Told I may have to stand on arrival. Informed the comfortable section of the lounge had been reserved for selected Singapore airlines customers. Breakfast buffet not replenished. Essentially I paid £20 for an uncomfortable seat.

Very few seats available. Chairs very hard and uncomfortable. Warm breakfast rolls and croissants would have been nice - instead of fairly firm cold white rolls. All in all certainly not worth £44 for two.

It was totally over crowded with not many places for 2 people to sit together. Food was very basic. We had one drink then left so not good value for money.

There was nowhere to sit, no papers or magazines, there were at lease 3 people sleeping taking up 3 seats at a time in a very small area. The staff in the bar area were talking behind the door and they could see us waiting but continued. Compared to other lounges it was the worst. Was expecting better for such a new terminal. Was not worth the money.

There is not realy a useable restroom, the breakfast-offer was very poor and the aircondition so much cold, that we had been realy happy as we did reach our plane.

When arriving at the front desk we were told this was a busy lounge and no seats were available and we would have to stand!! When entering the lounge it was completely full no tables or chairs! Why to expect people to pay to go and stand in an over crowded room is beyond me! Food was very poor only bacon and scramble egg (which was like rubber) and the buns were dry! Staff rather rude and not welcoming at all. We left the lounge and had more comfortable surrounding and better service at another place in the airport. We were very disappointed and the worst lounge we have been to so we will not be using it again and will advise others to do the same.

Very busy ! No where to sit on entering and very cramped space Surly staff at the bar and I witnessed them being very rude and unhelpful to a mum of 2 small children who was having to sit at the bar due to lack of seating, she asked the bar lady to move a bowl of peanuts as her son had a severe peanut allergy and the staff would not remove them and suggested the mother move !!! Appalling customer service Terrible value for money and will not book again.

I was very disappointed with Aspire lounge. Only food available we salad (which did not look very appetising), vegatable curry. We was told we had to wait 10 minutes for pasta to be brought out. As we had arrived late due to an accident we didn’t have time to wait so we left to get a sandwich from boots. We didn’t even get a drink as the bar was very busy with just one person tending it. I will not be going to Aspire again...

I booked the lounge and when I arrived after security I was informed that the lounge was closing in 30 plus minutes and my flight was not until 21-30 pm So I then had to move to the normal lounge upstairs which was very busy and noisy. I paid £22 for this and even the very pleasant staff were concerned and stated I should request a refund.

Rude, disinterested staff started a disappointing visit from start to finish. The lounge was cold, not cool, cold as was the buffet breakfast. Staff were shouting to each other from bar to kitchen to front desk. The range of products available have reduced too. No crisps, nuts or cake. The drinks bar was not manned and when noticed waiting for a drink, brought a roll of the eye. When asked if there was any decaf coffee I was told to look around the lounge as there might be some somewhere! I booked for our party of 6 and wouldn’t book again

The staff at the Aspire lounge Newcastle look so unhappy and struggled to raise a smile when greeting customers. They chatted amongst themselves and completely ignored our presence when we arrived. We are going on holiday for goodness sake and expect a smile and polite greeting at the very least. We were eventually directed to the left without any acknowledgement as to whether we had been before, what was on offer, where to sit etc. The selection of food is really poor and there wasn’t enough of it and the availability of drinks and drinks selection don’t compare to other lounges we have used in the recent past. The seating is not at all comfortable either. Don’t put cookies in a jar for every child to finger every time they wish to take one and place food items where they can be supervised by staff rather than in a corner out of the way. The biscuit tongs were dropped on the floor twice in the hour and a half we were in there and placed back on the counter without any form of cleaning. Disgusting. There was no hot water in the female toilets and they were dirty! The hand drier did not work either. The Wi-fi was awful - complete waste of time and judging by the general conversation within the lounge we were not alone. At just under £100 for 4 people it is poor value for money and we won’t be returning. Have used Stansted’s lounge 3 times this year and, disappointingly, it is far better than the Aspire lounge Newcastle and is frequented by much bigger numbers of guests.

The receptionist was very helpful and booked me in without a hitch, unfortunately there were not enough comfortable chairs to relax, the carpets were absoloutly filthy and the only food on offer was some warm dried up pasta , a few crisps and nuts, to top it all there were children tearing about shouting and screaming , there was no ice in the ice bucket and a very poor selection of glasses, will not be returning

It was nothing to do with lounge, we never managed to get there as there was a problem with the check in desk system we were there for over an hour and a halfa, it didn't open until late and just managed to catch our flight! Not a great start to our holiday especially as it was to celebrate a special birthday.
