“Awful. takes ages for phone to answer. You have to tap in policy number, date of birth, postcode - and then they still ask for all the details again. And again, and again - as they pass you around and noone knows what they are doing.
after 20 mins I was back in a queue because the guy didnt understand what I wanted. Admiral - wake up - these are your procedures. It is not for your customers to understand. I wanted to renew my insurance. apparently that didn't require 'renewals' because I was joining another policy I have with you. So I had to queue for Customer Service - and then repeat all my information - and the guy still didnt get it.

“I would describe this company as thieves.... Basically they take your money and ensure that you get no service when you need it... Just to give some context, a delivery van reversed into our car, parked on the driveway... They refused to let us use a BMW garage (we have an M4 so the we wanted to make sure it would not lose value), Admiral would not claim on the delivery company even though we had footage etc. They wanted us to make a claim and affect out NCB + declare on next insurance subscription that we made a claim. So we had to sort everything out ourselves with the delivery insurance... So basically Admiral may as well not exist. A week later, we had another issue with our second car, and they refused to count it as not our fault (we got undertaken on a motorway...), they put a trike against the wrong driver and there was nothing we could do about how they counted it. I just won't ever get back with them, I hate them so much. We also had friends who had issues with them, really wish I had listened to them now...”
“DO NOT INSURE YOUR SELF WITH ADMIRAL.
My vehicle was stolen over 3 months ago and I have a crime number from the police and CCTV to prove my vehicle was stolen in the early hours of the morning. I sent them all the details they required within the first 7 days of the incident.
ADMIRAL HAVE STILL NOT PAID ME OUT.
They do not seem to care about me as a customer and do not contact me to keep me up to date. I have repeatedly sent emails and called them but they make up different excuses all the time. I am unable to buy a new van for my business as they have not paid me yet so it is costing me a lot of money to hire a van temporarily. I'm sure they would have resolved this issue if I was covered for a courtesy vehicle from them if my vehicle was stolen but I wasn't covered for this.
DO NOT INSURE YOUR SELF WITH ADMIRAL.
I would rather pay extra and get insured by someone who cares for there customers.”

I was treated like a criminal trying to say I made it out like it was stolen. When I was attacked at the car keys taken and the car later found crashed, police took forever as well to get the DNA results. Finally proved I was not the driver they closed the case June 2019.
Admiral still refuse to pay out until they get a full report. Someone please explain to me how it takes 4 months to get something sent across?
In all that time I have been paying £490 a month for the car. I'am paying for a car I have not had nearly for 13 months. Its really made my life stressful and affected my health.
My new car I made sure I stayed well away from Admiral and I also got my parents to change over as well.”

“Had the worst experience ever with Admiral Insurance. After we were involved in a crash, their "investigator" failed to get CCTV footage that showed the other driver was liable. They then said that their investigation was based on photos both drivers supplied and Google Maps. Admiral then rolled over and said that I was fully liable, rather than sharing equal responsibility because they had failed to obtain the CCTV footage. Not to be trusted.”
“I suspect that those of you that are giving Admiral 4 or 5 stars are basing it on the fact that you got a cheap quote? Admiral are hopeless in the event of a claim:
Poor Payout - Bottom book values that they will not negotiate with you - you will end up out of pocket. Even if the claim is via a 3rd party and not your fault!
Poor customer service: Rude arrogant and incompetent staff. Bullying tactics are used. Particularly when they have collected your car - that you cant get back....
Ive been waiting 8 weeks for a payout. No car, no money, no courtesy car. They are pathetic.
Please avoid. You wiull be glad you did if you are unlucky enough to need to claim.”
“I had been a loyal customer with Admiral for several years. I thought that they were a professional company. This is indeed not the case and becomes immediately apparrent as soon as you need to make a claim. Please avoid. they are cheap for a reason. The expense will come if you need to claim:
Less than bottom book payout - no room for negotatiation.
Will not allow you to buy the slavage back - so if you have a car that you want to keep / repair dont let them take it.
Good luck getting a courtesy car.
Best advice is not to use them. The Ryanair of car insurance. And that unfair to Ryanair.”
