About Geeks on Wheels:

Geeks on Wheels is a mobile computer support and repair task force. We travel to your home or office to fix troublesome technology and help solve your computer problems.

We have staff based across New Zealand in Auckland, Hamilton, Cambridge, Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupō, Hawke's Bay, New Plymouth, Kapiti Coast, Wellington, Palmerston North, Nelson, Christchurch, Ashburton, Dunedin and Invercargill.

Here at Geeks on Wheels, we have spent over two decades assisting New Zealanders with their IT needs – we take the stress and frustration out of tech repair, malware removal and everything in between, so you can enjoy your laptop, computer, smart TV, Wi-Fi network and other technology, exactly as you are meant to.

“The conversation I had with the call centre lead me to believe my battery could be replaced within 1-2 days and my laptop returned to me. However, it took 6 days and resulted in the technician needing to drop off my laptop on a public holiday. I am very grateful to him for doing this, but perhaps there needs to be better communication between the call centre and the technicians so that the expected time for the job is clear to the customer before they commit. The call centre also gave me the impression that the battery should be able to be replaced within the 1hr call out fee. However, I was charged this fee, plus 1.5hrs extra. Again, the call centre set an expectation that was not met. Perhaps there can be improved knowledge articles regarding common thin gs like battery replacements that the call centre can refer to.”

“When I called to book the appointment I advised we would need testing equipment. The chap who arrived didn’t have any, used my laptop to test connections, then advised it was likely the wiring was no good and I should forget the household connection and go for a plug in mesh blanket device - that I would need 3. $299 for first one, $199 for second, and $99 for third. I ended up spending 4 hours checking each port in the house myself and getting it worked out. It now runs smoothly. I am annoyed that this joker thought he could just walk in and sell me a system I don’t need, didn’t come prepared and didn’t actually solve anything. I won’t be using this service again.”
