We used to have a great experience with ebay but just lately things seem to have gone badly downhill. We were selling items, not receiving payment and ebay really weren't doing anything to help, even though the buyer had entered into a contract to buy the item from us. At a traditional auction, this would never be allowed. Now, after buying a couple of items on ebay I haven't received a DVD I ordered. It wasn't a lot of money, but it's put me off ever trading with them again, which is a shame. I have certainly lost trust with them and will close my account.

Terrible customer service, they act like nothing is their fault!

Disgraceful non existent customer service. A pitiful system that allows prior non payers to vindictively sabotage your future genuine listings without even having an opportunity to talk to someone about it first. Then even after realising what has occurred they do absolutely NOTHING about it and you lose funds and respect as a genuine seller for years which recently happened to my husband The whole ordeal was extremely distressing and cost us our holiday funds grrrrrr. Can’t speak poorly enough after so many issues with this site! Please someone start a new world generated auction site that’s professionally run with intelligent customer service reps to communicate with! Because you’ll instantly have millions of customers jumping ship !!!!

Ebay account was spoofed. A product was sold from my account I disputed the transaction as the customer did recv the product but canceled the payment but ebay doesnt care they always rule in favor of the buyer even when they are a scammer overseas and there is already complaints about them in their reviews. Ebay sends me a letter saying they will send me to collections over 20 bucks. Dont do business with them u will end up losing your money and the product they dont care about customer service. They are more on the side of the people on the other side of the world scamming their customers out of their money. They will tell u they cant help u and make u a fill out a report with ic3.gov who will do nothing to help u

I purchased a bookshelf for $50 from amazingplace007 on Ebay. Days later I received a box of gelatin from Walmart. I called Walmart and reported a suspicious delivery. The representative informed me that someone ordered a bookshelf for $34.88 and was having it delivered directly to me. Because they didn't make the $35 minimum for free delivery, they added the gelatin. He asked me if I ordered from Ebay and said that there are some sellers who use this scam. The seller conveniently doesn't include the brand of the item because the buyer would recognize the Walmart brand. I started a return and contacted the seller who told me I could only have a partial refund. He also advised me NOT to use the shipping label provided by Ebay because I would incur extra fees when he further deducted them from my refund. I complained to Ebay and was told he couldn't do that. When I asked how their policy would be enforced, I was given no answer. They will not do anything. The call ended with the representative hoping everything works out well.

Absolutely the worst customers service! As a seller I was calling to question the new practice of charging my customers sales tax since I am in a state that does not have sales tax. The first person I spoke to was "Glenn" he could give me much information other than a standardized speech so I asked to speak to a supervisor. "Peter" the supervisor go on the line with me. He was horrible to say the least. He spoke over the top of me, he was condensing and rude! I simply wanted to know who and when this tax issues was mandated. "Peter" went all around the issue and finally gave me the answer I was looking for...mandated by the Supreme court, only he couldn't say Supreme Court..he said Supreme Ruler. In his speech all around the issue he told me he knew what he was talking about and that I would need to get the details form my state tax expert (I live in Oregon and we do not have sales tax). When I pointed this fact out to him he got even more condescending towards me. As a seller, as a user, and as a 70 year old woman I resent my treatment by Ebay customer service. I may move over to Amazon in the future for my sales as I will not stand for this abuse form a company I do business with!

EBAY FRAUD AND PRICE FIXING. I believe there are a few sellers in China that control the worldwide markets and eBay. They have sales and marketing agreements to inflate and control prices and disclosure/representatiions for ALL PRODUCTS on eBay. These people control everything including Ebays profits, shipping costs, listing fees, protecting sellers (not buyers). Ebay is owned by a few key individuals. The vast majority of the stock is owned by specific people with overseas companies. This is the largest fraud operation I have ever seen. I occasionally run into a honest person that have represented their items for a fair price including shipping. It’s virtually impossible. They have millions of items for sale under different linked user names. There are a few people in China, Russia and a few other countries that own Ebay, PayPal, the money processing company in Europe (I do have specific details) and I look forward to receiving your reply. They also control Ebay’s MONEY BACK GUARANTEE! There is absolutely no money back guarantee to protect buyers. EBAY HAS NEVER GIVEN ANYONE ON PENNY BACK. Ebay actually makes money on their guarantee. The only way is to catch a seller because they have agreed to my terms and conditions I SENT THEM BEFORE I PLACED MY ORDER. Then, if they say yes, you still have to go through Ebay hoops and wait. Ebay states there is buyer fraud on Ebay. I would like just one documented example. Buyers go through hell to attempt to get their money back. I’m sure it’s possible to abuse the system. I want one case? I have now documented over 1000 sellers and items that are fraudulent. I have reported items and sellers. To date I have seen no evidence of the “fraud protection department” doing one thing to stop fraud. I could go one forever. Waiting for a honest reply. Ken

eBay is a bunch of thieves and some of the sellers are crooks! They don’t send the correct item or wrong sizes and refuse to send a return or get a refund! Then they never printed a shipping label for a couple items bought which sellers refuse to send so now I’m out about 200$ and received garbage that was not the correct size or sellers refusing to ship items taking my business elsewhere now! eBay doesn’t have no ones back only they want to collect the money!

I will never purchase from ebay again. It seems that after purchasing an item, seller said shipping FedEx seller sent item Smart Post to address that I don't get USPS mail at, even after I told him my address was only for Fed Ex. The item is being returned to seller as address was marked my post office as undeliverable. Ebay sides with seller and seller has the item and my money! Awful.

I will NEVER order anything for Ebay again! I order a gift for my granddaughter from gentleman-store and never received a tracking number nor the merchandise. I absolutely love Amazon Prime and the only reason I tried Ebay is because Amazon had sold out of the gift I needed. Well, you live and you learn!

I paid 200 pounds for a ruby earrings studs through eBay. I didn't receive it, but I did receive an email from eBay telling me that the item was delivered. I contacted eBay and one of their assistants told me to open a case. I did it, and one hour afterwards eBay sent me an email to say that my case was closed, because the seller said that the item was delivered and signed. I told eBay that I have CCTC at home, and I can prove that I didn't receive the item, but eBay ignored my CCTV and closed the case because the seller said that the item was delivered? I will close my eBay account as soon as I receive my money back. It has been incredibly stressful, and I am at my phone, in the last 30 minutes just to hear a stupid music and an automatic message saying that all their representatives are occupied. Is that how eBay deals with their costumers? Never again with me, I can assure you.
