While I don’t really know what kind of company you are when it comes to making a claim, I was very disappointed with the renewal process. You took the money out a week before which we weren’t expecting as we don’t read every email sent so more notification is needed and We had actually requested that we didn’t have auto renewal when we bought it originally but that made no difference, you still claimed we did. Very poor

Have been more than happy with policy expert for past 2 years, no complaints. But our renewal price was extortiately more than it's rivals and they weren't able to reduce their price. Have therefore reluctantly changed .

Good morning, I am sorry to hear that your policy premium increased at renewal. Unfortunately, even if you have not claimed, an increase is sometimes unavoidable. This can be due to various things such as general inflation, underwriting criteria changing, Insurance Premium Tax increasing and so on. Good product, would be better if you didn't get umpteen phone calls trying to get you to renew all the time. Some people don't appreciate the "hard sell"

It would be nice to have the option to change the policy instead of taking out the legal cover and charging more for the policy.

As a valued customer I would expect the best value for money to be offered when my renewal is due but as with most insurance companies i had to threaten to go elsewhere before I was given a competitive quote.

Good afternoon, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. A confirmation of purchase email is automatically sent at the point of purchase but I have sent you out a copy of your policy documents today, they will be with you within 3-5 working days. When you are within 30 days of the expiry date of your policy we will send you out your renewal invite, if you do not wish to renew all you have to do is respond to confirm this. No issues once I'd connected to chat over my renewal quote. They were very generous and offered me free home emergency cover, reduced my excess and somehow manged to reduce the price! I only wish they had the common decency and respect to have done this in the first instance rather than trying to blindly rob me with a ridiculous inflated renewal.

My original quote was very competitive but successive renewals have become increasingly disappointing. More annoying is the fact that 'Policy Expert' insists on holding my credit card details 'for convenience at renewal'. Sorry folks but rather than being convenient, I find it a bloody cheek and unless you reign in your quotes a bit, this will be the last renewal you get from me.

I am sorry to hear your premium has increased slightly over the years, this could be down to the increase in insurance premium tax, inflation or a change in the risk of the property. 30 days prior to the renewal of your policy we would always send out your renewal invite stating the proposed cover, premium, etc. This allows you time to review the renewal and shop around if required. It also allows our customers a month to make any required changes or opt out of renewing. Good morning, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. Around 30 days prior to the expiry date of your policy we send out your renewal invite. This correspondence states your renewal price, cover, how to opt out, etc. If your policy is due to auto renew you don't need to do anything further which is why your policy would have auto-renewed. I have checked your account and can see this renewal invite was in fact sent to the registered email address on your account. I am happy with the renewal price, and had all but made my decision to stay another year. My mind was finally made up by receiving an e-mail on 20/11 saying the premium due 25/11 was in the process of being taken from my card. Next renewal I will make a point of looking elsewhere in good time, however competitive the renewal quote, as I think this amounts to sharp practice on Policy Expert`s part.

Good afternoon, Thanks for leaving a review. We send out our renewal invites around 30 days prior to the expiry of the policy, allowing you time to shop around or opt out if required. As stated within the renewal invite we take the payment in the week prior to expiry so that if there are any issues with payment or processing we have adequate time to rectify the problem without leaving any gaps in cover. A lot of wasted time getting through & then asking a lot of questions you already knew the answers too. Forget your computers & get back to the old ways for good old fashioned workings !

Initially when I received my renewal notice I could only see …….. increase in renewal on last year increase in excess on last year decrease in cover (home emergency) Not a good start, however Upon talking to one of your advisors he was able to satisfy my issues so I accepted his resolve.

Would not cover me and transfer my insurance to new property, told i would have to cancel and encurr admin fee unnecessarily
