“As a EBAY buyer and seller since 1999, EBay has done nothing but go downhill. I have 100 percent- perfect- feedback. Recently sold an item and accidentally shipped wrong part. As we offer free returns, EBAY now automatically generates USPS priority mail label for customer and charges you shipping fees. As the seller, you have no say in the return process and are not allowed to generate a return shipping label. We always ship via UPS for tracking and on time delivery. UPS shipping outbound fee was $20 for this item and EBAY charged $33 for return label, profiting on our error. That’s sick!”

“Again. Just purchased an iMac from ebay today morning. Spent £ 780 pounds. Two hours later I get an email from Ebay stating this item was auctioned from a fraudulent account. First thing I ve grabbed my laptop and searched how to contact them. Found it not easy to get connected to C.S. Once there ( 40 mins wait ) the agent talks to you but you can tell he/she is trying to derail your thinking onto different path, Quite a few times had copy/paste answers type alike.. So Now I have my monies frozen for at least 2 weeks. 2 weeks of hell to find out what they will say. Paypal useless also. :/ Blames ebay and vice versa. Im due full Ebay account cancellation as soon as I get my refund. Lastly, another case that happened to me recently on Ebay as a seller. Word of advice. Avoid Global shipping programe. Once your parcel is not delivered in time, the buyer gets a full refund no questions ask, you are charged. Read on google that there is a gap in the system where users abuse this programe by applying for refunds for items that didnt come ( they arrive but a bit later but it wont show up on the system ) so the buyer gets a free item and you have no item neither monies. Lastly huge charges, 10% ebay + 5% paypal ( ebay ) High return risk = $£ loss Im seriously out of ebay. Been there since 2007, 750+ 100% feedback. Always been mega reliable super seller/buyer. Its time to find new platforms, Be aware tho, Gumtree is now owned by ebay too. ( already had issues with my paid posts being removed without even 1 email notice ) Hope someone will find this review useful. Peace 2 all”

“Terrible absolutely terrible platform. It’s no longer a great place to sell from. The EBay fees and lack of Communication and safety for sellers is no longer available. I refuse to sell anything with eBay anymore. On and eBay bucks good luck being able to use those lies. They took away anyway to contact anyone and they have. Made it so that anyone can con you into losing more money just by being a liar. Absolutely HORRIBLE. Oh and they took away the fastest way of getting paid when you sell something. Takes up to 5 days to get paid now.”

“I am, or I should say was, a first time eBay customer. I set up my a account. I went back to their site the next day, and now I'm not aloud to sign in. States I don't know my password. I used their chat method of contact for a week trying to get help. That was a waste of time and energy. I tried to call. Of course you can't talk to a live person. It just refers you to a help site that brings you back to the chat method of contact. My issue has yet to be resolved, and the eBay staff just don't seem to want to help. I feel bad for the sellers on this site. I have something in my box I need to pay for & can't all over a password and the lack of the eBay staff being able to assist. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this site to anyone.”

“Please do not sell anything on ebay!!! Especially watches jewelry or anything worth real money. They pretty much allow buyers to ROB sellers and i mean ROB!!!! And paypal is in the same boat. If an item gets lost in the mail you pay, if a buyer blatantly damages your item then tries to blame it on you even when your pictures show a perfect item YOU PAY. Buyer claims he got an empty box YOU PAY! What i will suggest is make sure you have paypal take funds from a bank account and when funds are received transfer automatically to your bank. This way you can make a claim feom your bank. But ebay is getting smarter they now are rolling out this plan to manage payments for sellers basically they are the new paypal, so it may be easier to make a bank claim but iam sure the reason for this is to just screw the sellers one way or the other.”

“From my experience, it's an ok site to buy from. Too many problems however, when you are selling. Trust me, it is definitely not worth trying to sell your stuff on Ebay.”

“I wished I could give a ZERO! Expensive, lacks seller support, provides services that doesn't guarantee, poor customer service, and there isn't enougt space to mention it all. I have recently started selling on Ebay against my friends advice only to be proven the same things they had experienced with Ebay. The postage was acquired via Ebay and they don't care if the service they advertise actually works or not, just the money. When parcels are lost or damaged by the carrier, Ebay says that it is down to the carrier and the carrier says its down to Ebay. I am out of pocket in the hundreds and not able to get my money back. Furthermore, Ebay stopped me from carrying on selling as they don't want nor interested in sorting out this issues. Awfull experience. Please let as many people aware of this and other experiances like this. Source another selling platform as this is a con!”

“I tried to list some face masks on ebay which were surplus to requirement as bought for my business,which has now had to close due to virus ebay kept taking my listing down even though my price was much lower than others selling exactly the same items, I contacted them by chat to have a very rude attitude, I then asked for a a call, basically it boils down to it is ebay decision who they let sell, they couldn't share the information with me on how they come to their conclusion, I have looked at other sellers and threads on this matter and seems to be if you are a large company or corporation you can, if not you can't, so my conclusion is that ebay are allowing the rich to profit through a world pandemic so they also can profiteer to a large degree, they basically told me they had no obligation to answer any of my questions on thier discrimination, so shame on ebay their are people selling cheap bad quality products at extortionate prices and eBay are allowing this for thier own gain, may I add some of these sellers are new, I have been a member from 2012. Absolutely shameful from this Company. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING AND NO ONE CAN STOP THEM FROM DOING IT.”

“Issue with seller not wanting to refund the shipping amount to return an item that the seller described and shipped was incorrect, I informed seller and received a refund for the item but would not respond to any of my messages to refund the shipping payment. Customer service gave a total run around.”

“I have to vent about Ebay. They do not stand behind their word. They always say they stand behind their guarantee, but that is not true. I ordered an item and then sent it back for refund. The seller never did refund my money. I wrote the seller about the refund and he used all kind of excuses for not giving me my refund. One of which, was he said I sent it back to wrong address. Impossible!! I sent it back to address on the package in which it was sent. He also used some very vulgar language.He called me a bad name. I contacted Ebay about this and they never acknowledged my concern. Needless to say, I never got my refund or heard from Ebay. Believe me people, Ebay only cares about the sellers, not the buyers. I will Never deal with Ebay again. P. S. The seller also used price gouging on me. Price gouging and vulgarity is supposed to be against Ebays policies. That's a Laugh!!”
