We were a group of 7 males aged between 36 and 42 who were booked into Newcastle Airport Lounge. Upon arrival at the Executive Lounge, rather than be greeted courteously by reception staff, we were asked if we were "a group of lads" and informed that "we don't usually let big groups in" and that there had been problems during the week prior to our visit. I found this attitude from staff to be less than welcoming and that we were being penalised for the actions of others. In terms of the food and drink available, there was a good selection of alcoholic drinks and bar staff were friendly and polite, in stark contrast to reception staff. The bacon sandwiches were not as impressive, with the buns only sliced halfway through resulting in a small amount of bacon and a lot of bun! In summary, this was the first time I had used the lounge and I would hesitate to return.

The range of snacks available was very limited, and now that children are permitted it was quite noisy, and not the relaxing atmosphere that we had expected.

Having used lounge previously at lunchtime we were amazed with the selection of food available so decided to book again for this trip with check-in 8am. So disappointed! No food available apart from crisps, no rolls, crackers, cheese so we had to leave lounge and buy breakfast in departure lounge. We had already paid good money to use Servisair Lounge so we're disappointed to have to pay extra for food and to leave lounge!

Lovely seating and overall layout however hot food was inedible and like a brick (rolls and bacon). I had to ask if there was diet coke as unable to take sugar, the ladies hadn't stocked up and and warm tins were given to me and they then filed the fridge. I've always enjoyed my stay at the lounge, but Aspire was disappointing this time. Perhaps they will be more on the ball next time.

Very disappointed with the choice of food at lunchtime. Had visited before and the choice was much better

We use the lounge every time we fly from Newcastle always on early morning flights when we arrived the Kiu fe had been open about 15 minutes and we had to queue for about twenty minutes to get in despite pre booking. Once in the lounge it was very dirty floor was full off food and crumbs which was confusing as it had just opened, despite the cleanliness problem food was constantly replenished and we still felt it was worth while going in

This is my first time using the lounge. The food was just ok and the comfort was not great because it was busy. The barman kept disappearing but I did get two beers!

We used the lounge on 8th June. We arrived just before 4am as our flight was due to depart at 6.40 am so we weren't actually going to get our full entitlement of 3 hours but we still prefer to use the lounges. However when it got to 4am the member of staff then proceeded to what looked like trying to log into her computer. There was obviously an issue because she kept trying but still hadn't opened the doors. There was now becoming a bit of a queue. It was just after 4.05 when the doors where eventually opened and the lady and her colleague eventually made the decision to manually record customer details as there was an issue with the systems. I found a table and my husband went to the bar to ask for drinks. Again there was well over a 5 minute wait whilst someone came out of the back to serve what was now becoming a queue. This is not the 1st time that we have encountered these issues at this lounge. In every job that I have worked in I am expected to be logged on and at my work station ready to serve customers at my shift start time not wait until shift start time to log on. Very disappointed once again.

We were very disappointed with the food and lack of service. The men's toilets had no toilet paper and the seat was broken. The food quality was poor.

Felt choice of food very limited. Tables were not being cleared/cleaned quickly enough, but it was quite busy. Staff pleasant and polite. Do not really think it was value for money. Having emailed prior to arrival that one adult in our party was disabled, was given reply email saying a table would be reserved. On presenting said email to staff on arrival, they seemed to know little about the request, and sent a staff member ahead of us, to ask a passenger already in the lounge to vacate his table because of our arrival. This made us feel a little awkward.. Probably would think twice before booking again.

The welcome we received was cold and uninterested. Despite having a confirmation email we were not booked in and told we could not enter and it was almost too much effort for the woman to look back through the booking records. There was almost no food left and it took over an hour to be replenished. Lounge was comfortable, Coffee was good and drinks selection was ok.

After paying so much for the Plus lounge I am naturally dissatisfied that I had to seek out attendance from staff in the adjoining standard VIP lounge. Also; Despite only 2 other people being in the lounge (approx 7am) one table that had previously been used remained dirty throughout our stay. Finally; the bar could only provide us with one drink of Prosecco as they had no further stored bottles. Altogether a very disappointing visit to a VIP lounge and perhaps it might be our last

The lounge whilst bigger than the previous one was still very basic. Food selection and choice was very limited and rly didn't look appetising at all. Nothing for children at all. We had a morning flight and food should change relevant to the time of day. We would of liked breakfast choices, fruit, cereal, pastries, toast. Really should offer a relevant hot food option like a bacon or sausage sandwich. In general it was quite disappointing. Especially when comparing it to even small airports like Luton, who's lounge was far superior.

Was very unimpressed with the seating, air conditioning, cleanliness and lack of toilet facilities. Food was very limited. In fact the whole experience felt like we were in one of the near by restaurants or bar, the main difference would have been the cleanliness of the tables, clear your own table seemed to be the order of the day

While there was plenty of choice of drink there was very little food on offer and only 1 staff and computer working so had a cue of up to 30 people trying to get in to get there 3 hours worth

On our visit service was pretty poor, we had to wait quite a while for bacon sandwiches etc, the lounge was extremely busy, however as most people book online then I am sure that you would be aware of how busy your to be & therefore accommodate for this.

but for what we paid for the lounge there was very few things to eat-no selection- only pasta, soup, little selection of salad and cheddar cheese-really disappointed . Honestly didn't feel at all it was value for money - so overcrowded!! Food itself was of poor quality and limited selection
