I needed help and the phone number given said that my policy number is wrong and they would not connect me. DO not use them. THey took my money and now they are not interested, I would rather pay more than deal with them ever again

This company is a nightmare! I still haven't had my documents emailed to me and I's impossible to get through on the phone. I made 6 attempts over 3 days. Finally I got through only to be kept listening to music for 31 minutes then gave up. I still have no documents! Am trying for a refund but am expecting nightmare number 2!

Avoid ! Telephone number rarely works! They didn’t fulfil all repairs in a non fault accident! They took over 6 weeks to contact me about my injuries after 3 hour long calls ! The money I saved insuring with them was definitely wasted in time after the accident! I would stick to major insurance companies this is the first time I’ve changed in 16 years ! Cheap insurance is cheap for a reason !

I set up a policy payed my initial payment. After policy had been confirmed and the money had gone through general accident then canceled my policy and didn't send my payment back

Customer services took 2 months to propose a solution to a simple problem related to payment. Despite paying the full amount on time they still cancelled the policy & went radiosilent. Only contactable via email

After two years of being insured they cancelled the insurance as it lapsed at midnight 19 Feb when the policy did not run out until 20 Feb. A common mistake, I tried to ring at 8am 20 Feb. having returned from holiday yesterday, but they would not accept this and stated a new quote required. I would not recommend this as those companies who value loyalty ring or email to ensure we do not want to renew. Also it is hard to keep track of automatically renewals so they at least should have honoured quote. Poor customer service.

Dreadful service!!! No reply to my emails, no assistance with a claim, no-one answers the phone!! I had to deal with the third party insurers myself. Avoid at all cost!

SERIOUSLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!! What I found most annoying is that this company will only deal with you 28days after you have started your policy and 28days before it’s due renewal. Any date out of this there is no way of contacting general accident as your policy number is not recognised when typed in. I had recently broken down and had no way of contacting my insurance to see about break down cover as explained above the company refuse to deal with you unless it is 28days after your policy starts or 28days before renewal. Reduculious. Again would not recommend atall.

Terrible service, if you would like an insurance company that only works for new customers then here’s the one for you. If you need to contact them you would be better using a pigeon messenger as you will next get contact details to speak to a person. Also they have increase my charges on my policy without letting me know. Avoid

Useless company.... if somebody crashes into you while you are stationary, they will happily pay out to the person who crashed into you even though the third party were 100% at fault, and if - months later - the third party suddenly ‘decide’ that they were injured in the incident then General Accident will pay out on that too even though the so called injury is clearly bogus. The result is that your insurance will be more expensive the next time round, thus generating more money for the insurance company just to lazily pay out rather than counter the false claims! Hence the fact than car insurance is so expensive. Probably none of the other companies are any better mind you!

It's been nearly a week now and still no help from GA. He went down a sink hole after hitting water on the way to work. £1770 damage. And all the guy in claims said my son would loose 2 years no claims even though he has fully comp. Severn Trent said make a no fault claim against them but your claims guy (peter) said they would not bother because it would take too long to get the money off them. He is out off work now with no transport and can't attend college. Surely your legal team can get compensation for him so he can get back on the road. More time wasted the more his travel expence will increase. I think your company has been of now help at all, but you soon want to take £900+ from him each year.
