First of all, it was difficult to ascertain whether the item was powered by mains or USB, Then when i was ready to buy, your system did not recognise my old account and password. I had to create a new one. Then when trying to pay with my credit card it took ages getting the card authenticated. All in all, the purchase should have taken about 5 minutes but in the end it took about an hour and i still haven't received a proper confirmation!

I run an IT business and use eBuyer a lot, if there was a good alternative I would use them instead. You get what you pay for. Most cheaper items are from unknown brands, and apart from a couple of good exceptions, are often poor quality. Items often break or become defective, and, as a trade buyer eBuyer refuse to accept the items back for exchange or refund, leaving me to deal with manufacturers own warranty procedures. In some cases, the manufacturers are difficult, even impossible to find. In one case, of a PNY memory module, PNY actually contacted eBuyer on my behalf to force them to accept the return! Their delivery services are a joke. I usually use the 5 day free delivery because it's the only one that's reliable. In most cases, a single order is split into many separate deliveries, in one case an order with 5 items arrived in 5 separate deliveries from several different couriers. If you are out, that could be 5 different trips to a depot to collect an item if you miss the delivery. eBuyer could easily streamline this process to save you money, or even boost their profits to the point where they could provide a decent service to the consumer. If I need an item urgently, I occasionally have to order next day, or for a specific day. In this case it's rare the order arrives on time. They seem to pick couriers at random out of a hat each time you order. My current order for example was ordered for delivery on a Tuesday. I had an email confirmation on the Friday telling me it had been dispatched. It's now Wednesday, no sign of my order, and because eBuyer saved a few pennies using a courier with NO TRACKING, they refuse to take any action until tomorrow, so it's now taken a week to not receive an order that was supposed to have been delivered in 2 days. My advice, if you can find an alternative, do so.

I've been asked to leave a review in order to win an ipad 3. I'm not expecting to win it as the competition closed in November 2013, and it's now the 14th of January 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was confused after I ordered my item, as I was in the feedback section and it mentioned that my first order has to be delivered to my billing address. As I wanted to get it delivered to my work addres, I cancelled the order as I wasn't sure where it would go! I did ring the customer help line and the lady there mentioned it can be delivered to any address. Still confused and reordered. Guess I will see in the next few days where it will end up...

The web site just could not understand that I wanted it delivered to the delivery address I asked for, so it's gone to my invoice address. Hope my ex gives it back!

Prices were good, i haven't received them yet but makes seem good so expecting quality. All was well until the payment process, it has taken nearly 30 minutes to get through checkout, trying to add a new address took 4 attempts. Then the price changed and i had to go right back to the start of the process again as it was trying to add on delivery costs it shouldn't Get that process sorted out and the review would be much higher

eBuyer used to be fantastic/ However the recent introduction of Yodel has made them unreliable. I now only use them for non-essentials. Previously the delivery methods were 100% reliable. Now there is no choice who delivers it. If we had the option to select R.M. or Yodel for the free delievery that would be better, I can quite happily collect from my sorting office. Yodel are the WORST courier company in the UK. I will NEVER use eBuyer again for anything that is valuable (they break shipments or lie about them being delivered) or that is time critical.

Great for choice, price and delivery but be prepared for disappointment, frustration, multiple phone calls and emails and systems that simply don't work if you need to return anything.

Lost password facility is really poor. I'm not a regular customer but have used Ebuyer on a couple of occasions before. When you forget your password, it asks you for your date of birth. Now, this is something I do not normally provide for online shopping as it is a potential security risk. If Ebuyer gets hacked, I do not want my details + data of birth to be out there. For that reason I never give my real dob when required to provide it. So I cannot get my password and have to create a whole new account on a new email address. Very poor design.

I have bought things from e buyer in the past with no problems, but on this occasion I had to go back track several times to get free postage.

The website was very good for finding and choosing the items I wanted and all seemed fine until a day or two after I placed my order when I received emails to say that my order had been cancelled because of the need for a security check. I was annoyed because I had told my children the latest expected delivery date for their new laptop and they were clearly now going to be disappointed. Also the new delivery date would be when I was back at work so was not so convenient. Had there been any warning that this security check might be required I would have avoided creating expectations and would have checked my emails regularly: as it was I had no idea this might happen and did not check my email for several days unwittingly causing further delay. I am not entirely sure why a security check is needed because I believe that my credit card company protects me against fraud and I was not comfortable about sending the ID required, however, the thought of having to go through the hastle of reordering and concern that without the help of my computer savvy brother-in-law I might end up purchasing the wrong thing led me to cooperate with the security check. I then received another email saying that I had not sent all the necessary info: apparently the instruction to send "A scanned colour copy of the full picture page of your passport OR picture card of your UK drivers licence along with your passport or drivers licence number." means that I have to send scanned copies of both my passport and drivers licence - so why is there an "OR" in there? I rang the company to check this and they were insistent: I conclude that either someone made a mistake and didn't want to admit it or the instruction is misleading. At last I received an email to say that I could now reorder the items, however the company really doesn't make it easy as there seems to be no simple way to reactivate an order. As far as I could work out I had to go right through the system again AND I ended up having to pay an extra £5 which is outrageous AND I can now expect delivery at least four days after originally anticipated. The only reason I stuck with it was because my brother-in-law had helped me choose equipment when I had no idea where to start and I was worried that I would make a mistake if I tried reordering from someone else when he couldn't be around to help. In conclusion I shall try to avoid using ebuyer.com again.

Ebuyer is one of my favourite suppliers and have used them many times in the past. However, was really dissapointed this time to find there had been changes to the web site. There are stages within the purchasing process that screens are not updated and no information is displayed on the screen. It took almost 1 minute for my basket to be loaded. Thought this may be useful information as other customers may be tempted to buy elsewhere. In saying this the quality of all the products I have received and the customer service have always been excellent. Therefore it's over to your website developer for a few wee adjustments.

Hi Gillian, Thank you for leaving a review for Ebuyer.com. I'm sorry to hear you have been disappointed with the website on this occasion. I have not been made aware of any issues with the website so I will of course pass this comment over to the development team so they can look into this for us. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Kind Regards, Lucy

I was recommended by my nephew to use ebuyer.com and engaged his services in selecting my 'shopping list' of PC components. The actual process of device selection was extremely good but the payment process was protracted and difficult; resulting in being timed-out by e-buyer on a couple of occasions and losing the quotation on the second ocassion resulting in my having to re-select the entire order and re-submitting again. Disappointed to be offered a free upgrade if I chose next day delivery only to be told at checkout that item is now not available. If you haven't got it then don't offer it! not impressed.

Responded to an email ad but could not find the item advertised. Registering made difficult by time out disconnections.

for 2 months I am offered free delivery. I try to order supersaver delivery for next week and the system defaults to free next day delivery. i try to pay with paypal and it changes to 48 hour delivery with an extra £4.99! It took 3 attempts to get what I was originally trying to order.Good job the products are usually spot on because the system isn't!
