Worse insurance company ever... Poor customer service. Everything is directed not towards the customer. No possibility of agreeing to terminate earlier, you will lost all you money... The initial insurance price is small, but in the end you will pay a lot. I really don’t recommend it.

Insured my bike online, websites a bit clunky and when entering card details it timed out so had to enter details again and I then found it took payment twice. Spent best part of an hour waiting for someone to answer the phone to help me out. The spirit crushing recorded messages suggested live chat as an alternative which I tried whilst waiting on the phone but no-one replied and message told me to try again later. Still waiting for the refund of the double payment, will set Visa on them if I have to. Not a good experience so far, did far better same day insuring my other bike with Swinton.

I was a customer and tried to renew online after 21:00 last week. all my details were the same but it had lapsed by 24hours. Been riding for over 30 years and never a claim or conviction. Wouldn't let me continue on line so had to phone them next day with the reference number (08400 number) when I got through the guy said I had to give him all the details again over the phone as the ref number was no good to him. He told me it was going to be £20 more than the online quote, I said why? he said because the month I bought my bike 10years ago was April on the online quote and I had said to him it was June over the phone. I told him to stick it and went elsewhere only to find I had an expensive 6 minuet phone call, BEWERE ITS AN 08400 PREMIUM NUMBER. Thats why they wanted me to phone

Avoid MCE at all cost. Because I have change my debit card and I thought they collect the insurance by direct debit like all decent businesses, they are trying to charge me over 110% penalty on a single payment, this is absolutely ridiculous. Customer service is also rude and unprofessional and act on a very unorganized manner. They live with charges that they extort from customers not from the insurance business. They are legal bullies! Do not buy anything from MCE Insurance no matter how cheap it is.

I sold my motorcycle and I had to call to cancel my insurance, I couldn’t do that bc they held me on the phone for over 40 min waiting for someone to help me... disgusting service

half hour on phone to try and talk to human being 35 minutes to try and Re ew policy on line as too complex I had 2 bikes to renew but couldn't on the on line application then couldn't get answer on phone so gave up with 2nd bike. Used to be 1st class now no class Am stuck abroad under covid and can't validate by downloading app as not on uk google till next month. won't use next year

Still waiting for a email with a policy after making two phone calls to customer services. Apply and payed for insurance three weeks before the renewal date and had four text messages stating the insurance is still expiring

I took out a policy yesterday, but they input the wrong number plate!!!! I tried to call but got stuck on hold for too long (I have to pay for the phone call), so I decided to use the online chat to get this sorted. Jonathan told me I need to call the number, ignoring what I had just said. I asked if someone could call me back or email me, as I cannot afford to make premium calls. I received no response for 20 minutes and then the chat was closed. Terrible customer service, would have had more success drawing blood from a stone.

The fact I can’t put 0 stars Is just taking the mick out of me .. ! !!! DONT USE THESE !!! I had a accident 2 weeks ago where I nearly died . Bike was a total loss (fire damaged) , Insurance voided my policy upon me putting in my claim , as my sheds not made of Brick ...... Yes my shed🤦🏻‍♂️ even though my claim was for a FIRE related incident , in a ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENT 30miles from my house . Genuinely DO NO USE THESE . Money is they’re only INTENT

It’s impossible to get a quote even though we had insurance for the last year with you, phone calls are charged I was on hold so long it used all my credit and I still didn’t speak to anyone. Live chat is a total waste of time and can’t help with anything. I’ve had to go on a comparison website and use a different company as it’s impossible to renew bike insurance with you. 1 very disappointed customer who will not be recommending you to friends or family.

Tried to renew my cover from the link in the email but I needed to fill out all my details again and start from scratch. Tried to solve it by online chat, total waste of 35 minutes. Tried emailing but no answer. Tried phoning but got fed up of waiting. Searched comparethemarket and got it through you £45 cheaper than the renewal quote. How does that work?

Phoned 25+ times over 3 days..... on hold for over 20+ mins each time. On-line chat - useless. "you need to speak to sales"....yeah i,ve tried 25 times already thanks. Dont think i,ll renew next year tbh....getting more expensive each year.

I had to ring to confirm some details. I used the number provided not realising it was a premium rate number. I was kept on hold for over 45 minutes meaning I was charged over £28 for the call. I entered webchat to ask about this and was just told “sorry we are really busy”. When I asked how I could make a formal complaint I was mysteriously dumped out of the session. It would seem that they are very good at taking payments, not so good at talking!

Those phone calls,and the servise is just god damn dogshit. Fck u very much.i ve been waiting in outside for 25 min in the call phone,2 times.and when finally somebody answeared to the phone call,they cannot fcking understand the GoD Damn postcode.asking me:,,sir...do u understand english.?" Like u have mental issues?im waiting 25 god damn min for making a payment thats is about 2 sec,and u cannot understand a fcking postcode,and also, closing the phone call.smart.

Absolutely shocking customer services and spent over 2 hours waiting for one to answer. I tried their online chatline and they told me they could not help me so call up their colleagues. Easy enough to fill in their form online but when you have any issue that requires you having to talk to someone - beware. I would certainly avoid this company and use as reputable one instead.
