Products are great, but customer service online is horrible. If you have a question about an order, check order status, or cancel an order be prepared to wait 90 minutes plus. Very poor method of online customer service. For a huge company they have no online Chat Session, and if you decide to email them it will take days for a response and typically get an automated response. I order a bed online 4 weeks ago for delivery yesterday. I took the day off and waited all day it never showed. After 3 hours of waiting online and being transferred they told me pretty much nothing and it was delayed and not sure when it will be delivered. Unacceptable! Got transferred to another line and waited another 45 minutes to cancel the order. I will NEVER purchase from them online again!!

I wish I could rate 0 for this company's customer service. Worst customer service ever. Never trust their delivery system. If you decide to buy, just pick up the items yourself. An item was missing from our delivered order. We've been on phone for hours over the past 3 days. Everyday someone tells us that it will be sent and delivered by tonight but the item never arrives. Finally, someone told us that the item was discontinued. However, you can see the same item online and buy it right there! One of my worst experiences with a company's customer service.

Customer service is HORRIBLE. It’s near impossible to get through at all and once you do you have to wait for hours to actually speak to someone. They delivered 2 of the same boxes instead of 3 different ones. I had people here to build a dresser that now had to be sent back. I called 38 times and waited for over an hour just to scheduled a pickup. 8 days later and I’m still waiting for them to credit me nearly $1,000! Currently waiting for 2 hours just to speak to someone!!

I bought a bed with storage from Ikea, spent 5 hours putting it together and found that the drawers were misproduced and don't fit into it. They are about 1-2cms too narrow to fit in the tracks that should hold it. After spending a couple hours on the phone with customer service (who tried to insist I had put it together wrong, despite it just being dowels in predrilled holes) all they can offer is for me to order ANOTHER $650 bed, disassemble this one, spend another 2 hours driving to exchange it, wait 3 weeks for a refund on the second bed and HOPE that they produced that one properly. All in its going to be about 24 hours total that I sink into this bed for transportation and assembly/disassembly and a decent amount of gas. All to just hope they produced the second one properly. After submitting a review on Ikea's own website it was falsely rejected for "violating the privacy policy". No section was cited and upon reading the entire policy I can confirm I did not violate any section. It was arbitrarily rejected to artificially influence potential customers. I don't know if I'll ever shop at Ikea again after this.

I bought two items and needed to return them. I started the process over a month ago and was told someone would be in contact with me to tell me where and how to return the items. The agreement was that they would charge me for the shipping back to them and either fedex or ups would pick it up. Well, they charged my card but never followed through on their end. I've contacted them twice and all they did was apologize. Still after 1 1/2 months I still have the items and they've charged my card. Do not use IKEA. They are horrible. I've never used them until this purchase and I'll never do it again.

Pitiful customer service. I ordered online and did not receive part of my order. There is essentially no way to correct that. I have waited on the phone for more than an hour twice and still not talked to anyone. There is no other way to contact them. Do not shop here.

I ordered a sofa online and it was delivered last Tuesday. There were some screws that were not included and a white board that was damaged. I contacted customer service who told me that they would have what i needed at the Kansas store if i was willing to drive there, otherwise it would take 10 + days to deliver. I agree to go to the store. I went to the store in Kansas yesterday. I stopped at the customer service desk and gave them my information, told them that i was planning to shop and would be back to pick up. I shopped and spent another $200.00 before returning. When I came back the lady I spoke with just told me that they didn't have those screws in stock. I explained that I lived an 90 minutes away and I really needed them. After being told a couple times they couldn't help me I asked for a manager. A manager came over and I explained for the fourth time why i was there. She told me that the sofa may not be in stock. After another 20 minutes they did finally get me the parts that i needed. They handed them to me and did not say a word. The manager walked by me and did not speak to me. I was shocked at the poor customer service. I've always heard that IKEA had great customer service so this was very disappointing. I have been looking for a sectional and have decided not to use Ikea because of the poor customer service at your Kansas location. The next closest store would be hours away.

Extremely poor delivery service. It took almost a month from the date of purchase to get the item delivered. No notification of delivery status either. Just buy from Nebraska Furniture Mart to avoid Ikea delivery hassles

In the month of April of 2018, we purchased a large order for furniture. At the time there was a back order for 4 items, they delivered most of the items we ordered. So I patiently waited until mid May 2018 to see if they would finally deliver the last 4 items that were missing. Finally, I decided to call them and see what was going on with the remaining order. They told me that a plastic plant was what was holding back the remaining items to be delivered. So I decided to cancel the plant and have the last 3 items delivered to me on the 5th of June 2018... On June 5th, I waited 12 hours for a delivery that NEVER showed up... I called them around 6h00pm, that day, to know what was going on, and they told me that there was a mistake and the delivery for the remaining items were never scheduled. So after spending 5+ hours on the phone with them trying to understand what was happening, and dealing with their systems being "down"... We finally scheduled a third delivery date for the 8th of June... I told them that I can NOT miss a day of work to risk an other failed delivery, so they claimed to have scheduled this third delivery for after 3h30pm... I came home after 3h30pm to find 2 items on my front porch. (in case you have not been following the story, there were supposed to be 3 items being delivered on the 8th of June)... On top of that, they delivered 2 wrong items on my front door and I am still missing 3 full items from my delivery. I am currently on the phone with them... Again... Ikea does not seem to have a proper étiquette when it comes to delivering furniture to their clients.

EVERYTHING. Do NOT shop IKEA online store, EVER. If you need to cancel your order for any reason before it even leaves the warehouse you are not going to see you money back for months. I am waiting for 5 weeks and still nothing...

Bad experience: paid for pick up, shipping and no assembly at all! I purchased furniture from other furniture stores, they were nice and always made the furniture ready. No recommendation!

Unless you have nothing better to do than sit on the phone tracking your order, do not order online from ikea. Ordered a bed in April was supposed to be delivered in May, the delivery date and time were not acceptable called customer service,and waited 75 minutes to speak to an agent, changed the delivery date and was assured my order would be there at the time selected. 10 minutes after speaking to the agent I received and email that my order was damaged and would have to be re-ordered. I sent an email to the link on my emai to cancel the order and return my money, apparently no one reads the emails because 1 1/2 weeks later I receive another email that my order is set to be delivered, again at an unacceptable time, called Customer service and waited 122 minutes to be assured the date was changed and I would receive my order. on June 4th I received another email and phone call from the delivery company that my order was going to be delivered on the original dat (that was un-acceptable) so again I called customer service 127 minute wait. My order is scheduled for June the 8th...I'm not feeling very warm or fuzzy that it will happen. Order somewhere else, its not worth 7 hours of your life waiting on customer service. A side not the customer service agents "Are" excellent they just need about 50 more of them.

I placed an on-line order #289999124 which is a book case and 6 shelves. When the product arrived, 5 of the 6 shelves were damaged. I have now spend 3 days and a combined wait time of 3 1/2 hours waiting for a resolution manager to get the 5 damaged shelves fixed. I am on hold at this time still waiting. On the last call when I spent 20 minutes getting to the first person on the call, I asked what was wrong with their phones. I also asked to talk to her manager which she did not do as I wanted help to get this taken care of. I will never order anything on-line from IKEA again. I did the on-line order to save 4 hours of driving time. I would much rather drive and not deal with this. I can't see ever using their products again. Their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced and I am 69 years old. I continue to wait on hold listening to their recorded message about how easy it is to use their on-line system over and over again and how quickly they will respond shortly. How unbelievable that message is given my experience. I don't know how much longer I will wait for the resolution manager but need to get this fixed, so I wait.

The checkout line were horrible. Soooo. Slowwww. Was planning to eat there but there must of been a 40 min wait to just order your food. Ended up buying the frozen meatballs. This was the Oak Creek store. I was there around 7 pm on Saturday June 2nd

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I've spent hours(3 and a half) on the phone trying to track my order, nobody knows where it is. When it's finally located it's sitting in a warehouse in Georgia no one can tell me when it will move towards delivery! Could be days, weeks who knows. Now I'm trying to cancel my order. Been on hold for 67 minutes so far today. This company clearly just doesn't care. Please be warned about them. Don't give them your money. I'm sure they will not be give me a friendly and timely refund either. I feel sure that it will be a fight too. Ikea should be run out of the USA. I'll never shop with them again and will make sure I tell everyone I know to stay away. 75 minutes and still on hold...

Customer service response time is terrible. I have never managed to reach customer service even after waiting on the line for over an hour. I have tried it 3 times over 2 days. It is shame to see a good company with virtually no customer service.

I would give it 0 Stars if i could. I love ikea's deals on most things, I think their furniture is usually a great quality. This is all because of the crappy service we have received. We recently spent over $5,000 on Kitchen upgrades with them. half of the things on our kitchen cabinets were ordered wrong. Things were never mentioned to us about molding and other things. When we got to the installer They didn't know how to work their system so they instead gave me the installers numbers. Which seemed fine. Until the installer needed the exact kitchen design. So I went ahead and sent them the design from our Ikea Kitchen Planner. Turns out there were things on the Kitchen planner design that was not in our order and things that were not suppose to be a part of it. We got our quote back and they were installing multiple items that were removed from our actual design. I thought I would call Ikea... Sunday night i spent over an hour on hold to find out the department was closed that could help me. The next day i called the same number 12+ times that it wouldn't even connect me to wait on hold. The following day. Same result. I finally went in again and they still couldn't help with this. Their service at the store and doing what we needed was absolutely horrible It will be a miracle if we can figure out the information that the installers need before they come out.
