I ordered an eGift Card online as a Christmas gift for my my daughter and son in law. They state on their website that: "All gift card and e-gift card purchases are subject to credit approval and a fraud verification process. It can sometimes take up to 24 hours from the time of purchase to review your order unless you specify a future delivery date. You will receive a confirmation email when your order has been sent". I have immediately received a confirmation email that my order has been sent, but after 72 hours, my daughter still did not receive her IKEA eGift Card. There is an IKEA pending transaction on my credit credit card statement though. I spent almost one hour on phone, on Christmas Eve, trying to solve the issue with IKEA customer support representatives and also with CashStar representative. They did not have a clue what happened with my order. The IKEA customer representative was very unprofessional and rude. He even argued with me and he questioned my integrity regarding the order! I am surprised and very disappointed with the IKEA eGiftCard service. This is unacceptable.

Delivery cancelled 6 TIMES, product came broken and unusable. Spoke with customer service and managers several times, unsatisfactory resolution and horrible attitudes.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service. I ordered a gift card for xmas 2 weeks before xmas and in the email they said it’d take 1-3 business days for it to ship. A week after ordering (5 business days) I called and they said it has not been shipped due to the high number of cards people purchased and they couldnt even tell me the ETA or the estimated shipping time. She had no clue

Delivery was due on the 17th Dec between 7-19, by 16.00 Ilooked on my phone to see where it was , and said delivered, eleven though it wasn't. I phoned numerous times , each time was told I'd get a phone call back. It never came. I'm still waiting for my delivery B

I have purchased a Friheten sofa-bed for £429.00 + delivery service for £35 on the 7th of December and was supposed to be delivered on the 19th of December specifically because I work 6 days a week and I took my only day off on the 19th so that I am sure I will be home when the delivery arrives. However, I have checked online the delivery status in the morning and found out by myself that the delivery could not be made, so I called the number provided by Ikea to understand what was going on because I have been in the flat this whole time. I have been told that the driver came, tried to call me on my mobile number, but since he could not reach me he just left. Maybe I was in the bathroom, my battery may have died, the phone number may be wrong, but since they have my full address it is common sense to just try and ring the door, isn’t it? I have been waiting in the flat since 7am for the delivery to come but the driver could not even get off his van and try to ring my doorbell, moreover I also have a porter that takes care of the building and he specifically told me no one came to ring my door. Which is just ridiculous if he is just sitting in his truck and just trying to give me a call! Then the assistant trying to help me on the phone reached the hub the couch was sent from and the driver, but I was told that the delivery could not be made today because the driver said and I quote: “he is not willing to drive back here”. This is the most ridiculous and outrageous reason I have ever heard in my life. The driver could not even ring my door and now he is saying he is not willing to drive back here. So first of all, I do not care if he is willing or not, if he is far away, or if he has to work overtime but he does not decide when and how to make deliveries if he cannot do his job properly, I did not pay £35 delivery charge for nothing. The least he could do is come back here as his last delivery. On top of that, I have also arranged the collection of my old sofa by another company (which came and rang my door without trying to call me) so I have to stay in a flat without a couch to sit on. Now I have to wait until Friday for my next delivery and I have been given a 4 hour slot! But since I am working and already took my only day off I have for the week, I need to figure out something, which is really annoying. This is just VERY disappointing, I am FURIOUS at the delivery service and Ikea in general because they cannot even make a delivery and arrange it so that it comes today.

I bought several items online. It took 12 days for it to be shipped and 16 days for delivery. Once it arrived, one of the two rugs was missing from the box. I checked the website and found the CS phone number, called it, and sat on the phone for 30 minutes before I finally gave up, ready to scream from listening to your incessant advertising pitches. YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE sucks. I would add a screen print of the phone to prove the 30 minutes if there is an option on this review site.

Your level of customer service is unbelievably poor. I cannot even believe the wait time on hold to speak to a customer service problem when something is wrong. Also, the time it takes to get replacement parts is so long it's inexcusable!!

IKEA IS A FRAUD! I paid for a sofa and its delivery, but did not receive anything. Customer service ignores my claims. They just stole my money. Never deal with IKEA!

Delivered damaged items and didn't allow a flexible timeslot for the exchange. Terrible customer service. It took me almost one month to receive my order. 2 out of 3 items were damaged. Emailed but no response. Online chat staffs were like robots, acting cold and didn't even offer any apologies. After a week waiting for the exchange, the driver failed to deliver because he couldn't find a parking space. (?!) In the end I expressed how frustrating the whole process was, the lady responded it wasn't her fault so no use to express the complaint but just told her when I would like the next delivery to be arranged.(?!) I have wasted 3 full days waiting for their delivery because they don't allow any flexibility on timeslot, not for the 1st delivery, and not for the exchange for their damaged items. I've never had such a bad experience shopping online. First time shopping there and would be the last. They should re-educate their customer service team and improve this non sense system. Truly a time waste and not user friendly at all.

What nightmare. We ordered a bed and frame($1300) and received everything except the slats to put the bed on therefore rendering the frame useless. After an hour on the phone they suggested we drive the 4 hours to the closest IKEA to pick them up which we refused to do. The best they could do was send them out 6 days later. Really 6 days? We ended up buying temporary wood at a local hardware store($$$). The delivery day came and went, still no slats. They arrived 10 days later. When we called customer service the compensation they offered was to waive the delivery fee. Seriously? I emailed them again explaining that is not reasonable compensation since we had already hired a handyman to put the bed together then had to put out $$ for the temporary slats. They came back with a $35 gift card which I still felt was ridiculous. Hours(and I mean hours) waiting on the phone for customer service they changed it to $50 and advised me that is the final offer. Never again, their service is awful and they really don't care a bit. If I was smarter I should have refused payment on my CC for merchandise not received. They even had nerve to emphasize they were very generous to waive to delivery fee. Gee, you waive the delivery fee for something you didn't deliver? Horrible to deal with if you have a problem.

I never had a worse customer service ever in my life. This is the absolute nightmare. I will never go back. I will tell all my friends and family about the nightmare customer service I received today at ikea.

Worst delivery company. Supposed get the merchandise 12/5. It was canceled the day before, reschedule for 12/7 1pm to 5pm, did get there until 7pm and is a commercial building and no delivery allowed after 5. After two 45 minutes phone calls, I still have not able to reschedule the delivery. Bad customer service, bad delivery company customer service.

We bought a couch and bed frame online. When delivered they didnt deliver the center support beam for our bed. We called the next day and they said it would be 7 to 10 days before they even shipped it. Went to the store and they said since there was a case for it already they wouldnt give it to us so we had to purchase it. After being completely unhappy with our prodcts and service. We requested a pick up. We had to wsit 2 weeks for pick up and the drivers did not show. We had to reschedule for the next week with no reasoning as to why they didnt come. Again a week later they didnt show up again with no reasoning. The furniture has had to be stacked in a corner to make space for new furniture and it a hazard for collapsing. We have had to try to block it off from our young child. Ikea has done nothing but give us excuses with ne explaination or customer service. The worse buying experience and waste of time and money I have had. Do not order from this company

IKEA has the worst customer service I have ever come across. They didn’t ship me a part that was needed to complete the bed I ordered. I sent an e-mail and called customer support 2 times. The 1st call lasted 20 mins. on hold with no one answering. I hung up in frustration. The 2nd call a day later resulted in 30 mins. on hold with no one answering either. That’s 50 minuets of my life I can’t get back. I don’t care what time of year it is, if they can’t have anyone answer a call within 20-30 minuets..they’re business practice is ridiculously horrible. Hire more people to answer calls..plain and simple. They are an international corporation and one would think, customers would come first. Obviously not. I will never purchase anything from them ever again.

The worst online customer service ever! I've placed an order and one part was missing, they open a case and none called me back. Impossible to send email and try to call the number 8888884532. I stayed on the line more than an hot no one answer ... I payed for my stuff and this is really unfair and unacceptable. Everybody could do mistakes but please answer to customers that payed to get services!!!!

The worst online service in the United States. Seriously, they should be shut down and not allowed to sell online. Once you order, there is no evidence on your account that you ordered anything except you can see the charge on your credit card bill. There is absolultey no way to track the delivery except to call in and then you are given false and misleading information about where your items are and when they will be delivered. It is at least an hour and 20 minute hold time to get to their "customer service" who know nothing after this extremely long hold with incrediblyl annoying hold time announcements about how much Ikea cares. U.S. government should shut them down for fraudulent claims online. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE.

I am not one to write bad reviews for companies, but I honestly do not know how IKEA stays in business. Ordered a sofa online a month ago and have had to call IKEA multiple times to get updates on delivery after hearing nothing for a month. Have had to wait on hold multiple times for over an hour only to be told that my delivery keeps being delayed. Finally talked to someone at the delivery company IKEA uses and found out that even though I placed my order on 11/2, IKEA didn't send my order to them until 11/28, which was AFTER my estimated delivery date. Ended up just canceling my order because my new delivery date was not even a guarantee, but now have to wait 7-14 days to receive a refund for my order. Most frustrated about the lack of transparency on IKEA's part of how long my order would actually take to get delivered and the inability of their customer service department to be much help at all getting answers. Glad I was able to cancel my order and will not be purchasing from them again.

Store does not deserve 1 star gave, item 50307616 have been trying to order for last three months customer service a joke cant get my head around why they email and put on site item in stock, when obviously never been in, ikea need to train there management who are letting under dogs so to speak take all slack appauling service and arrogant with it and yes you have my contact details but have chose to think ill go away as you no iv made numerous calls

WHAT A DISASTER. We ordered two small tables and a closet system, and their assembly. We had to make FIVE TRIPS to the Renton store - about 45 minutes away - to rectify all of the dumb mistakes with the order. The assemblers showed up twice. The first time they said they wouldn't install because the order only had delivery, not assembly - even though we had A PAID RECEIPT for assembly. The second time they showed up, they said they were only paid to assemble the 2 tables, not the closet. You could tell the 3rd-party assembly people felt mortified at how dumb it felt to even say it - they knew it was ANOTHER mistake. There is a REASON that on consumer reports, google reviews, and several other consumer review sites, IKEA averages only 1-2 starts. YOU ARE A JOKE!
