The lounge is seriously in need of an overhaul. The choice of food was limited to say the least, some tuna sandwiches, peanuts and packets of soft crisps!! Not good value for. money.

Booked to start our honeymoon in style. There were no seats and we were told to make the best of it. There were absolutley no seats available after being told to try to find someone to share with. We had arrived in our booked timeslot. Surely the point of these lounges is to escape the general hustle and bustle. Eventually we were told we could sit it the private area for a specific airline, but that we would have to move if needed. Luckily we didnt need to. Had to again request a bottle that we had preordered to celebrate, it appeared not to have been listed. Breakfast was completley dried up and there was nothing else on offer, even upon request. Staff looked miserable. There were large families that also had no where to sit and eat and who were unfortunately not offered to come and sit in the area we had been put in, even though it was mostly empty for the duration of our visit. Not quite the start to our honeymoon we had in mind, after regularly booking into the Escape lounge and having a great experience each time. Really disappointed and would not use again or recommend to others

My husband and I have been going to the executive lounge for the last five years and never had any issues. After planning our honeymoon for two years, we booked the aspire lounge where we were refused entry due to our dress. The staff were incredibly rude and asked with an attitude whether we had something else to change into. When asking why, she merely pointed to a sign without speaking to us further. I explained it was our honeymoon and we had never had a problem before but she wasnt interested. When asking to speak with a manager i was told i couldn't and that i had to speak to someone on instant chat (no details provided) Having checked your website again, i find it absurd that i could sit in your lounge in a bikini or a mini skirt yet were refused entry because of tracksuit bottoms. Maybe it should be highlighted to customers when booking these lounges of a dress code! Had we have taken off our jumper and sat at a table, nobody would have known what trousers we had on. Instead i was visibly upset and rather embarrased to have been treated the way i had. A very upsetting start to our honeymoon! Will not both again

It was overbooked, crowded, no seats available for people. People had to sit on the floor. People had to share tables, we had to share our table with 6 other strangers, this was made up of a party of 4 with children, sharing 2 seats and another 2 people. The staff at best, I would rate as poor, they had no understanding, no direction and no one showed any leadership. You had a full area empty, reserved only for Singapore Airways, why? In my opinion, a member of the staff should have made a decision to use this area, instead they blamed the booking agents for overbooking the room. This is the worst experience we have had in any lounge in the world. It is a disgrace that money becomes before peoples comfort and the reason we pay for the lounge is to relax in an area away from overcrowding, on this occasion this did not happen and we certainly will think very carefully before using Aspire lounge again.

We have used cardiff airport lounge in the past and have always been satisfied but really not impressed this time with nothing more than crisps and sweet items to eat at only 11am in the morning. Not impressed with having to be served with drinks and staff making you feel that you shouldnt be asking for another ( even though we only had 3 all stay). Can somebody also tell me why nobody smiles who works in that lounge!

Customer Service was appalling. Waited at the entrance/check in desk for an eternity and was continually ignored by numerous staff members. Once inside, almost half of the lounge was closed off for specific airline customers. The ‘lounge’ is not really a lounge, it was far too ‘business like’ and uncomtfortable. The atmosphere was completely lacking with no entertainment on offer other than BBC News on a single screen at a level where you couldn’t even hear it. The bar service was slow and there were numerous published reminders ref. the fact that 3 alcoholic drinks were considered to be the limit. Would not recommend and will not be returning. Would prefer to sit in the main departure lounge where the likelihood is you eat/drink with better service and probably cheaper in comparison.

we were booked in to the wrong terminal and it was impossible to change on the spot. Thus our visit ended before it began. Disaster! You had the flight number. Why did you put us in the wrong terminal? Why is it impossible to change on the spot? Where is our refund?

The lounge was very crowded and had great difficulty in finding a seat. Had to queue for 35 minutes to order a drink. Although the staff were friendly and helpful were unable to cope with the amount of people in the lounge. There was a shortage of food and drinks had to be provided in whatever glasses were available. Overall a very poor experience for the money paid. This experience was not worth paying £25.00.

"Visited newcastle Aspire lounge last week. Thought we'd give it a try after our last visit 18 months ago. Terrible service, food disgusting and inedible. Felt like a prefab, no air and artificial lighting. Don't know why we wasted \u00a3 54 of our hard earned money. This is a total embarrassment for Newcastle Airport. Surely the management must read these reviews. I would strongly recommend that travellers do not start their journey here. Stop taking people's money under false pretences. We must have a case under the trade description act? "

We arrived at Glasgow Airport with an 8 year old girl very excited to be going to the executive lounge, when we arrived at the desk for the lounge we were turned away as it was full, we booked and paid his in advance and were looking forward to the experience, my little girl was really upset at this and cried at being turned away.

Virtually no seating, food and basic drinks. Not worth the money. If I fly from terminal 5 again. I will not be visiting the lounge

"After checking in and going to the lounge an alarm went off 30 mins in to our lounge, visit, we lost over an hour of our experience, after being taken out of the lounge into the airport. After they found the problem we had to go back through check in. The reason we took the vip was to hide from my sister who was traveling to Mexico with a party of 11 for her 60th birthday. We booked up without telling her, and stayed next to the airport at the Doubletree near Hilton hotel, so we could check in early, as we knew she was traveling down from Scotland. We had wanted to surprise her at the plane. Unfortunately we were spotted in our 2nd time through the checkout and our surprise was ruined. Not great, but things happen sometimes. But this ruined it for us. \r\nRegards James Cunningham. "

When my sister and I arrived, they were still cleaning and hoovering..we did not feel welcomed. We were asked to take a seat at one side..food provided did not take into account any dietary requirements such as vegetarian and gluten free option.. and to make it worst fruit available was only apples and oranges :-( I have been to other lounges but I have ever had a similar sad experience

Food was awful, not much of it and when I asked for a menu wasnt given one only to be told by the chef "we dont have much stuff, I can do you a burger"... What a waste of money.

Firstly was told by reception that my family’s tickets which j had paid over £70 for were not valid. Then after some argument, was given entry (I had my wife and two small children with me as well. There was no place to sit. And the men’s toilet was out of order. Completely unacceptable all round.

Everything! I will be sending an e mail and pictures shortly. In a few words bad service, dirty tables, food not replenished, no glasses, people turned away from Aspire because of over booking. A huge waste of money

Really poor experience when compared to other lounges I've used across the world, in fact it was the worst. Main items of note were: 1) arrived at lunchtime to find that there was no sandwiches or hot savoury food available. The only good available was clearly left over from breakfast ie cereal (yes cereal at lunchtime) and pastries. I did ask if this was all that was available and received a short sharp reply that it was. 2) no self service alcoholic drinks, had to wait at bar in most instances as not tended by a staff member. I've never experienced this before and wastes time as only in the lounge for short period and comes across as penny pinching. 3) crisps/nibbles in a communal bowl with a scoop to take what you want. Scoop not appropriate as you're unable to obtain the crisps an also crush them. In view of this people were using their hands which is unhygienic. Surely it's best, and usual, to have individual packets and again this comes across as penny pinching. 4) staff not very helpful and disinterested eg on a personal phone call making me wait. 5) poor selection of newspapers. Overall I was very disappointed as I had taken my parents with a view to starting our holiday in a nice environment but left feelin embarrassed. More than happy to discuss further on kristianrapson@hotmail.com. Thanks Kristian

Me and 4 of my friends went to the lounge none of us drink this is due to 3 of us compete at high level judo and are on the British rankings the other 2 chose not to drink. one of my friends laughed a couple of times a bit loud and a member of staff came over to explain could we kindly quiet down a little as (SHE IS GETTING THAT LOOK) from other passengers that was her exact words we said sorry but then she very rudely said to us also calm down on the drinking I explained we don't drink at all but she wasn't believing us. when we got to our gate the gate staff scanned our boarding cards and said we was now on the no fly list, then explained it's due to the lounge lucky enough though because we work at the airport for gal and the supervisor recognised us we was allowed on. I thought the actions of this lady in the lounge was very unprofessional and totally not needed. we will never be using the aspire lounge again I have never experienced this in the number one lounge which I usually use but fancied a cha he this time and I wouldn't want anyone else to experience it

No newspapers even at 10 am when we arrived and even at 13.00 when we left. WiFi signal kept dropping. Food choices poor but drinks available ok. For the plus service it had nothing plush about it.
