“We ordered a refurbished desktop gaming pc and it arrived the next day in perfect (as new condition). So far our son is very pleased with it! We saved over £300 compared to a new one. Very cool”

“Absolutely shocking customer service. They took £115 from my account for no reason and now I’m having to raise a dispute with my bank to get it back. Laptops direct are not interested in returning my money and are just telling me to retrieve it through my bank. Don’t give them your credit card or bank details as they will rip you off. Scam company!”

“AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. They may be cheap but as soon as you have an issue, game over... Ordered a new CPU and it came in a plastic envelope. The item was crushed badly in transit and was as flat as a pancake. As I didn't want to risk putting a damaged item in my expensive motherboard I asked for a return. They have said that this needs to be done at my cost. This is ludicrous as THEY have failed to package item correctly!!!!!!!”

“Horrible, slimey company with no regard for consumer rights and who use underhand tactics to try and evade their responsibility as a retailer. I tried to return a laptop within my legal 14-day cooling off period only to be told that all they could offer was a swap or store credit. After I quoted my consumer rights to them they started ignoring my emails. I ended up having to get my credit card company and the citizens advice bureau invovled. After numerous phone calls, emails and a signed letter in the post they eventually backed down and gave me a full refund. Disgusting that I had to spend 5 days arguing for them to do the right thing. AVOID!”

“Excellent communication, I was kept updated at all stages of order through to delivery. Email sent to offer extended warranty on the refurbished laptop that I declined (£29.99 for 9mths). Item delivered was spec ordered and all works fine. Only downside was the refurb was described as A2 some slight marks; there are two scratches on the lid that are quite deep one I thought may be a crack, as it wasn't I didn't bother contacting laptopsdirect to complain as the laptop works fine. Overall recommended”
