, I went online and upgraded my delivery to Saturday (£5 charge). My neighbour (see previous review) then rescheduled delivery for Monday - meaning I wasted £5 (not DPD's fault). However, the lady I spoke to on the app chat kindly agreed to REFUND me. I also asked her whether it's possible to 'use' the £5 I have already paid and upgrade my delivery to Sunday instead of refunding me. She said my parcel is LOCKED AWAY and they're unable to do this (OK, fair enough). BUT, on the website I still had the option to reschedule for Sunday. Fast forward to Sunday, I decided to upgrade my delivery to be delivered before noon Monday. My parcel arrived on time. Although, I did have to stand outside and wait for him. And he had the audacity to say, 'you weren't in Friday...'. PREVIOUS REVIEW Terrible. As others have mentioned, it's almost impossible to get in contact with them. Partner was on hold for over 40 minutes. I even tried to contact them on Twitter to no avail. Delivery driver attempted to deliver to the wrong address (neighbours were not in). He took a photo of the door which is clearly the wrong flat (I live at 1B, he delivered to 1A). It's actually more difficult to locate 1A - many times we've had people knock asking where A is. The first flat you see is B, so why/how on earth he managed to bypass my flat and locate A is a mystery in itself.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have had so many bad experiences with this company that I almost want to make it my life’s work to make sure no one else uses them. Bought an item and opted for Saturday delivery via DPD. The item was a present needed for Monday so I paid the extra courier charge. DPD have an app which lets you track the parcel. App showed that the package had been received by DPD and then it vanished! Given that the parcel was last in DPD’s hands, I’d have expected them to be able to find out where the parcel had gotten to. Nope. DPD’s solution was to palm the problem off on me to resolve with the seller. I made the point that it made no sense for me to tell the seller to tell DPD to look for the parcel. I was told computer says no. UPDATE 1: I posted this review on another site and was contacted by 'Tom' in their social media team asking me to email their team. I have done so. I will be gobsmacked if I get my package today and pretty surprised if I get a half useful reply (which, according to the auto reply, is due in the next 90 minutes). UPDATE 2: As expected, no reply within 90 minutes. Absolutely useless. Their customer service closes in 30 minutes - let’s see if Tom gets back to me? UPDATE 3: Email received from Tom. He "will do [his] utmost to get this situation sorted for [me] asap." Fingers crossed but, as before, I'll be amazed if I get my parcel today. UPDATE 4: Tom couldn’t even find the package number. I’m told this will be felt with as a ‘matter of urgency’ Tomorrow morning. What’s the betting on it being lost? UPDATE 5: On Sunday I was told (nay, guaranteed) that my package would be here on Monday. It is Monday - I have now been told that DPD have significant delays and will do their best to get it out today). I am considering applying to be a DPD driver, working my way up through the ranks and delivering my package myself to save time. UPDATE 6: I was promised that the package would arrive after 6:30pm on Monday so left work early. Despite their customer services team confirming that the driver was on route, no delivery. It’s now Tuesday and have no idea where my package is or when it will be delivered. Baffled. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Paid for an upgrade to have my parcel delivered on a Sunday so I could be there. Parcel never even left the depot. Turns out DPD dont deliver to my postcode on a Sunday yet they took the payment.

Driver refused to take package to our first floor flat, choosing to run away when asked for help by my nine month pregnant wife. Left the package on the path outside. Couldn't have been more unhelpful if he'd have tried.

Believe most people only rate a company when they have an issue, speak as I find however and DPD were tip top. Speedy delivery and kept updated with their tracking system. Very impressed with the service. Many thanks.

Driver delivered to wrong address but they weren't in. There is a door number plate on neighbours wall clearly stating the WRONG number. Text to say I'm not in when I am sat there waiting for the parcel. Driver then came back to deliver the package to my 91 year old mothers house without warning (she is vulnerable and I had explained this when I finally got thru to a human to talk to on the phone at DPD Birmingham) The DPD robot number has cost me an £11:50 bill to communicate with 2 robots and now DPD are refusing to take my complaint seriously. They have now sent me a link to make a claim for my money back in the small claims court!!! I have emailed their CEO as their tactics are disgusting.

Absolutely awful service. They rescheduled my delivery time after it had been booked in for today to Monday 2nd, which is wholly unacceptable to me as I am at work so I am struggling to try and find a time when I can reschedule the delivery now. What is made worse is that there was no correspondence to ask whether this was okay, or update me, or inform me of the reason for this change. I just received a text at 11am informing me that it had been updated 'as requested' - which is just insulting as I did nothing of the sort. In addition to that it took several phone calls and nearly 45 minutes on hold to get through to a member of the team. I was told that my order could not be sent out, nor could I go to collect it from the depot as it was 'locked in a lorry the depot didn't have access to' which I find rather ridiculous in and of itself. Will be avoiding companies that use DPD as a delivery service in the future as I have no faith in their ability to deliver items on time, even when I impressed how crucial the delivery for today was. *UPDATE - 01/10/2017 - Despite being informed by email and also directly on the phone that my delivery would *definitely* be with my today, it has AGAIN not turned up and it seems that nothing was even done about getting it sent out. The service offered by DPD is quite frankly appalling and I have been told that it cannot be sent out today, nor can I go to the Depot to collect it despite it being offered as a possible solution when I rang to complain yesterday. There seems to be an enormous disconnect between what various members of staff tell you, and I was even disconnected mid-call the second time I tried to call today to find out what was happening with my order. Disgraceful, and I shan't be using any company that uses DPD as their delivery courier in the future.

First delivery attempt was 4 hours late after the end of the allocated slot, which failed as I gave up waiting for 3 hours and went back to work. Second attempt following day I watched the road from the window the entire time, no one came but the tracking said ‘delivery refused’. I called customer services who tried to contact the driver but his phone was turned off (useful). Arranged to collect from the depot (Southall) three days later and told the parcel was lost and in one of the 10 lorries parked outside, and would take hours to find. They said the parcel wasn’t scanned by the night staff, but they would find it and deliver it the following day. Livid at this point, especially having lost a whole day unpaid leave from work and having zero confidence in them doing their job, I told them to return to sender and I'll cancel the order. The parcel was a present from my girlfriend’s birthday, which has been and gone. Never using these idiots again. Drivers name was Fadi.

An extraordinary level of incompetence! Day 1: The DPD driver couldn't find my address. Really? Why therefore not ring me? Parcel returned to the Stoke-on-Trent depot. Day 2: I ring an 0121 275 0500 and speak to someone who phones Stoke and then confirms the parcel is being held there. I receive an email confirming and that they are expecting me at Stoke around noon. I drive 25 miles to Stoke, only to be told that they can't find my parcel!!! Excuses are offered . . . "It might be out for delivery" . . . I doubt that very much . . . Tracking etc confirms it's in their depot somewhere. I drive 25 miles back home, empty handed. It might hopefully turn up on day 3, or 4, or 5 . . . .

I received a message telling me a parcel could not be delivered as no one was in. This is rubbish, I've been waiting ALL DAY for the package. I suspect the driver simply decided not to deliver any more parcels tonight (it's now 9:13pm). Besides this, the package is likely to be small enough to go through the letterbox, it's a tiny cable! The message also said the driver left calling card, but no card was left, so compounding laziness with blatant lies. I live in a country estate and am always aware if any vehicles enter or leave the estate. Either the driver is lost, or just wants to get home for supper. I'd guess the latter. I ordered using Amazon Prime to be assured next day delivery. The parcel was in the next city at 1pm today (30 minutes away), and that's obviously not early enough to get a parcel to me by 10PM. DPD is the very weak link in this chain.

Wish I could give a zero star. Totally horrendous and irresponsible. Spent the whole afternoon waiting for my parcel and then was told that the delivery failed because there was no one in. Obviously they sent the parcel to a wrong address. Tried to reach them but there was no customer service at all. They really shouldn't be in the business. Avoid at all costs!!!

Like other reviewers have said, I wish there was a 0 star option. This is by far not just the worst delivery company out there but I would go as far to say the worse company out there! They have absolutely NO customer service. There is no phone number to call up and speak to someone - what company does that? All of their phone numbers are automated systems that require your parcel number - and when you enter it in the automated system just gives you a recording that the parcel was unable to be delivered. No option to speak to someone. Their email form for "Make It Right!" promises a response within 90 minutes - that's clearly a lie as I emailed them yesterday at 3:20 and I still haven't heard back from them the next day. I had a delivery slot between 3:00 and 4:00pm. I took day off work to accept parcel. I live by a school so the school rush was beginning when the drive arrived opposite my house at 3:06. I grabbed by shoes and was on my way out of the door to speak to the driver and tell him he could park on my drive when he drove off! I thought he might have been turning round. Nope! He just drove off! I then got a text on my phone saying no one was in whilst standing in from of my house watching the drive drive off. There was a blurry faked image of what was supposed to be evidence of my front door! I tried contacting DPD on social media - they ignored all of my multiple message. Amazon reported to me that my item was delivered - so clearly DPD have told them they have. Please for the love of God people stop using this company! Let them go bust! Don't give them your money they don't bloody deserves it. Use a more reputable courier! It won't be long till these guys are featured on Watch Dog.

'Attempted delivery' - The picture was taken of Liverpool Street station, a good 5-10min walk from our delivery address. 'Pick up from a pick up point' - They never delivered it to the pick up point after costing my company >£300 in labour to collect and fit it. 7 days later - 'We will deliver your parcel by 10:30 tomorrow morning 'I can guarantee that'. IT DIDN'T ARRIVE!! I called them up to ask what was going on; 'Call back in an hour - the depot manager isn't about yet' is what I was told. No attempt to sort this out, just a lot of rubbish coming from their end. I think they have lost our parcel - if this is the case they could have just told us and our supplier would send us a new one!! This has so far cost my company circa £800 in lost labour times waiting for the parcel. Our client thinks we are a joke and it is causing a lot of issues with our ongoing relationship and could cost us our contract! All I want is honesty and for the parcel to be delivered - I have even offered to collect it!! I used to think DPD were the best-now I will refuse to use them (I'm aware they won't care)!!

I ordered a phone to my works address so that I knew I would definitely be there to get it, ordered the time slot for 2pm-3pm yesterday. DPD text me this morning to say my parcel is definitely being delivered between 2:49 and 3:49pm... It is now 5:20pm offices are about to close up, they haven't rung me at all to say where my parcel is so I've phoned them to ask whats happening... and their response is that he is hours away and I'm going to have to wait outside work in my car because they won't change the address to my home address even though it is entirely their fault, and I have no choice but to wait because I need the device for a course tomorrow... nice of DPD to let me know I could pick it up from the depot 80 miles away instead though. Pathetic .
