Why,( allegedly ) are Halfords drivers in Scotland being treated differently than their counterparts in England?Lower hourly rates of pay.No overtime rates, less holidays per year?? Same drivers who worked through this Pandemic, making Halfords millions. What could possibly be the reasons there is NO PARITY.It is the same company with drivers north and south doing the same jobs??

New look Halfords. I have used Halfords for number of years. The latest experience I found went entering was a member of staff asking what I was looking for. This on its own was OK although I felt if I required help I would seek it myself. Once I informed the staff member I was guided to another member in the cleaning product area which they gave me a sales spill on which (EXPENSIVE PRODUCTS) I required. I ask regards the chamey leathers. Which the sales assistant did not have a glue what I was talking about!!. A customer over hearing the conversation handed me the product.!!! Be it a new approach in selling. I had the experience of being forced in sales I didn't require. It would be helpful if the staff are approached from the customer rather then the other way round.

Bought some in car audio from the Charlton branch. The young man who served me, Liam, was a legend. Helpful and very knowledgeable. Spent extra time sourcing out of stock items in other branches and rang to get them reserved for me. Well done that man👍🏻👍🏻

Carrera bike purchase ! Had bike built my them - ten months passed and fairly trouble free until this month when strange squeaking was coming from crank , called Halfords and booked in - day off work and went to local store and they said it had two light buckles in both wheels , rear wheel bearing and poss bearings in crank ! Said I had to re-book for a repair and take bike with me and bring back again! All this was classed as wear and tear . Had gears adjusted and today the chain dropped behind rear cassette.was rudely treated on online chat and cut off after 35 mins on phone .

You reviewed Halfords Retail Add photo K&K Bates 2 reviews 1 star: Bad Just now Don't buy online line........ Death trap I brought a bike online to be built and delivered to me...... What a mistake that was. The first time I used the bike the handle bars started to fall forward, I was lucky this time as it didn't start to happen until I was work. I tightened the handle bars back into place and it was far for another two weeks. On the 21st September ( this was delivered the 24th August) I was riding my bike to work and the handle bars because loose and the threw me into the road. I was lucky the driver of the driving past was paying attention. After checking I was ok i looked at the bike and that's when I noticed they had become loose! I asked for someone to pick me up and take me to the Ashton shop. The guy there said he is shocked managed to ride this! So not only was the handle bars an issues, the brake where on to tight, the gear box wasn't set up correctly, some main bit of the bike wasn't tightened and one of the peddles wasn't put on correctly. I wouldn't bother calling their customer service, they are joke. So I email Halford and they asked for a report from the store. Now because the store has sorted out getting me a new bike they don't want to know about how I am! I did go to the hospital for a check up. The doctor said I'm lucky and just very bruised all over. Halfords are not interested in offering any kind of compensation for the day of work I missed because of their faulty bike or checking to see if I'm ok. The lad at the shop was so lovely and couldn't do enough, just a same the overall company doesn't give a dam about their customers.

unhelpful unfriendly untrained staff, highest priced products this brand is best avoided at all costs. I took my bike in for repair, had to cycle 9km to get there in the rain across fields. The bike was obviously covered in mud and i received it back three days later in the same state and with a further problem which wasn't the problem in the first place. Hopeless company avoid.

Firstly halfords are not sorry they give a terrible service, if they were they wouldnt have half the complaints that are on here. they employ poorly trained staff that deliver little or no service, at best they can only just muster a hello and their customer service is diabolical. i ordered something in, paid up front got fed up of waiting asked for a refund and was cut off on purpose because they would give me a reference refund number incase the payment was never refunded , hence i would have to proove i had rung up and had they given a ref number i could have used that to complain further with absolutely disgusting !! AVOID

I took my bike on to swap a chain. The mechanic barely managed to do this and broke my dropper seatpost on my ÂŁ4000 mountain bike on in the process right in front of my eyes!! They have claimed that it was like that when I brought it in. I know it wasn't. They have conjured up an excuse and have dug their heels in denying causing the damage. I have since had the problem fixed by competent mechanics at my own cost as Halfords refuse to take responsibility and pay for the repair. I will never set foot in Halfords in Hamilton again.

Having waited 3 weeks for a repair slot I was phoned the day before to say the only person who could do a relatively simple repair was self isolating and I can’t get another repair slot for another 22 days

I bought a stereo head unit from a branch in Leicester in July including fitting. I received numerous text reminders and on the day as well stating that fitting was ready. When I went some parts did not arrive so I was fuming and so cancelled my order. In August I bought another stereo head unit and booked for fitting today but at a different store in Leicester. So I phoned the Halfords phoneline yesterday just to confirm and was told that all was ok. I went this morning and guess what? Again they couldn't find my stereo. So again I cancelled my order. What a bunch of amateurs. Halfords management you need to employ better trained staff not just on the phone line but in store.

Awful experience. Turned us away for a bike rack fitting after we had booked online The booking itself took 3 hours of back and forth with an awful support team as you're not able to call the store directly, but apparently that was all for nothing anyway. After deciding to try and fit ourselves, the recommended rack for our car obscures the lights and the plate making it unusable. Patronising, unhelpful staff. Ruined weekend. Thanks Halfords!

Wanted a car trailer, halfords no longer keep them in store so had to order online. Promised delivery on the 30th August, no delivery. Phoned helpline/customer service number (Indian call centre) told to ring day after if it hadn’t arrived. No trailer so rang again to be told it was with the courier and would be delivered on the 3rd. Rang courier and they confirmed, had text message on the 3rd saying it was delayed, rang the courier and they said they don’t have the item in their warehouse so can’t deliver it, rang customer services again and got told it was with the courier!!!! What an absolute joke of a service!!!! Told them to cancel the order and return the money, had to wait for a ring back and got told it was too late to get it cancelled but they would see what when wrong and get it cancelled but could take over a week for my refund….. have cancelled the transaction with my credit card company and will NEVER use halfords again as absolutely shocking service

Purchase a e bike from these muppets battery should last 60 miles only managed 25miles, so I took the bike back to Halfords in Coalville at the start of July 21. To this day 24th August I still not got my e bike back.I telephoned their service department which is in South Africa several times with no answer to when my bike will be ready. So I’ve been into Halfords 3 times to see what’s happening and nobody knows where my bike is or been repaired or replaced. Such poor service from Halfords Steve Marsden

In April 2021 Halfords had a promotion whereby if you made a purchase in the store you would get a voucher for a free MOT which was valid until November 2021. I made my purchase and asked for the voucher, I was told it would be emailed to me. It never arrived, Over the next month or so I phoned the number on the receipt several times and was assured that they would pass my details to the store manager who would call me by the end of the day. They did not phone, ever. I also visited the store where I made the purchase (twice), again despite promises nothing happened. This went on for months, not once did they contact me. I finally demanded details of their complaints department an sent an email. They sent an arrogant, bordering on rude reply saying that the offer had expired in June 2021 and they would not be sending me a voucher. I sent them written proof that the promotion stated that the offer was valid until November 2021. They are now ignoring my emails and refusing to honour the offer. Their customer service is appalling and they deserve to be shamed for their action (or lack thereof).

Terrible service took a faulty e scooter back after 5 months of very little use they didn’t care ,didn’t want to help and just said it’s not our responsibility as it’s the manufacturer’s .Thought they could of at least tried to arrange repair at the manufacturer themselves very poor practices and poorly trained staff
