Dear Ikea Team, I had made a very bad experience with your delivery guys. We paid 150 Euro for delivery service. We just had renovated our flat with a 5 days new wooden floor. Friendly asked to take of the shoes or to put some underlays (like carton) on the floor, unfriendly the denied both. They did not try to solve the problem and (I am not kidding) the drove away without complete the service. I am very angry, its an unprofessional and not competent way of delivery service. Kind Regards

I am so disappointed with IKEA(Long Island, NY). I bought a three door BRIMES wardrobe and when I was trying to build it, two of the boxes had duplicate pieces so I obviously gave them a call and a really nice lady told me I was going to get a call the next day letting me know when they were going to mail me the missing parts and so I received a call the next day (Wednesday) and the lady told me I'd be receiving my pieces by Friday.. Friday passed and so did the weekend and nothing was delivered to my house, I gave them a call on Monday and they apologized and stated they had JUST received those pieces so they were going to give me a call the next day to inform me when they were going to mail it to me. Tuesday came and I NEVER received a call so I called them and spoke to someone named Anthony that sucks at customer service btw, did not even apologize for my troubles and he also told me they had JUST received the items to the store and they were going to mail it to me through FedEx and he was going to call me back with the tracking number, also offered me a $25 gift card.. I can't even buy a good lamp with $25 wth is that? Anyways, Anthony never called me back and so I was so fed up two weeks passed by since I bought it and I still hadn't built my wardrobe. So I called the next day and spoke to a nice gentleman and he gave me the entire wardrobe that I had to go pick up because I obviously don't trust their messy customer service anymore. When I picked it up I happened to run into Anthony who still didn't apologize and asked me if I needed help bringing it to my car (I'm a 130 lbs girl) and I said yes please and he answered with "oh I can't but you can ask someone outside". When I went outside and asked someone, they said they would go to my car and helped me and after 10 minutes passed by nobody came and I had to put it in my car ALONE! The guy never came to help me. Anyways, Today (a week after), I received a call from IKEA asking me what pieces is it that I was missing so they can mail it to me... I have NEVER been so disatesfied with their service. Extremely disorganized, bad customer service, you guys need it to get it together cause to be honest, you guys suck!

FAT CORPORATE SLOT AND GREED IS EVIDENT.... they sell chairs not made to sit on the floor without legs... and do not tell you. When you call and try plead your case that driving to San Diego Ikea and subsequently buying legs for your chair, followed by a trip to their new "pick up" center 6 miles away is not acceptable (eg. let me pay for them over the phone and have Ikea ship them to me) they say it is impossible. So after 25+ years of being an Ikea customer and spending $10's of thousand of dollars outfitting investment homes with Ikea kitchens.... we are done. They can save their $17 on the legs that should be included with the chair and I'll save the grief of ever shopping there again. I'll also save our corporation and family members the grief by forbidding anyone from ever making a purchase at Ikea again. Ikea, like most larger corporations these days has a false jingle of "having a positive impact on people". They follow the Trump motto, the Enron motto, the Bernie Maddoff model... exploit and lie to increase profit. Hey Ikea.... F you! Tim von Zweck

Is the customer services phone number working? After more than one hour I'm still on hold. Very frustrating.

Literally the WORST customer service experience! Ordered furniture online, and was given an estimated delivery date. Date comes, no delivery, no email, no notification from IKEA that the date has been changed. After calling TWICE, and being on hold for OVER 45 MINUTES each time, they were finally able to figure out that my order was actually not ready, and they did not know when it was arriving. I then received an email notification with another date, this time it said "confirmed" on it. We had assistance on hand ALL DAY that day (that specifically came in to assist us in this large delivery) and I made sure I was available during that time frame to accept and check the delivery. The window was 12-4, and at EXACTLY 4:00pm, the delivery company RUDELY calls me to tell me that the order wasn't going to make it and that they needed to reschedule-for 2 days away! I'm not going to be available that day! I told her it needed to happen the following day, as we waited over 2 weeks, and this was not at all our fault (I was told by IKEA that a truck was in our area every single day)....AND SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!!! I called IKEA, and after being on hold AGAIN for close to an hour (seriously, is there one person working in their customer service department???), I was told the same thing. I was offered a refund on the delivery only, but to me, after all of this frustration, being hung up on, misinformation from both IKEA and the delivery company, and the HOURS of my life spent on hold trying to find out where my order was, I don't feel that is enough. I still don't know when my order is arriving, nor who I will have available to receive it (I don't want to waste someone else's day waiting for something again when I have zero faith that it will actually even arrive). Honestly, I would have been better off renting a truck, driving 4 hours to IKEA and getting the furniture myself. Anything rather than dealing with this horrible service and stress. Seriously, think twice and think long and hard about how much time on the phone and stress you can endure before purchasing items that come through their truck delivery service. Never again!!!!

We took an adult family trip to Ikea today and brought about 30 different items between us. The service was slow and the staff seemed annoyed at not being able to move through the sections quickly. They should bear in mind it is the school holidays various kids were running about. In addition a lot of seniors were also shopping so a bit of respect and patients for customers would be more professional. The customers were respectful of each other so it would not hurt the staff to try it. The Que at the till was nearly 20 minutes wait which I found unacceptable considering the level of staff members congregated around the till area. The self service was closed off also. However, when we got home and my mother looked at her receipt I was disgruntled to find a baking set was labelled up in store at 2.50 was 8.00 pounds instead. This product was on its own shelf with a price tag of 2.50. It was not with other items. We brought six glasses which again were on their own display stand with a hanging point of sale. The point of sale offer was glasses 0.75 each with the family card or 1.00 pound each without. The family card discount did not apply. My partner called customer services which was again a disappointing service. If you want to work in telephone customer service without having responsiblilty for your role, any manners or having to put in any effort to help the complaint than this is the perfect job for you. I would recommend all customers purchasing small market hall items that you check the price labels, barcode numbers and spelling of all products before purchasing in the future. I am only writing this as my previous experience at Nottingham Ikea was near identical with the service and price points on display.

Ordered a day bed from Ikea on May 4th and they charged me $60 for delivery. I was sent one email, claiming the bed would arrive by May 12th. I did not receive the bed and by May 20th, I contacted customer service. I was on hold for over an hour. This guy picked-up and claimed the local delivery company here in Albuquerque has been holding the bed for over two weeks with no contact nor delivery. Coincidentally, they call me after getting off the phone with this guy. They set a delivery date without asking me, insisted that someone be here to sign and I explained to them that I would be out of town for a few days. They re-set the appointment for yesterday and then called to say that the truck carrying my bed was broken down so they schedule it for today at 7:00 am. Guy shows up in a Penske moving truck, drops on the front porch and goes.

Delivery driver went to the wrong building and then lied that there was no one in when he went to deliver. The person I spoke to in customer service was very dismissive and got caught lying for her driver about him not calling us when he was at the wrong building. Will NEVER order online again

No respect to customers time at all. Have spent hours!!!!!, really hours asking to pick up the damaged item which Ikea replaced. Apparently they have not provided the delivery company STI with the paper work to pick the items when they replaced the bed. Overall time with Customer Service on the phone around 5 hours during the last 24 hours waiting to be put through to the right department, and that department turning into being the wrong one. Case # 34775560 and order 250549194. What a waste of time and energy!!!! Please, never order anything from IKEA or use their STI home delivery service....

Got a foam mattress less than two years with a 25 years guarantee. You think wow. When you think 25 year guarantee no worries. Call Ikea call centre telling them my mattress sinks in the middle causing me back problems. They say that's fine looks like a back batch of quality foam. We will send a company call Ecomaster to have a look. Day before Ecomaster was meant to come over they text me they coming at 8am to 1pm. So I told work I'll do half a day come in the afternoon, lost out on my wage then but at lease it's not a full day. Then I got a text just before 5pm that they changing the time and coming between 12 to 7pm. I lost a full day of my wage. I had to ring work in the morning telling them I can't come in the afternoon they wasn't happy. So Ecomaster guy come in done a lot of test. Check the floor flat, the bed base flat and even laid in my bed but not willing to talk to me just how often I turn the bed and how long I had the bed. Ecomaster went off saying you will get in touch with Ikea. They sent me a letter today saying they isn't a manufacturer fault or defects. Then saying the damage had been caused due to the care instructions not being followed. Will not take further action. What a company!!! I slept in that bed and I've got another mattress that over 5years. I don't get any back problems with that. A warrantie not worth a penny. A company I won't trust.just lies and lies

Ordered a Besta tv stand set. Everything arrived on time. However, the runners of the drawers are all LEFT sided instead of in left-right pairs. I called the customer service and the lady promised to send me replacements with no problem. However, the replacements never arrived. Checked my email box today and found that they sent me an email that day asking pictures for the wrong sided runners. Why can't IKEA simply call? Or at least send a reminder when customer did not reply. Emails are EASY to miss since I got about a score of them everyday. Calling IKEA customer service is really a pain in ass. Every time of calling, I have to hold for at least 10-15 minutes for someone to pick up the phone. I am holding for 25 minutes now with no one answering and now it is just 4:50 PM! Simply terrible. I like IKEA products, but may be forced to not shopping with them in the future, if the situation persistent.

This was my first time ordering furniture online with Ikea, and I absolutely do not recommend it. We will never be ordering anything from this company again, and at this point would not even consider buying in store. Our experience was so disappointing. We spent $925.00 on two loft beds on February 23, 2017 (order #246328923). I ordered online and the only positive thing about this experience was that the process to use their website is very simple, however, there is no guarantee that any items will actually be delivered to your home, which makes the ease of using their website completely pointless. I received an email February 26, 2017 stating that the items had been shipped from the Ikea distribution center. I was under the impression Ikea would be delivering to my home, but they use external delivery companies to do this, this one inparticular is apparently called STI (but was taken over by a different company I have never been given the name of). On March 10, 2017 I received an email stating that my delivery date had been scheduled and that I “would receive a phone call to schedule delivery date and to provide a 4 hour time window”. This all happened as planned, on March 14 I received a phone call, met the truck at my home, arrived to them parked at the bottom of my driveway. They were in a 30ft truck which the driver said was a rental so he did not want to drive it up the driveway. We explained to him that we had a 35ft truck up the driveway a month before and were able to turn it around at the top. He would not walk up the driveway to look at the turn-about and then said that he could leave the crates of 16 boxes at the bottom of the driveway for us to walk them up to the house. We paid $100.00 just for the delivery to our home, we expected DELIVERY TO OUR HOME, not the bottom of the driveway. We decided to call Ikea and reschedule. Huge mistake. We have been going back and forth with Ikea and this delivery company for 9 weeks and still have not received our loft beds, there has not even been another attempt to deliver them. The delivery company rescheduled delivery with us over the phone on 6 different occasions, which I took off work for each of these days, and they never showed up and no one called. When I would call them, they put me on hold for no less than 30 minutes, sometimes nearly an hour, just to get back on the phone and say they never had a delivery scheduled for that day but could schedule one then on the phone, and then the same thing would happen again, no-show no-call. They did this over and over again with no intention of attempting delivery because after this went on for over a month, I finally got someone on the phone at Ikea (Cherise) that contacted this company's corporate office, a two hour phone call resulting in us finding out they had lost the items. After this, I received an email from Ikea stating that we needed to pay another delivery fee because the company said that we were not home when they attempted delivery! This was handled quickly and I did not have to pay an additional fee, but was shocked that Ikea was using a delivery company that was so dishonest and manipulative! Here's some information on Ikea's customer service....they are very friendly and get absolutely nothing accomplished. I can't even count all the phone calls I had with Ikea, on hold for hours and hours, only to have a representative get on the phone with the delivery company, they would lie to Ikea, and Ikea rep said there was nothing else they could do. The one phone call I had with Cherise was the ONLY productive phone call and she actually noticed that something wasn't right and took the time to figure it out. After this phone call when we discovered they had lost the products, Ikea refunded me $100.00 for delivery charge and shipped out a second order. (order #250061148) The second order was shipped from the distribution center on May 10, 2017 via the same delivery company. I received an email the following day, May 11, stating that the order was ready to be delivered and I would receive a phone call in 2-3 days. Fast forward to May 17, still had not heard from delivery company so I called Ikea again...waited on hold for 47 minutes before even speaking to a person, again....they contacted delivery company, again, and delivery company said they would call me within 48 hours..again. They did call and scheduled the delivery for May 18, 2017 with a time window of 2pm-6pm. I had not heard anything at around 4pm so I called the delivery company to check the status. The woman Darlene that answered the phone (the same one that scheduled the delivery with me the day before) said that they did not have any deliveries scheduled in Chattanooga for that day but she could schedule a future date with me over the phone, put me on hold. A man, Daniel, picked up and I explained to him what had been going on and he said they had a truck in Chattanooga at that moment but for some reason my delivery was not on it and when he looked in the system, someone had gone in and cancelled my delivery at 5pm the day before (after it had been rescheduled). This company is definitely up to something, at worst illegal, at best shady. And Ikea is no better, having a company like this delivering products to customers and then not remedying the messes that have been created. I will not do this for another 3 months (or indefinitely) with Ikea company and this delivery company. We have shopped at Ikea in the past and used their products in our home, but after this experience we probably never will again. We live about 2 hours from the Atlanta store and wish we would have just taken a trip up there and purchased them in-store. We debated doing that if we ever get our money back, but really have no desire to give this type of company our money, so we have found similar loft beds and honestly, better quality, at a local store. Ikea just isn't worth it. Period. This experience has been a nightmare. To give a company $1000 and in return, have no assistance or concern for their customer (over an issue that was created by a company they chose to do business with) and no product received in return for that money, it's not only ridiculous, it's bad business.

Placed an order on-line, was given a delivery date. I hesitated in placing the order as they require someone to sign for it upon arrival, but thought I can rearrange one day and make it work. I arranged my schedule to be home from work, the best they can do is a four hour window 12-4. After 12:00 I received a call, at least they called, that "the truck broke down" and delivery will be Tuesday. I asked if the item could be left without a signature, I clearly stated, "I'm giving you my permission to leave it" I will leave a signed note on the door saying the same, but they refused. Someone has to sign!!! I will not order again!!! Amazon, Target, Walmart, the US mail, etc. all leave packages.

I'd read bad reviews of buying Ikea online (as opposed in their stores). But their crazy good prices seduced me. At the end of December 2016, I ordered some bedding. After the estimated arrival date came and went with no package, I called them. I was told my package was "lost." FedEx lost it and I'd have to call them to find out any more. I said "huh? What? Isn't that your job?" The rep said "no, it's not." I said, "I've never heard of the customer having to call the shipping company themselves." We went back and forth like this until I asked if there was someone else could talk to. She transferred me to someone who spoke more like a regular customer service person -- apologized for what the other person had said; told me she'd look into it; came back a few minutes later and said a new order would be shipped to me. Two weeks later it arrived. I was very ill at the time. Was not able to open the package until three months later to discover that two thirds of my order, which I'd long ago paid for in full, of course, was not there. It took me four not short phone calls to get the money for the unsent items refunded to me. It also felt like I was calling a place that had not upgraded in 25 years. I think they had computers? But I couldn't swear to it. I don't know what the deal is, how the world's largest furniture retailer can be so crap with online orders. Don't be seduced by their prices! Not worth it! I'd have been better off going in person and being forced to walk that huge concrete circle. Though, I have to say, the online experience makes me want to go to their stores even less.

I bought an IKEA kitchen at the Richmond, Australia store for a client. It had a KARLBY timber veneer benchtop just like the kitchen on display. Before buying the kitchen, I was concerned about water given that it included a sink and tap (as a kitchen does). Three times I was assured by different Ikea assistants that there was no problem with a KARLBY timber veneer benchtop in an environment where it could get wet. In fact I was told no treatment was required to protect the veneer benchtop. The installation instructions and KARLBY timber veneer notes made no mention about protecting the product from water. Within two weeks of the kitchen being installed the KARLBY timber veneer benchtop started bulging and staining near the sink. Once I was advised of the problem I contacted IKEA and was informed that it was not a design problem but a user problem. This came as a shock to me as I never saw any written advice (and IKEA customer support still hasn't presented any) to say that KARLBY timber veneer isn't suitable for a wet area. I then went back to the Richmond store and asked an IKEA assistant in the Kitchen department if there was a problem with using the KARLBY timber veneer around a sink. The assistant looked up the instructions and told me there wasn't. The assistant gave me an IKEA brochure describing the KARLBY timber veneer installation and maintenance requirements. Again there was no mention of water. This assistant agreed that I had a very strong case and urged me to take it up again with IKEA customer support. The following is the advice the Ikea customer support provided as the reason they would not consider supporting their Karlby timber veneer product: "The guarantees do not apply to products that have been stored or assembled incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned with the wrong cleaning methods or wrong cleaning products. The guarantees do not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents." It still does not mention anything about getting some water on a kitchen bench! But they closed the case anyway. They also are very confused and poorly informed about the maintenance procedures for the solid timber and timber veneer benchtops so be VERY careful if you still want to buy this product. The IKEA customer support also sent conflicting information about IKEA benchtops so I did not have any confidence in the information they sent. I used to be very confident about using and recommending IKEA. I also mistakenly thought that IKEA supported their products. Now I do not use their products any more and actively warn every one of my experience.

I ordered a wardrobe for my daughter. It was delivered late and with a broken piece. I called IKEA and after 47 minutes I was told a replacement piece would be sent and I would get email confirmation, it never came. I tried calling again, but after 17 minutes on hold had to hang up due to an appointment. Boxes are parts have been covering her room for over 2 weeks now without an end in sight.
