Not really happy as when I received a letter saying if I cancelled for any reason what so ever I'd have to pay the insurance premium in full.. Not good..

Poor / inaccurate advice from call centre re ability to effect insurance before CBT. Even when they referred to a supervisor, the response was factually / legally inaccurate. Odd policy wording which I have never come across before - they seem to provide one policy for the TPF & T element and a separate one for the own/ accidental damage portion Paying by instalments option is extortionate - 69% APR - luckily I was paying in full for my son - I feel sorry for youngsters who may have no choice but to take the instalments option.

Pros: phone always answered quickly by a real person - no menus to wade through. Call centre staff pleasant and easy to talk to. Slightly lower premium. Lexham don't use RAC for their optional breakdown cover. Cons: staff appear inadequately trained, so can easily inadvertantly mislead and confuse. Disorganized. mistakes or complications caused by call centre take time and several layers of staff to sort out. No clear, single claims number: at least six alternatives given. No idea which is best. Legal cover included, not an optional extra. I was about to give one star, but then I remembered Carole Nash were even worse, and Lexhams are at least a step up from them. Insurance has become too complicated for the brokers, let alone the poor customers.

Initially setting up the insurance was super easy: I got a quote via gocompare and went from there. Then the hell started. Lexham called me at work to tell me my insurance was actually invalid and then went on to say they'd have to push it back and it would cost more. Once they'd gone through the numbers I asked them to call me back after 6PM so they didn't disturb my work any further. All good until 15 minutes later when they call back to say "woops! turns out we were wrong". Didn't need to pay more. Still got disturbed. Easy to set up, shame about the customer service.

When buying the insurance online at the weekend I needed to speak to someone to confirm whether I was covered. Although the office was closed I spoke to someone who was very rude, he swore at me down the phone before hanging up. On the Monday all was sorted but I feel that staff on the claims line at the weekend need a course on talking to customers.

After only 2 weeks unfortunateley I had my Motorbike stolen. I reported it to Lexham who then said someone would call me. After I heard nothing for 2 days, I called back and I was told to ring AXA, and report it to them Things that went wrong: 1) During the first call to Lexham someone should have told me to ring AXA 2) AXA new nothing about my case and told me it was odd that Lexham had not passed on the info

Was told that I could have the insurance paperwork e mailed to me - waited 2 days then sent an e mail saying it hadn't arrived. Reply e mail said I could not have a copy be e mail and had been misinformed. When I actually got the paperwork I phoned Lexham to query if the policy was correct as it stated £100.70 as the premium and I had paid £165.70 I was told that £65 was for administration. For a 65% premium on top of the policy price I would have expected a better service - if not having the documents e mailed to me than at least a courtesy phone call to say a mistake had been made in the information given to me.

1. Lexham's CRM already had all my personal information but I had to spend some 30-mins to repeat everything. 2. There seemed to be too many 'value added' items, two of which I'm going to cancel having read the the documentation sent through: a) Excess - I would have to pay Lexham / underwriter £600 in the event of a claim which costs me a fee for this. If all the paperwork & T&C's are in order, this would then be refunded. b) Personal Accident Claim 3. It would have been nice to receive a single email with a single attachment, but instead I received multiple emails and each with PDF's, one of which contained around 11 attachments. This took me ages to pull up each pdf, read, then save in new folders on my laptop. 4. Cost to change - I was astounded that any change would cost c.£35 each. 5. The chap on the phone was polite and should be give a bottle of champagne for having to conduct this c.30-min screen for each phone call - actually two bottles! Best! McCabe b)

The web site is the worst I have ever used! It was so user unfriendly and I almost gave up and went else where. One on pages it would show errors which allowed you to correct. The next page would show no errors and not allow you to move to the next page. When it did eventually allows us to leave the page it would erase all the details we had just entered. This happened at least 3 times! I had to call the next day to give my email address and check the details I entered were correct as it kept deleting my details. I didn't get the documents emailed to me that evening, which is why I had to call. I did report this to the person that answered the phone but don't think he was very interested

They cancelled my insurance straight away, because i informed them that i am going to move approx 2 miles away. Then i was given a choice of cancel my policy immediatelly (and leave my bike where it was parked and come back home walking) or cancel it by myself in 1 week and charged me 35 pounds, as it was my will really.

Very very very bad ScooterAndBikes website: After the payment you don't receive any email. If you click on "forgot psw" you receive an email on Spam folder. The number to call is a not-free number. No personal page to see the insurance.

I purchased a Honda CBR 125 and choose this insurance company because it first explainedthat insurance would be £540 a year. Instead, on the day I wanted insurance it cost me £724.60 which is stupendous for a student who doesn't have a part time job.

I have just purchased insurance and yet I have not use it Great disappointment that when I quoted this insurance I selected social computing plus one place of work then just to find out I am not covered when committing to work and I had to pay extra 28 quid for that In my opinion that's really not fair as fault wasn't on my side and I was sure what I have selected my insurance costed 620 and28 pounds wouldn't make much difference but lack of transparency and hiden extra charge greatly disappointing
