I am compelled to share my recent experience with DPD, which has left me thoroughly dissatisfied. On January 23rd, I dropped off a parcel expecting a next-day delivery, as per the service I had booked. However, as of today, the 24th, my parcel remains uncollected, adding to a series of significant delays I've encountered with DPD. One major issue is the near-impossibility of reaching a human at DPD for assistance. Their customer service relies solely on automated systems, making it extremely challenging to address issues or file complaints. Despite my attempts, it appears that DPD is indifferent to the difficulties customers face. This unexpected delay not only inconvenienced me but also led to a forced refund to a buyer due to the unfulfilled next-day service agreement. Such lapses in service are unacceptable and can be detrimental to businesses and reputations. I caution others against using DPD based on my experiences. The combination of unreliable service and a frustrating lack of human support makes DPD a less-than-ideal choice for reliable and efficient parcel deliveries. Consider alternatives with better customer service and a more dependable track record.

Terrible service. A delivery was scheduled to my home address and the DPD tracking said it was on the vehicle. The tracking then stated that it was being returned to the depot as apparently no one was in to receive the delivery. This was absolutely not correct, we stayed in specially to receive it. Exactly the same happened the next day. Then the tracking stated it was being held in the local depot, then that it was being sent back to the sender. A major issue with this company is that there is no way to contact them to chase up. No telephone number, no email address. For a company of this size surely they could create a digital system like many others delivery companies do. Avoid, there are better more reliable companies out there.

Yet again non delivery. Dont think the drivers even try to find my address. No feedback except to say they couldn't find the address. We are on a main road. It was a fridge which was quite urgent

Another let down by DPD (driver both times a chap called Callum). Package is a mobile phone to replace my existing handset so is quite urgent as I have no communications otherwise. The initial delivery was scheduled for Tuesday 23/1/24 between 18:00-19:00. Both my wife & I were home for said delivery, however when I checked on delivery progress around 18:30 online, I was met with the statement "Your parcel could not be delivered, as your DPD driver could not find your address/gain access". Admittedly, there are some utility works on my street but it is still completely accessible. The bin lorry got down it this morning for heaven's sake & it's massive! So I chalked this one up to experience thinking maybe a traffic cone or two had put the driver off. The delivery was rescheduled for 24/1/24 between the more precise time of 16:57-17:57. Guess what? I checked my emails at 17:05 & was met with the same statement: "Your parcel could not be delivered, as your DPD driver could not find your address/gain access". My advice to DPD: get with it. Surely your driver has the nous to look up a street & see past a traffic cone or two? The street is not closed! Additionally, it is a short street that takes one minute to walk up or down. Is your driver unable to park & deliver this important package? I feel very let down by DPD & what I sense is a 'can't be arsed' attitude from the driver but sadly the company I purchased the mobile phone from use DPD for such deliveries. I sorely wish they didn't. Royal Mail would have been a much better bet. I rate DPD so poorly that I don't expect any resolution to this issue but as a decision maker with regards to postal services in my company, I shall be ensuring, to the best of my ability, that DPD are not given any further business by my company & I will go out of my way to tell as many of my business colleagues as possible to never use this appalling company. Business works on word of mouth and influence & I feel so strongly about this matter that I will do my best locally to try and show to DPD that unless your prioritize customer service, your business is not worth a hill of beans & doesn't deserve our business! Perhaps mine is an isolated incident but notwithstanding, DPD's failure as a courier to deliver this important item will cost me time, effort & money & leave me without communications until I receive my mobile phone.

I set day and time to receive my parcel, I even asked my husband to take a day off so you could be at home. Result: I did get the parcel because the driver instead of to ring the door bell, knocked the door, he missed me and i had to set a new delivery day. I am honestly fuming. Moreover, the dpd does have a complaint form to fill. The only thing you can do it's phone the customer service so they will pass down the complaint to the driver.

They were once the Rolls Royce of delivery companies, they're now a pitiful Postman Pat tribute act. Every delivery turns into some kind of children's TV episode, it's not called Guess Who? It's called Guess Where? You get a message that your parcel has been delivered with an accompanying photo of a random pair of feet on an internal doormat. The only thing you have to go on is the colour of the internal carpet, the state of recipients toe nails and maybe a snippet of the shade of the doorstep if you're lucky. However, if they're feeling really cheeky they'll take a random picture of a house 4 miles away from you and say sorry we missed you... Of course you did, an asteroid 4 miles away would've missed me too. But the real gem is when you get a delivery notice, and you recognise the house a few hundred yards away. So you whizz round there only to be told by the owner that he took a photo then realised it was the wrong address and took it with him. This leads to the unfolding of a massive mystery, because he's about to drop it somewhere else and the system won't ever know where that it. This then leads you to get into the car and start driving around looking for him, let's say his name is Rajinder. You end up stopping around 10 Asian looking drivers with no luck. Around 2 weeks later you're expecting another order, and it's Rajinder again, so this time you get into the car and track him down using the map before he gets to you. He remembers the drop off and kindly informs you that he eventually delivered that parcel to a pub 1 mile away from where you live. A pub!!! Fortunately the package was at said pub & it had been opened, but nothing was taken. Advice, set up what3words on the DPD app and take a photo of your premises. It's not bulletproof but it has helped.

Rated 1 out of 5 stars Worst delivery company! Worst delivery company!! One of their driver from the Southwark depot tried to steal my partner’s new iPhone, he got tracked down by my partner, eventually got the phone out from the back of the van after he just marked it as delivered. His scanning device had been taken off him to force him to give the phone back and when my partner threw it back to him, it injured his nose. God knows what story he cooked up, but the result of that was that our address had been blocked off by the local depot. What I don’t understand is, if the address is so dangerous to deliver to, why they accept any order we make and suppose to be delivered by DPD from the sender in the first place. That’s waste of money, man power and energy…I recently ordered an e-bike(£1000 worth), it came from Ireland. It was no issue with the delivery until it arrived in the local depot. They marked it straight away as going back to sender however I’ve the changed the delivery address to my neighbour’s address as I was already aware of their foolishness. I got a notification email that it’s arriving today, then I got a notification that it’s in the process of sending it back. My partner had to go to the depot and cause disruption to be able to speak to the manager and explain what happened. Then they realised how big the parcel is and it would be a stupid thing to send it back IRELAND! And we have to go through with every item that supposed to be delivered by DPD! Customer service is useless, communication awful! They employ thieves and they stand behind them and blocking people’s addresses unlawfully and they don’t even notify them! I’m considering taking this matter to court as it caused so much distress, heated visits to the depot and frustrating phone calls to unhelpful customer service! WARNING! If you live in a block of flats, be aware, that the driver might try to steal your parcel and take a picture of it in someone else doorstep holding it in their own hand then disappear with it and mark it up as delivered so the tracking function stops!!

begrudingly entered a 1 star as you can't do none. Paid for premium delivery service for Sky mobile as I cannot take time off work - teacher. Got email confirming payment received and time noon-6pm Sunday 21st. Around 2pm friend told me of terrible DPD reputation. Checked website, my delivery had been cancelled at 09:37 on Sunday and moved to Monday. No reason why, no contact with made with me. Called customer service immediately, sat on hold, no response from on-line chat no WHATSAPP link. Well. DPD, you will waste your time and fuel as I am not in tomorrow, so you will return it to SKY. Have spoken to Sky and they are going to process the order again, so we can go through the charade once more.

Don't use they employ people that don't understand English and can't read post codes, They are worse than the post office scandals & should be held accountable for undelivered parcels.

Driver has been many times before but today cannot find my address? I stayed in all day waiting for the delivery to no avail. This company are hopeless I won't use some retailers now because they deliver by dpd. I cringe when I see they are the courier. Stopped using a food delivery company because dpd kept leaving my food outside on the driveway, not even bothering to ring the doorbell. Avoid them at all costs they are truly dreadful.

I bought a vacuum cleaner from Curry’s last Monday and was advised the delivery would be Tuesday so soon all good I then answered the DPD message to say I would not be in and told exactly where to leave it even got given a verification number to prove I was me followed all the correct channels. It arrived at the time given as I saw it on my cctv, however it was taken to the drop off point which was the same distance as my local Curry’s store and the reason I ordered it online was for the delivery. I then phone DPD and was told that the only way I could get it was to collect it so as I do not have a car this was out of the question so she said it was my only option then I asked to speak to a manager she said one would phone me within two hours which didn’t happen. After two hours I phoned Curry’s and asked them if they denied it being left unattended because on the form it said the only way they would not deliver was if Curry’s refused and that it was at my own risk which I agreed to. So now it has gone back to Curry’s to then be collected and delivered again over a week later!

Seems that DPD customer service and drivers are following some type of protocol on how to give the worst service. Some of the other reviews are saying the exact same thing happened. 10th order via DPD ‘sorry, no one was in’ when there was no knock on the door or ringing on the intercom as we were sat at home. Then calling DPD customer service met with argumentative agent who insisted the driver was at the front of the building but couldn’t show me any picture to prove it. I kept asking them to show me a picture but kept telling me to check the app which I was on and there was no picture uploaded. Drivers and customer service are liars. Drivers name was Mohammed in East London area. I wish I could say avoid at all costs however companies still seem to use this incompetent courier without allowing the customer to choose.

Would give it zero points if possible 3 failed deliveries ,diabolical service. Parcel received by DPD 11th Jan. 1st failed delivery 12th January, 2nd failed delivery 15th January 3rd failed delivery 17th January. Excuses are I wasn't in .that's right delivery is to a shop in centre of the town . If that shop is closed delivery to a shop that is open till 10pm. Absolutely diabolical no other words

DPD promised delivery 16/ 1 / 24 then changed the time twice, then cancelled. The next day they apparently delivered it to a collection point 30 miles away after delivering me a card at my home address. When I phoned DPD they put me on hold then hung up on me. The next official I spoke to tried to fob me off then laughed at me. I phoned the place that DPD said they had been dropped off at and there is no record of it showing on their system, despite DPD tracking stating it was delivered there. I suspect it has gone for a walk, and I suspect someone knows fine well where my parcel is... Thanks DPD and I will avoid this organisation like the plague.

DPD were supposed to delivery my parcel on the 8th Jan, its now the 17th and I've still not received it, no way to contact them via the chat and when I ring get an automated message saying my parcels delayed due to a problem of delivery in my area. another words they have either lost my parcel and don't even have the decency to let me know, or one of the drivers has stolen it which seem to be a recurring thing with them(lots of people have had there parcels opened goods taken out then taped back up) absolutely vile thieving cowboy of a delivery firm.

I have been waiting for my parcel at home saying on the app for the driver to call me just to show how important was my parcel. The driver did call me but he didn't spoke and he close the fone ,the thing is that he didn't try to call the second time and he didn't even know at the door because I was at home waiting so bad for my parcel and he didn't knock or ring the bell,he just took a picture and left. I tried to contact DPD to redeliver the parcel and they said they can do nothing today just to wait for my parcel to be delivered tomorrow, if the driver said he was at the door and he put the picture that means the driver is right I didn't answer. I was at home and if someone knocks at my door I can hear, plus I was really expected the parcel. So I was very careful if someone is knocking. All adder companies like Amazon, Royal mail, every they give you a option to have the parcel in the day you expected or at least if you say you were at home they will fix the problem. It's not the first time DPD is doing this to my deliveries but this time it was a very important parcel.
