I just spent over an hour trying to straighten out a return with eBay. I will never ever ever ever order something thru them again. I will throw away the item in question. Lesson learned

eBay has some heartless bastards that don’t care about their sellers. All they care is about themselves and making their percent and could care less about anybody but their profit margins. Sellers cannot leave a feedback on bad customers that don’t pay for items which is unfair and if you make a claim the customer can be a ahole and leave a negative feedback even tho they were wrong and eBay won’t do anything about it which sucks. You are basically are walking on egg shells with this ridiculous company. eBay will always be Greedy No good Scumbags.

ebay pretends its an auction site but all ebay wants is for you to list your item and if you make any money they take it. I was selling a commercial dishwasher on ebay for £1300 and £60 deliver, someone asked me if they could come and see it working, so naturally I said yes and I gave them my address for them to come and see it working, because I have given them my address ebay tells me I have broken ebay rules they are charging me £130 final value fee even though they never came to see the dishwasher working. The dishwasher has not been sold the dishwasher is still here and after spending hours trying to contact ebay as ebay makes it very difficult to get in touch and after all that ebay customer service is as useful as ashtray on a motor bike no help at all so if you are selling on ebay don't answer any questions you could get charged a final value fee whether you sell your item or not.I won't be selling on ebay ever again. Also you have to except paypal before you can list an item on ebay weather you want to except paypal or not, paypal is good if you are buying not if you are selling as I find out in hard way. Last year I sold a commercial ice maker on ebay for £1160.00 and they paid by paypal and all they have to do is wait one day before the 6 months is over all they had to say was item not as described paypal refunded their money, so as a result I lost my item and my money, so if you are thinking of listing an item on ebay be very careful.I know some of you reading this are not going to believe me if someone had told me all this I wouldn't have believed it until happens to you. I have to add this I've been selling on ebay ever since ebay was invented but no more.

Would give no stars if I could: Ebay are absolute crooks. Ebay's promise to resolve matters, like their "money back guarantee", are both utterly meaningless. I made the mistake of starting to use them again, which they rewarded by stealing another £50 of mine, forcing me to issue proceedings for its recovery. By contrast, what a joy to deal with Amazon. Whenever - rarely - an issue arise, returns and refunds are immediate.

Horrible company!!! After 15 years of buying stuff I'm done..They only protect sellers no matter what the situation is!They could care less about buyers as they make "No" money of of them..Switched to "AMAZON" and couldn't be happier and found "Better" pricing and Amazon has got your back, easy returns and Great customer service..Wish I had switched along time ago..Recommend getting "AMAZON PRIME" no shipping fees and awesome tv/shows included...GOODBYE EBAY..GOOD RIDDENS

If you are looking to buy or sell items on eBay do your self a favor and look else where! eBay as a company sucks for both buyers and sellers. They are not interested in anything other than the money they can make! I was just told from a supervisor at eBay that they don't care about customer or seller's feedback, all that matters to them is the amount of fees collected on the transaction. I know way too many people including myself that have been ripped off by eBay both as sellers and buyers.

You as seller don’t have any right. I recently soled nearly originally £200 worth Carrara sunglasses. As the buyer didn’t receive the item I was confirmed by Hermes that the parcel has gone missing . They directed me to seek compensation from EBay as I need to refund the buyer. After stressful weeks dealing with dissapointed buyer,Hermes and eBay at the same time they end up refund the money back to buyer from my account. Didn’t take in to consideration that I provide them with tracking number and it was totally not my fault at All . It fact the final decision theys that no tracking number was provide( which is incorrect) and that eBay promeses Money back guarantee for buyers. I wish I never try to sell those glasses on EBay . I end up loosing the sunglasses, the money plus one month of stress for nothing !!!

Hello, I am a seller on Ebay. I believe eBay is breaking federal law by over protecting the buyers to keep the profit high. I sold an item on Ebay. I listed the item as non refundable. The buyer came after 21 days and claimed that the item is not working. By Law buyer has 3 days to claim full refund. Buyer is personable to make sure the item is functioning as intended in reasonable time. 1- I disputed the return and informed ebay that the item was fully functioning and customer confirmed item was in good condition when it arrived. I also informed ebay that we believe buyer broke the item and after used it 21 days decided to return it and by law as a seller i have right not to accept the return. Ebay responded that they can over write any federal law since they are a global company and they have policy promises to customer 30 days money back guarantee. This is braking US federal law. Even though i didn't accept the return and asked ebay to step up, ebay accessed to my paypal account without my approval, and got money to send the buyers. This is fraud taking money form my account using my personal information without my approval.

I bought a sofa from a private seller on eBay who had not listed the correct measurements, even after I had explicitly asked if they were correct. The sofa did not fit in my living room, so I started the returns process as advised by eBay. The seller refused to pay for return delivery and eBay told me not to do so as it was his responsibility. They also told me on two occasions not to worry as they had 'got my back'. They hadn't. I waited for the given time and then escalated it to eBay. They immediately said I didn't qualify for a refund and closed the returns process. They didn't even read the communication between the seller and myself, because their response said the damage could have happened in transit. I never claimed there was any damage though, just the wrong measurements. I'm so disappointed and upset with this whole situation. I've lost money and been caused a huge inconvenience, but eBay just don't care. It's really put me off using them.

My account was banned for no reason. No I checked my recent transactions and nothing was there. Don’t bother making an alt they will ban that too.

Last company I want to deal with, a complete shambles when the slightest thing goes wrong. Impossible to contact ebay by email and when you phone nobody can understand your problem. In my case I ordered a dishwasher basket worth a mere £6.25 to be collected at an Argos store. After receiving an email from the supplier that the basket had been delivered for Collection I waited for Collection Code from ebay, After numerous phone calls to ebay for a Collection Code I was told lies that the item had not been delivered. To cut the story of this transaction short I received an email from eBay 3 months later with a Collection Code. No explanation that is the type of company they are. I ended up collecting the basket and putting it in the bin,

I had been ebay member since 2012. I bought and sold many stuff. I didn’t get any negative feedback. I hadn’t checked my account last 4 months. When I need to sell a few stuff on ebay I logged in and realised ebay doesnt allow me sell anymore. I contacted with them. The customer service said i’m not meeting ebay seller standard. She said they sent me email and gave me a chance to meet these criterias for 3 months. But as I didnt logged in 4 months i never saw this emails I was so surprised as I never got negative feedback or complain They shut down my selling section indefinitely. I might have made a mistake although i didnt get any bad fredback or complain. I’m not a proffesional seller. More expensive product I sold was max £15. But Ebay could ban me selling for a while not indefinitely. Even when people on blacklist they get clear in 6 years. I don’t understand why is that indefinetly?! These corporate companies have their own rules and they are like even above law.

Would I recommend eBay - BIG FAT NO. After buying a faulty echo dot from hightechelectonics through eBay and logging on to your online chat 3 times I am still no nearer on receiving a refund. I was recommended by eBay to return it with proof of delivery which I did - It hasn’t made any difference what’s so ever. I have also tried unsuccessfully to contact Hightechelecronics.
