“When buying something like a bare root tree that can't be seen to be good for sometime as you have to wait some weeks to establish that the tree is alive, leaves the buyer with no protection from Ebay. Try and make a claim and you are out of time, result NO REFUND. Ebay needs to use common sense when dealing with complaints of this sort of product, It allows the seller to send any rubbish out without any fear of having to give a refund!!!!!”

“My selling account gets restricted indefinitely out of no where. Never sold anything that goes against their policies, had no issues with buyers, 100% positive feedback. Then learn that because my brothers account got restricted due to some selling issues my account has been flagged because of a "strong connection" they wouldn't even tell me what the connection is! I assume its because we share the same address. Even tho i have nothing to do with whatever he has done, I literally have a zero relationship with him. Cant even stand the guy yet ebay just put me in the same category as him with no evidence to back up anything. Utter ridiculous.”

“A seller was nasty to me in emails. And then he canceled my order and didn't allow me to purchase. He then opened an unpaid claim against me. I called Ebay. Spoke to Odessa and supervisor Mervin. Both said they saw the emails. Acknowledging that the seller canceled the order. But would do nothing to help me. So, I now have a mark against me. Ebay is all about the money. If you don't make them money. You're garbage to them. Shop other online retailers. **** STAY AWAY FROM EBAY. *****”

“THE WORST THING ABOUT EBAY IS THAT THEY ARE PAIRED UP WITH PAYPAL. THIS MAKES THEM LOOK BAD AS PAYPAL IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED...AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT, THEY WILL FREEZE YOUR ACCT AND HOLD FUNDS UP TO 180 DAYS AND NO INTEREST ACCRUED. ALSO YOUR ACCT INFO IS NOT PROTECTED AND WIDE OPEN FOR ANYONE TO ACCESS. I HAVE BEEN A VICTIM OF FRAUD THRU MY PAYPAL ACCT SEVERAL TIMES!!! THEY ARE NOT EASY TO WORK WITH EITHER. UNFORTUNATELY, PAYPAL IS THE ONLY GATEWAY TO COMPLETE TRANSACTIONS, WHEN PURCHASING AND SELLING ON EBAY...THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM FOR EBAY THAT THEY REFUSE TO CHANGE!!!”

“I sold a keyboard on eBay for £80 Buyer said Alt key is not working and he wants to return this item back to me. i said ok please return it for full refund. he sent this back to me using service parcel to go, and the parcel to service damaged the keyboard during the return. i have contacted ebay and Ebay give buyer £80 refund, i have made appeal spending hour on phone with ebay but ebay is not agreeing to provide me with any refund and they have downgraded my account to below standard, so now i'm being charge 14% fee , i will say its not worth selling on ebay, (Case id 5200286294)”

“Hi have been threatened by eBay they will close my account for telling a seller they shouldn’t be promoting violence towards political figures on t shirts now they have reported me now my account will be closed. How about do your research on what you are selling on eBay then let’s chat. Terrible business takes so much money when a seller sells most likely due to there an American firm and they like sh***** on everyone who breathes on this earth. All the best eBay close my account I’ll make another one under another email address 👍”

“Some good sellers , some good bargains . But far too many scammers , fake goods galore being sold as authentic . Items that are beyond repair are sold as vintage . Some items like the 240volt pet warmer pad, fall well below safety standards and are likely to burn your house or zap your pooch . 100% silk items arrive with 100% polyester labels . Or items just don't arrive at all (usually Yodel) but are marked as delivered , there is nothing you can do . The list is endless !”

“As a seller if you sell an virtual item and have ebay messages proving that you have sent the item ebay does not take responsibility if the buyer call paypal and opens a unauthorised transaction you willl not be protected buy paypal or ebay seller protection they will both say the other is liable. also one of there accoutn specialist decides that i am in the buy reading ebay messages and says i should open a unpaid item case but few days later the completely deny the fact the colleague has said this and im down £160. ebay customer service is terrible pay a pound extra and use amazon atleast they care about who is doing transactions on there platform. they cant even admit they have a loophole in there platforms system.”

“I wish you had minus stars because it doesn’t deserve one star. Absolutely diabolical service after my account was hacked and also the linked PayPal account. Practically blamed by the customer service representative for having a dormant account. Lack of knowledge and understanding of GDPR regulations and no guarantee that my personal details haven’t been compromised. Continued emails after reporting the fraud from eBay saying the click and collect item was ready. Overall a poor experience I will be closing my account once a full refund has been received.”

“Ebay sellers sell products they do not have in stock. After you purchase an item, they will send an email stating the item will be delayed until their new drop shipment from China comes in. The next thing is the seller will create a shipping label and show you a tracking number and then sit on the item for several days before it is ever delivered to the carrier. I have be dealing with ebay for years and can say that it was one time a great place to deal with, but now it is super slow and filled with excuses. I have a 100% rating on ebay, but now look everywhere else for products and use ebay as a last resort.”
