The delivery company that fails to deliver.

Drivers just skip deliveries if they can’t be bothered. Happened multiple times when I’ve been standing on the road outside delivery address

DPD promised delivery on Wednesday morning but didn't deliver.Said that I was out, which I wasn't and that they had left a card, which they hadn't. So I had to go on their website to re-book for Thursday. I gave them telephone numbers to contact me. Again non delivery and they didn't ring.. This time the same driver said that he couldn't find the address! As I couldn't contact DPD through their website easily I got onto the supplier to complain about non delivery and they chased dpd. I eventually received package which was battered and burst open late Friday. I get excellent delivery from Amazon so why cant DPD try to match them?

I expected to recieve delivery of my daughters new school uniform on Thursday, she starts her new school on Monday. I was informed by DPD on Wednesday that they had my parcel and it would be delivered on Thursday. On Thursday I was informed that they did not have my parcel, I went out and on my return I had a card stating that, DPD had tried to deliver the parcel they never had! Delivery was rearranged for Friday. The driver arrived with one box on Friday, his hand held computer informed him that a box was missing, rather than looking for the box, he stated that his computer was wrong! In fact a box was missing and the driver had LIED!! When I contacted the help line, the driver refused to return and DPD would only deliver on Wednesday!! ZIbsas told by s help line operative that " we were going around in circles for half an hour". Forget the fact that I had waited 40 minutes to even speak to her!! For me this is the worst experience I have ever had with receiving a parcel, and I receive parcels on a regular basis! I would never knowingly use DPD and I implore you to do the same! POOR, POOR, extremely bad!

Took a day off work to then be told that i can collect my parcel from depot as they don't have enough drivers. Not quite sure what I paid the money for and the staff I spoke to to resolve the issue was arrogant and rude.

Dreadful, dreadful service. Parcel was supposed to delivered on Friday and left in safe place. Had email saying no one in so card left. NO card and just a black square where photo should have been ... Second email sent to DPD requesting redelivery on following Monday. Full address details and safe place information given. Strangely, received two emails with differing times for delivery. Item never arrived, yet again no card and no photograph. Received a further email claiming that a man at address had declined the delivery! Total nonsense as no one at the address. If they went to the incorrect address why not try to find the correct one?! I received a further email saying the delivery was rearranged for Tuesday as requested. NO such request made by myself. Maybe the driver did it himself. Finally delivered Tuesday: thrown outside front door where anyone could have picked it up so all instructions totally ignored. This is not the first time I have had a problem with DPD - say they have tried to deliver when no attempt made. Dread it when I order online and DPD are the delivery service.

I scheduled a day off to stay at home for a delivery. As the delivery slot elapsed, we got an automatic message saying that delivery is rescheduled as nobody was there to receive the parcel!! Fortunately our building has a concierge. I went down to check with the concierge and he told me that the delivery person did not even try to enter the building when shown directions to the block and just left! I then left a note to DPD about this and also via Mamas and Papas (from whom we purchased the items) expressing our disappointment and stating very clearly that I will be home the following day to receive the parcel. Unbelievably, the same thing happened!! As our slot elapsed, we got an automatic message saying we were not present. I again checked with the concierge (who I had made aware of about a delivery) and I believe the delivery person wanted to dump the packages (mine and others) at the reception desk. When told that he can reach the tenant, he just left, without even unloading the truck!! I have lost two days. I am going to again try contacting Mamas and Papas to get the message to DPD that I if the driver can call me when he reaches here, I will physically help him unload the truck if he has an issue walking to the building. The service is disgraceful and just plain dishonest. Will definitely avoid any shopping that uses DPD as their delivery

Had to change my plans 3 days in a row to be home for a dpd delivery time slot for a package I paid next day delivery for. Each time no delivery was attempted, as admitted by dpd, due to - never having had the package to begin with on day 1, a problem with the delivery van on day 2 and a system failure on day 3. I am 4 days in, have been hung up on 2x by dpd customer care services after 25 mins waiting on the line each time to speak to someone, received an email explaining that there are too many frustrated customers to spend too much time with one on the phone (hence why I was hung up on) when I filed a complaint. Additionally, dpd feedback to be company I ordered from was the delivery was attempted which is a blatant lie. Have been told to reorder my package and pay at point of purchase for dpd premium. What a joke.

UPDATE I've posted my previous review below and I think it's only fair I provide an update. After the mishap Friday, I went online and upgraded my delivery to Saturday (£5 charge). My neighbour (see previous review) then rescheduled delivery for Monday - meaning I wasted £5 (not DPD's fault). However, the lady I spoke to on the app chat kindly agreed to REFUND me. I also asked her whether it's possible to 'use' the £5 I have already paid and upgrade my delivery to Sunday instead of refunding me. She said my parcel is LOCKED AWAY and they're unable to do this (OK, fair enough). BUT, on the website I still had the option to reschedule for Sunday. Fast forward to Sunday, I decided to upgrade my delivery to be delivered before noon Monday. My parcel arrived on time. Although, I did have to stand outside and wait for him. And he had the audacity to say, 'you weren't in Friday...'. PREVIOUS REVIEW Terrible. As others have mentioned, it's almost impossible to get in contact with them. Partner was on hold for over 40 minutes. I even tried to contact them on Twitter to no avail. Delivery driver attempted to deliver to the wrong address (neighbours were not in). He took a photo of the door which is clearly the wrong flat (I live at 1B, he delivered to 1A). It's actually more difficult to locate 1A - many times we've had people knock asking where A is. The first flat you see is B, so why/how on earth he managed to bypass my flat and locate A is a mystery in itself.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have had so many bad experiences with this company that I almost want to make it my life’s work to make sure no one else uses them. Bought an item and opted for Saturday delivery via DPD. The item was a present needed for Monday so I paid the extra courier charge. DPD have an app which lets you track the parcel. App showed that the package had been received by DPD and then it vanished! Given that the parcel was last in DPD’s hands, I’d have expected them to be able to find out where the parcel had gotten to. Nope. DPD’s solution was to palm the problem off on me to resolve with the seller. I made the point that it made no sense for me to tell the seller to tell DPD to look for the parcel. I was told computer says no. UPDATE 1: I posted this review on another site and was contacted by 'Tom' in their social media team asking me to email their team. I have done so. I will be gobsmacked if I get my package today and pretty surprised if I get a half useful reply (which, according to the auto reply, is due in the next 90 minutes). UPDATE 2: As expected, no reply within 90 minutes. Absolutely useless. Their customer service closes in 30 minutes - let’s see if Tom gets back to me? UPDATE 3: Email received from Tom. He "will do [his] utmost to get this situation sorted for [me] asap." Fingers crossed but, as before, I'll be amazed if I get my parcel today. UPDATE 4: Tom couldn’t even find the package number. I’m told this will be felt with as a ‘matter of urgency’ Tomorrow morning. What’s the betting on it being lost? UPDATE 5: On Sunday I was told (nay, guaranteed) that my package would be here on Monday. It is Monday - I have now been told that DPD have significant delays and will do their best to get it out today). I am considering applying to be a DPD driver, working my way up through the ranks and delivering my package myself to save time. UPDATE 6: I was promised that the package would arrive after 6:30pm on Monday so left work early. Despite their customer services team confirming that the driver was on route, no delivery. It’s now Tuesday and have no idea where my package is or when it will be delivered. Baffled. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Paid for an upgrade to have my parcel delivered on a Sunday so I could be there. Parcel never even left the depot. Turns out DPD dont deliver to my postcode on a Sunday yet they took the payment.

Driver refused to take package to our first floor flat, choosing to run away when asked for help by my nine month pregnant wife. Left the package on the path outside. Couldn't have been more unhelpful if he'd have tried.

Believe most people only rate a company when they have an issue, speak as I find however and DPD were tip top. Speedy delivery and kept updated with their tracking system. Very impressed with the service. Many thanks.

Driver delivered to wrong address but they weren't in. There is a door number plate on neighbours wall clearly stating the WRONG number. Text to say I'm not in when I am sat there waiting for the parcel. Driver then came back to deliver the package to my 91 year old mothers house without warning (she is vulnerable and I had explained this when I finally got thru to a human to talk to on the phone at DPD Birmingham) The DPD robot number has cost me an £11:50 bill to communicate with 2 robots and now DPD are refusing to take my complaint seriously. They have now sent me a link to make a claim for my money back in the small claims court!!! I have emailed their CEO as their tactics are disgusting.
