My arriving flight was delayed , I communicated this to them immediately via what’s app as the website would not allow me to change anything at the time . After communicating this and my new flight number to them , I still had my booking cancelled and had to pay again. They denied me refund saying that I did tell them about my delay . Even after I showed them the thread on what’s app the still refused to refund me . Not worth the savings they offer , complete rip offs .

Refund policy is a joke, by far the worst car hire company I’ve dealt with in over 40 years of travelling. Avoid if possible.

I rented a car from Klass Wagen in Budapest via Holiday Autos. Paid £90 for the car (a toyota igo) and 44 for excess waiver. When picked up the car, I was charged 156 pounds more, as Klass Wagen didn’t accept the excess waiver I purchased from Holiday Autos. I was told that HA had no right to sell Excess Waiver as the insurance policy holder are Klass Wagen not HA. I ended up paying 300 pounds for a tiny car. Very bad experience, and disappointed as the confirmation I received from Holiday Autos stated I had no payment to maek at pickup.

I was rented an EV (not requested). I had misgivings at rental office but was told chargers were available everywhere, not told they are inaccessible unless you have an account with a local energy company. Impossible for an American in Europe without a cellphone that works. Basically ruined my vacation in Tenerife that I had planned for many month. Unable to tour the island. I had to spend 3 hours a day in a supermarket parking lot using a free charger just to increase battery 6%.

Holiday Autos deactivated our booking before we could take it - and, on top of that, they didn't provide a phone number, i.e. we could not even ask them to activate it in time again. In short, never again Holiday Autos!

Credit card refund delay Booked a vehicle without realizing it was a pay-now deal. Cancelled 5 minutes later and was told it would take 10 days to refund my card. Six days and still no refund. Every other ethical company that refunds a credit card does it immediately.

I booked an estate car with a roof rack and once booked read that a roof rack might not be available. At the booking desk I was told there wasn't a roof rack but there should be a ski box. When I went to pick the car up there was neither available. An hour or so after returning the car I received the first of two emails asking for permission to debit my card for the roof rack hire. After the first email I replied and said I had not had a roof rack and included a photograph of the car. I have since emailed three times asking for a refund, the last being ignored. The original debit was within hours of returning the car and that was 11 days ago. This is not hassle free car hire as I am wasting my valuable time trying to get money back that was fraudulently taken. I have now run out of patience and intend to keep escalating the matter. I would also like to know why your website wouldn't allow me to place a review even though I had the right 9 digit booking reference.

Had to pay a premium overcharged extra insurance premium because car rental firm Goldcar would not accept Holiday Autos offering which was fully paid and all booked through them in advancr To add insult to injury they will not refund the mis sold product

Awful experience. Rented a car with green motion through holiday autos and they required all these extra fees that holiday autos did not mention prior to my booking. It was close to closing time so Green motion said theyll be cancelling and I should contact holidayautos for a refund. Holiday autos said there was nothing they could do and would not be refunding. I’ve sent them emails still with no response. I wouldn’t recommend them! Very dishonest company and bad service.

SO unhappy. booked a car: received confirmation, would be Peugeot 208, a car described as having "5 doors, room for 5 people, 2 suitcases." "OR SIMILAR". Fair enough, can't guarantee the model/make. Was given TINY Fiat 500. TOTAL JOKE. In what universe is a Fiat 500 REMOTELY similar to 5 doors/room for 5 people? Complained. Given total brush off. It's simply dishonest

Buyer beware. DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY.Booked a car for Cancun and-paid in full 2 months prior. Booked a luxury suv and of course, they only had inferior cars.car was booked thru holiday cars and assigned to Europa car. Refused to use the additional required insurance holiday cars sold us and. Told us if we didn’t buy their insurance for 750 dollar xtra for the week and leave a large deposit for the car plus the amount that was paid in full for over 900 dollars, we couldn’t have a car and that the xtra insurance we purchased thru the car rental was no good even though holiday rentals says it was.(had 3 different insurances plus a large deposit for the car.even called Holiday rental at the pick up center to clear things up and they said no refunds and too bad. They refused to help us and wouldn’t cancel the reservation or give any money back. Fraudulent car rental and car dealer.DO NOT REnt WITH HOLIDAY CAR RENTAL OR EUROPCAR. You will pay triple and have headaches with no help from anyone.Even if they tell you you are paid in full, do not believe anything they tell you. They will tell you anything to get your money and then you will have more money extorted from you when you are stuck at the rental car counter and switching last minute to another company is always twice or more the price at the airport.Book direct with companies you are familiar with. Europacar staff gave us contract in Spanish and when asked if they has a translation they said lady you are in Mexico…it's going to be a while if ever we go back to Mexico….. Every customer in their office was having the same issues with insurance. You are at their mercy.everyone was saying they were being scammed. When you turn in your car they tell you to complain to their customer service. Their customer service for holiday rentals is a joke and a scam. They have bots online too that ask questions and make it impossible to make a claim and then open and close the claim before you can explain. This company needs to be investigated and shut down. Their queries say problems resolved but they have very excuse why its not their fault. They open and close complaints with out full explanations. Car they rented us tires went flat everyday and the number they gave us for help was of no use.if you mistakenly rent from them don’t expect any assistance if you need it. FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD wescamu should be the name of their company.

I had a holiday car rental booked online through Holiday Autos on 16th December 2022 for 7 days in Malaga Aiport for an amount of £80. The Car hire provider DELPASO Car Hire has charged me for the excess insurance to release the rental car as the name on my credit card was not mentioned fully. When contacted Holiday Autos, they mentioned that they didn't have the terms and conditions mentioning the same regarding the name with abbreviations in their policy and asked to raise a case once the rental is returned and after returning the car on 29th December i have raised the case and they have come back with a response saying we can't do anything as it is their supplier's policy which was not clearly communicated.Stay away from these online thieves and their automated customer service and over the phone service was appalling.

Horrible experience. Avoid at all cost! Don't protect the customer when the rental company is trying to rip you off! We rented from Europcar trough Holiday Autos for $165 USD for our vacation in Mexico. Europcar told us if we want to decline the CDW Insurance, we must pay a fee (not an insurance ot taxes but an additional fee) of over $360 USD. The contract clearly states that I can deny their CDW but does not mention anything about an additional fee if I choose to do so. After spending 40 minutes international call with Holiday Autos, I was advised just to walk away and file a claim with Holiday Autos. It was a big pain to file a claim trough their automated chat bot. After going back and forth with multiple phone calls and email, they came up with all excuses to make it look like it is my fault that I didn't pay and that's why the car was not released to me. Absolute scam!

Horrible experience. Avoid at all cost! They cancelled our hire when our flight was delayed.. they ( the rental company not holiday autos) didn't contact us in any way to ask us what was happening or to check if we still needed the vehicle the just presumed and cancelled the contract. When we arrived the company (Target rent) they said the contract was cancelled by holiday autos and they couldn't help us. My retired motherland father and my wife and two kids were left without a solution. Horrible experience, and it was even harder hasthis company didn't have any sign post or directions to the office, we had to figure this out by Google search and to our amazement the office shut 2 hours early! We just caught them before they closed the door... I managed thankfully because I spoke the language but many people would have struggled to understand this situation. I contacted holiday autos to request my money back but they have refused stating they have to side with the rental company and they have to pay them.. something that is untrue as the woman at the rental office Target rent said that they did not cancel the contract holiday autos did and they do not get paid! So holiday autos are just stealing our money and not paying anyone.... Shameful terms and conditions that have been designed to steal from you if things go wrong... This was a rental at an airport for a holiday, delays are a foreseeable eventuality so cancelling this rental was poor practice and not finding a solution for us was horrible. We had to pay a massive amount of money in taxis and we did not get to do some of the things we would have liked to do because of this! I have contacted our bank to action a refund as I believe consumer rights trump company policies especially when you did not receive the goods or service promised!!! Over booking a service is not the consumers fault and not a good enough excuse not to have had a vehicle ready for our holiday!

Car booking for a week in Lisbon. There were several issues including in-correct collection information, failure to collect a broken down car and leaving us stranded at the offices at 6.30am waiting for a return transfer to the airport, which never materialised and we had to call an Uber. Holiday Autos were most un-helpful and advised it was not their problem. Do not book through them as the are only agents and will offer you no support.

The car was old and delivered full smell of cigarette. Ashtray probably smell nicer. A lot scratches. Boot needed to pushed harder to open. Next day gear stick ball came off. I was driving my kids in whilst the incident occurred. Needed to pull over to sort it out!!! Contacted the office. I have been told that it is normal for these type of cars!!!! I said I want replacement and they were not helpful at all. I have contacted holiday autos via whatsapp. The adviser did not help at all either!!!

BUYER BEWARE !!!! Reserving a vehicle thru Holiday Autos does not in any shape of form mean that you will be charged for your rental what Holiday Autos quoted you. I reserved an automobile at Mexico City Airport, and America Rentacar was the company that would provide the rental auto. My original quote from Holiday Autos was not honored by America Rentacar, and I ended paying about 4.5 times more. Furthermore, it took about 2 hors from the time I got in line at the counter to the time I received the rental. Upon returning the rental, it took about 1 hour to close the rental contract (from the time I got in line at the counter, to the time my contract was completely closed). I WILL NEVER (EVEN FOR FREE) GO BACK TO HOLIDAY AUTOS WEB SITE, AND CERATINLY NEVER EVEN CONSIDER AMERICA RENTALCAR.

We have just returned from Disney with a party of 10, so ordered a 12 Seater Mini bus from Holiday Autos back in June. When arriving at Orlando airport after a full 15 hours travelling we were told that Budget no longer had 12 seaters in their fleet of cars. We were offered 2- 7 seaters which was no help to us as we only had ONE Driver. So for the 3 weeks we were in Orlando we have had to make double the amount of trips backwards and forward to each place just to get everyone in our family to the right place. Now being home are being told that because we landed late that's why the 12 seater was not available for us, not that they DON'T DO 12 SEATERS anymore.The difference between a 7 and 12 seater is around £1000.00 if not more and that is what we won't refunded !!!! for all in inconvenience and having to except a much smaller car.

This company is a robbery! never ever rent from them. They cheat on customers and do not reimburse them while the car rental companies refuse to accept the cards of the customer as the warranty. The play on the fact that they need absolutely credit cards and they do not accept debit cards. In France we only have debit cards (that we call credit cards) but actually we do not do any difference as soon it is Mastercard or Visa. After 12 hours flight, I waited at least 1h to be picked up at the airport of Cancun to get to the agency office and then stood 2h in the line to get a refusal by the car company MAS to get the car. They started to ask for more money (2 times more that the price of the rental!!!) for their insurance and refusing accepting my banking cards. This car rental company also does not accept the AXA full insurance that I paid on Holidays rent website!! contacted holidays autos that gently refused me to get my money back...stealing company. My colleagues who rented with another rental car company had no problem with the rent. Here what they do to the customer is an official robbery!! Avoid them!

Do NOT HIRE FROM THEM! I have read people's experience here and I literally lost hope of having our refund back. Booked a car Dubai, my husband is still in process of getting the Emirates ID, we arrived at the deks of Thrifty and they say the can't give us the car because he doesn't have the UAE driving licence which he can't apply because he doesn't have the Emirates ID. We explained this to the agent and he said we had to talk to Holiday Auto and obviously they came up with the stupidest excuse ever, "Because its after pick up time" they can't give us the money back. FUMING! Just lost £200.
