Like many others, I waited weeks for a confirmation email that the order I placed had shipped. I was never notified that the product I ordered was never in inventory and was told that I would have to wait several more weeks on the "expectation" that it "might" be available after I finally received a response from them. I've worked for retailers in the past that have gone bankrupt and this is a sure sign that this company is about to go under. A great shame for what once was one of my favorite retailers. Do NOT buy from them.

Absolute travesty, this company. I expect a $ 800 refund on returned xmas gifts. In spite of "our most sincere apologies" haven't seen any money yet.

Warning what ever you do don't buy anything from this company. They are a sham. I bought 2 mens shirts 3 months ago for over $200. I didn't like the quality and returned them 2 months ago. Never received a refund. I have called 6 times and still can't reach a supervisor they tell me they will call me back in 5 days. The call center has no power they are just a messaging center for the company.

I have been a faithful loyal customer, owning just about every Caftan ever offered. I was so happy to see the caftans back after a year. I purchased 2. Only one came. They told me the other was out of stock only after several emails to them. I have talked, chatted, emailed to 6 different people about REFUND, everyone has told me something different and I’m still waiting. Since I lost my business with the covid crisis, I can’t afford to have money floating around. It just seems they don’t want to give me my refund! They have lost a great customer, along with my friends. We have probably bought 500 caftans together.

AVOID THIS PLACE it is a SCAM. It appears they are going out of business (or bankrupt AGAIN) and don't have enough money to send orders or refund customers. We call OVER AND OVER AND OVER and are told "You'll be paid tomorrow" or "The system is down." For months? Bull. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! All moneys sent to them appear to be nonrefundable donations.

Same scenario as many of these other customers...I ordered 2 t-shirts on January 25, 2021. I received a confirmation email for this order and didn’t hear another thing so I called mid February to inquire and was told the shirts were no longer available. Refund, please. Will take two weeks to issue. I have called twice since and gotten a run around, including fawning, insincere apologies and lies about when the refund will be issued. I was promised yesterday I would get a refund today. Hadn’t happened and the business day is almost over. Just terrible customer service. Never again.

Purchase originally made on October 22, 2020 and sent back to them the same week was finally refunded on February 26, 2021. A restocking fee of $9 was deducted from my full return credit as well. Completely unacceptable. Will not do business with this company in the future.

I continue to wait on my refund from December of last year. Basically told me they were 'running behind' on refunds, were inventorying, etc...Was told I should receive a call soon----a month ago! Better Business Bureau is my next step if I can't hear from anyone at this company.

It's taken me TWO months to get a refund. Like most, I don't write reviews. I try to take them with a grain of salt knowing it's usually frustrated customers and situations can happen. However, the one-star rating for this company is generous. I'd recommend for this company to replace Tammie. She had ZERO sympathy, never apologized, basically told me SOL "we're 6 weeks behind on refunds". I have been chasing this for months and have names, proof, etc. She could not bother to care since it was taken care of while we're on the phone. Only after me being transferred 3x once again. Jody and Pia, also lied about the refund being proceeded weeks prior and should be held accountable for lying. I can appreciate some situations are out of employees' hands, but keeping people's money for months during a pandemic? You might think of replacing your associates if they're burnt out. It's showing.

I ordered a pair of pants, I never heard another word but they we sure to charge me. I sent an email they said they were out of stock and would not be get them in and they would credit me. Got my credit card statement, no refund only a charge. Sent another email and 2 days later get an answer saying they sent my card a credit. I'll believe it when I see it. I had the same problem last year with guide boat and currently have been waiting for a pair of pants from Territory Ahead for 6 months, they don't answer my emails any more. I found out all 3 companies are all the same owners.

Ordered two items for Xmas 2020. The items concerned were of poor quality and I returned them on 12/30/20. Fed Ex delivered them to J Peterman on Jan 4th, 2021. Still no refund. This is the second time this has happened to me with Peterman (more fool me, right?). They used to be a good company selling quality merchandise. Not any more. It's too bad.

Ordered a blouse for my wife for Christmas with 2 weeks lead time with expedited shipping. Checked with them second week in January to see where it was. Was notified that it was out of stock when I ordered it. (“Weren’t you going to tell me?”) They gave me the option of waiting for it to be restocked in an indefinite period of time or getting a refund. I opted for the refund, which I was told could take a couple of weeks because they were “running behind and had to do inventory”. Wrote to them last week to check on what the delay was. No response yet. I’ll call tomorrow. Such a shame. Used to be a good, reliable vendor.

I ordered 2 hoodie shirts Dec 19 and my cc was charged the 20th. After Christmas I emailed ( I could find no phone number) asking about where the shirts were. No response at all. I continued to be email every week and never a response. The shirts showed up in mid Jan. I ordered large, 1 was huge and the other was tight. The return policy said you have to contact them to get the return label and knowing they don’t respond, I started sending emails every day. It wasn’t until I disputed the charge on my credit card that they contacted me offering me to keep the clothes and get 20% off next order. NO WAY, so then they offered $20 to have me keep the order. The said the cost to ship internationally was too expensive. They offered me $40 after 2 weeks of this nonsense. I took the $40 refund and learned a valuable lesson. Always look for refund policy displayed on the site. And always make sure there is a phone number to reach someone.

I ordered 3 items from j Peterman in August. I received a polo shirt first and then 2 t-shirts. I didn't like the quality which was disappointing as I had been impressed by the quality of previous purchases. In addition I had ordered 2 long sleeve t-shirts and received one short sleeved an one long. I filled out the forms and returned them in 2 shipments. I never received a refund for one of the 2 t-shirts. I feel that I got the run around with customer service.

1. webiste not updated. they take your money for items that are not in stock. 2. have to call multiple times to be refunded for items not delivered. 3. my account history on their webiste is incomplete

Like the previous reviewer stated, takes forever to get a refund, and you have to call and remind them. It's obviously a company policy. Everything is made in China.

terrible customer service for refunds. 1, JP does not reverse charges when goods out of stock; 2, JP takes extraordinary length of time to credit when goods returned, and in my instance at least, it was unclear that any refunds would have been made without my intervention by disputing charge via the credit card company

I ordered an item on 12/3/20 and my credit card was charged that day. The item was back ordered and now unavailable. I have not yet received the credit card refund! I have sent several emails only to be told some foolishness. I will never do business again for such fraudulent practice. And strangely enough on 12/4/20 my credit card was hacked for hundreds of dollars. Coincidence?

The weight of the ‘’vintage t shirt is unacceptable. Have purchased in the past and no comparison. Can see thru my recent order. Your ad ‘’ noticeably more substantial cotton than found in t shirts these days’’ , did not reflect my order. Been a long time customer, sorry the quality is not what i have enjoyed in the past.
