Established in October 2000 Lexham Insurance was originally formed as a specialist broker handling Moped, Scooter and Motorcycle Insurance. The operation has rapidly expanded and now handles polices for tens of thousands of riders and drivers in the UK and Northern Ireland.

“Everyone I have spoken to at Lexham Insurance has been excellent, they are very helpful and knowledgeable about the service they are offering. I received my documents in the post the next day after I joined the 'cycling rescue' at the cycle show. However only time will tell whether I do actually get the 'cycle rescue' service I have paid for, hopefully if I do ever need it it will be as efficient as the 'sales' people are. Sadly insurance usually is excellent at the point of 'buying' but rarely as good at the point of 'claim'. Time will tell, but so far so good. I have told many cyclist's about this new cycle rescue service, I really do wish Lexham Insurance well.”

“Very very very bad ScooterAndBikes website: After the payment you don't receive any email. If you click on "forgot psw" you receive an email on Spam folder. The number to call is a not-free number. No personal page to see the insurance.”

“Initially gave a very good quote, but after paying the premium phoned me up and claimed that I'd failed to disclose an accident I'd had previously, even though I had and it was fully detailed on their own paperwork. The paperwork that they sent back to me had various mistakes on it and they didn't believe the proof of NCB from my previous insurer. Overall, I'm not sure if they're trying to screw me for an additional premium or are simply incompetent. Doesn't inspire confidence either way.”

“I was badly let down by another insurance company when they failed to phone me back several times when I attempted to get a quotation for insurance. Lexham Insurance were recommended to me and they did everything right including phoning me back within the time frame they said they would. Both their emails and documentation arrived promptly and I would not hesitate to recommend them as a company to do business with. I am only disappointed that there is not an 'excellent' box to tick.”

“I am very happy with the quote for this year. When I changed my bike last year, I had paid the premium for my 990 Adventure, approx £260 then two weeks later I had to pay an extra ( approx ) £240. I thought that was excessive, and would have expected some reduction from the total of approx £500. Above figures all approx as I am not at home, and do not have figures with me”
