“The Hilton at Gatwick may be super convenient and the Japanese themed restaurant food was very tasty, but the rooms are very bland and boxy. Cophall parking worked quite well too, but the bus journey does add 30 minutes to your trip.”

“If I had been able to choose in advance, I would not have selected the car hire company, Surprice at Faro airport. As other reviews indicate, they seem to commonly scam customers by claiming very minor damages - in our case a scratch on the plastic wheel trim - which is then charged at an exorbitant repair amount (123 EUROS). Given the scratches elsewhere on the vehicle, I am not convinced they are fixed in any case, so clearly the funds are not being used for this purpose. The scratch was so small it could easily have been missed on pickup - I certainly don't recall driving anywhere or in any manner that would have caused it. They would not call the shuttle & allow us to leave unless this was paid. The shuttle is infrequent too - there was at least a 20 minute wait for a bus both on arrival and departure. Avoid.”
