Avoid as much as you can, it's a real scam. I rented this Van for the good price they offered without thinking they had to make up for the money somehow. Once you enter their office, first thing you see is all the charges for the damages, they even charge for the smallest scratch ever (other companies consider small scratches wear and tear...). Prices to repair are ridicolous, as an example they charge for a tyre the same price 4 tyres would cost. Regarding my experience, I collected the Van at 6PM in the dark (they have no lights) and I had to use the torch of my phone (while it was raining so much) to check it. Their employee checked it too and he did not even see a flat tyre which I had to tell him. When I returned the van (rented it for 2 days, drove it 20miles), their employee checked the van in less than 3 minutes and found 3 damages in 3 different parts of the van by going straight to where the damages were found such as chipped windscreen near the wipers (coincidence?!?!), a small scratch in the back door (at an height that you can only do it by hand) and the back door was all worn and listen: a cut in the the tyre but.... The tyre was worn already!!! They initially wanted to charge over 1k but in the end they charged 650e (200e for the tyre, 250 for the windscreen, 150e for the scratch and 50e for one day off road)just because they could repair the windscreen. Avoid this company as much as you can if you don't want to end up like me.

Stay away! They just want as much money from your credit card. Deposits, several times. Even 6 months after the rental (I rented with full insurance too). They're not responding to any emails.

Keep away from the plague called easirent. Waste of time and money. Prices are cheap, but you pay twice or three times up to 100 times the offered price. They don’t have cars or vans and try to push on you what is available even if it doesn’t fit your requirements. Do not be fooled into driving to another branch to pick up a van or car, you will be surprised what you will find. Don’t be fooled by the cheap prices. I will not rent again from easirent.....

We recently rented a car in the UK. We missed a toll and had a fixed penalty notice of £22 issued by the local authority, which the company paid. Easirent then contacted us to let us know that the situation and that they would be charging the £22 back to us, plus an additional £55 'Administration Fee' for the privilege. Yes, it is written in the rental agreement (in very fine print) that this fee applies however, in my opinion this is an absolute scandal. I called the Customer Care line to ask what is the justification for this additional charge and the rep. on the phone stated that their penalties department deal with 'hundreds of claims like this daily' and 'can't expected to work for free'. The rep. also stated that an equivalent fee for an equivalent offense in their Irish branch costs €10 (or £8.75 approximately). Suffice to say I will never deal with this company again and will make it my business to warn as many people I can to avoid Easirent.

Like most folks I was 'reeled in' by low advertised daily rate. On arrival at desk at Glasgow depot the sales guy gave his pitch on 'optional' insurance wavers to reduce excess on any claim. I declined stating I was a very experienced professional driver. Ok then he says, in that case we need to take £1800 deposit! What?! Who has a spare £1800 on credit card these days. If I wanted car without this deposit I had to agree to 'optional' insurance. In short 4 day hire advertised at £88 cost over £180. Oh another trick. Have the salesguy actually check the fuel guage in sight of you. Tank marked full and only after driving out of yard noticed it good bit less. Strikes me this company have replicated the shady business model of those hire companies that sting you on your holiday at the airport. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! p.s. would not have given a single star if that was an option to give a review.

A complete rip-off with hidden costs all over the place. We were really upset by this and spoke to the 'manager' (not sure who he was really). He basically said we were stupid for not reading the small print. We explained that we had asked the receptionist questions and had received answers to them. It then got in to an our word against his word argument. We were treated very badly by this company, their customer service is non-existent. Avoid.

‪Fraudulent company and horrible staff in Cork branch My wife hired a car from Easirent to return home for her father’s year anniversary of his death (Years mind) this past weekend. She arrived in Cork, Ireland fairly late Friday afternoon/evening. She was with my child who is 11 months. As such she was in quite a rush to get her out of the cold and rain and didn’t spend the time she perhaps should have done looking around the car for scratches etc. It was also very dark and the employees didn’t help very much. She proceeded to use this car to drive to inchydonney and back on Sunday. When she returned the car on Sunday the Easirent employees said that she had caused damage to the wheel. She outright denies that allegation and said she did absolutely nothing. My wife is a very honest person and would 100% own up to a scratch if she committed the offence. She was left in tears following a conversation with the staff on Sunday which is not acceptable. I rang up the Cork airport branch this morning and spoke to an Owen (wrongly spelt) who in my view was very arrogant, not the customer service I have been used to in Ireland I must say. I rang up first to say how disappointed I was that my wife was left in tears following the altercation with members from the branch but also to obtain the necessary documents to claim back from her insurance. The insurance company was very clear that we need the accident damage report, the tax invoice for what my wife was charged and the repair invoice for how much it would cost to repair (It should match the charge my wife has). Owen proceeded to tell me that they didn’t have to repair it as it was superficial damage. I said you can’t charge my wife for something you are not going to get repaired. Surely this is normal. You should only charge a customer what the repair is. He then changed his stance and said it would be 2-3 weeks before it got repaired but yet they still wouldn’t send out the reapir invoice. What I believe he is planning to do is send out the repair matrix they use to calculate the cost. This is unacceptable as I would like to see the repair cost and make sure we are only paying for the repair of the wheel my wife has been accused of damaging (Which she did not do). By not providing this info we can’t claim back on our insurance that we have been paying for. I rang up again asking for the recording of the telephone conversation as I’m willing to take this to the highest regulatory body (ECRCS or ECC-Net or BVRLA) because I think this is awful and fraudulent on behalf of the company. This is really not good enough. The fact the staff have accused my wife, made her cry when she was clearly vulnerable with a small baby, and now giving confusing statements over whether the repair will be fixed or not is unacceptable

We hired a car from easirent but due to COVID19 situation and airports shutting down in Uk. We had to take an earlier flight than scheduled. We had 5 remaining days on the rental car but they refused us refund. They had no simpathy. Will use them again.

Easirent is not Easi! Easirent is not as it seems more like easiscam! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! They make everything so complicated come out really cheap on boooing sites then up and up the amount they want at the desk it is all a big con! Then when you want to escalate how awful they are you realise that the customer service higher up isn’t any better! After been ignored for 3 weeks and been hung up on by area managers with no apologies! Just pay the extra and use enterprise! Don’t even waste your time or money! I’m a parent of a newborn baby who was messed around for nearly 2 hours before walking out promised a full refund to be left nearly £100 out of pocket! Ridiculous

Avoid this outfit. Booked a car from ‘Gatwick ‘ truth is there is a 15 -20 minute bus journey to the location. - bus runs every 40 -45 minutes . The location is at the back of a old fashioned hotel. The rental chap was rude and insisted no one wait in the office but to go to hotel - mainly so people could hear the list of complaints I wonder? The car I had booked was not available and they had none of the correct specifications. ’ a man would get one in 5 minutes’ i was told rudely. 15 minutes later still no sign . As i witness line of customers express a wide range of complaints during my wait I followed the gut instinct I had on arrival and left to get a car back at the airport.

Wish I had read reviews before spending over €3000 with these heartless, greedy, criminals. As everyone else has said, the price you are quoted, is NOT what you pay. Also, they changed unlimited kms to 114 a day. The worst is, my husband is in Ireland on a holiday and desperately needs to come back to Canada ( Covid 19) before all flights are cancelled. EASIRENT will not refund any part of his 3 month rental, and we tried to return the car less than 12 hours after picking it up. “Policy is no refunds” KLM has been flexible, his hotel has released him of his obligation, and the rest of the planet seems to be cooperating and trying to do their best for everyone. NOT EASIRENT THOUGH.....special place in Hell for this company.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! - Do not use this company! They are deceitful, dishonest, and disrespectful. Don't even deserve 1 star but zero wasn't an option. They take pleasure in finding underhand ways to screw extra money out of you, bunch of scam artists. It will end up costing at least 4 - 5 times the price you were misled to expect. They charged extortionately extra for not having a printed copy of a document even though I showed the electronic version on my phone. Wouldn’t let me print and said it’s because they didn’t have internet!! Yet, I have received emails from the same office. Told me I couldn’t rent a car from another company at such short notice as they wouldn’t have cars available as it’s such a busy time of year… 6th of January??! the degenerate kept smirking to his colleague as he was lying to me. I only accepted the car as I was desperate to get home to see my sick mother. Instead of being helpful, they used my desperation as an opportunity to manipulate me to line their pockets and empty mine. Kept insisting the car was in good condition, repeatedly telling me how 'fresh' it is. When I looked around the car the nearside rear panel was badly damaged with a deep dent and crease, paint scraped off and a thick layer of rust to the bare metal. The guy dealing with me claimed he knew nothing about it, “it must have just happened” even though the bare metal was badly rusted. I now return to Belfast on a very regular basis and will always use a well-known reputable company conveniently situated at the actual airport (not in some dodgy industrial dump miles away). You will be treated with the respect you deserve and it will cost less in the long run.

Please don't be fooled by the low price, it never stays like that while they try to scam you for anything they can get. Our flight was delayed and they the car we hired had been removed from their system by the travel operator and we would have to pay again. When we returned home we complained to our travel operator who investigated and Easirent said the charge was for an upgrade on the car which was so untrue.

We hired a car in Oct 2019 for the duration of our holiday in Turkey. When we went to the desk at the airport to pick up the car, the agent said that we did not have correct number on our forms as easyrentcars hadn't given us it. I'm disabled so we needed the car. The ant said that if we paid again, that easyrentcars would refund us because it was their mistake. They would contact the company and sort it and refund would be put into our account. Easyrentcars admitted they owed us a refund as their mistake on original paperwork. They gave us part refund. We have been sending emails with bank details etc but they just make excuses. We are still owed £18+. We have not heard from them since two weeks ago when they again insisted our ban number and sort code for Bank was incorrect. Its delaying tactics because we have sent same numbers months ago and they just say its wrong.

Keep away from this Company. My experience of Easirent was so poor that I wrote to the national Guardian. My complaint was printed on Saturday 16 November. Having paid £48 for a three day hire I was required to pay £142 to reduce damage excess to zero. This was bad enough but on returning the car the agent immediately noticed a scuff mark on a wing mirror. I was assured that my insurance would cover any damage. The scam came when I was charged £62 as an admin charge. I wrote to the Company outlining my complaint but to no avail. I asked for a receipt for this admin charge but have heard nothing. The Guardian followed up but with no success. After negative interactions with Easirent the Guardian gave the following advice to its readers: "strongly urge you to look at its T&C and its long list of extra fees and charges . . . and take your business elsewhere"

Glasgow Airport Branch - I don’t think I would ever use this company again. It wasn’t a pleasant experience at all. First of all, I should say this was booked through a third party agent called rentalcars.com. Not directly with easirent. So the first thing was the pick up. I couldn’t hear the guy on the phone clearly when I phoned as I arrived at Glasgow airport. I was waiting in the pick up point and I should’ve been waiting in car park 2. We eventually connected, but shall we say there was a little bit of an atmosphere in the van going back to their location. So the location! It can best be described as being operated out of a Portakabin up a dirt track and inside an industrial site just on the outskirts of Paisley. Getting into their site you have to go through potholes and craters the size of those on the moon! I was then asked to check in on these machines which went disastrously wrong. I then realised that I did not have my passport with me and I did not have a utility bill with me though I did have them all electronically and digitally. Eventually when I got to check-in the chap said that because I didn’t have the paper copies of all the necessary documentation they couldn’t release the car via the original booking (which we had already paid for full insurance) They then informed me that the insurance already taken out wouldn’t cover me as I didn’t have all the documentation, but if I took out their insurance again they would let me have the car. Seeing as how I was abandoned in the middle of Paisley with no means to get to where I was going I was kind of over a barrel; so I had to pay £84 for two days fully comp insurance although we already had taken out insurance with a third party who we booked through. Eventually I got that to the car. It was a Honda Civic. It was filthy. Although I taken out fully comp insurance the car was covered in dints chips scratches. And actually, was is so dirty it would’ve taken me an hour or so to go around the car and fully note all of them. As I had full insurance it didn’t really matter so it was kind of skipped. The chap at she said to me “it doesn’t matter if you bring back half a car you’re fully insured”. When I got inside the car the car was filthy. The foot wells were full of mud and water which they’d put a put a piece of paper over the top and it too was covered in mud. I was told the car was full and I had to return it full. Over the two days I drove 54 miles. And when I came back to fill it up I had to put in £15 worth of fuel to fill it up. I had noticed the fuel gauge which was digital was one notch below the full mark and when I returned it, it was one notch above the full mark so the tank was by no means full when I go it. They also insist on seeing your petrol receipt to prove that you have filled up. I got dropped back at the airport no bother but to be honest with you I’ve never been so glad to finish my dealings with a company. When I was there I saw high pressure selling of insurance to people and just felt uneasy about the whole set up. I’ve used companies like Hertz enterprise dollar many many times from lots of different airports and I have never had an experience like this before in my life. If you don’t take out the insurance they hold £1500 on your credit card which I believe is the maximum they can charge... and reading some of the other reviews on various sites people have had money taken from the credit card for damage that was there when they picked up the car .... Although I got stung for £84 for paying for insurance twice and when I filled up the tank, reading some of the other reviews I think I got off quite lightly. Use at your peril. You have been warned. I think also reading some of the company replies to bad reviews speaks volumes in that slightly aggressive tone that whoever is writing them uses. For comments such as “I got charged for damage I didn’t do” the reply from the company is “it’s always a shame when our customers damage our cars.”………… You can read between the lines lines....
