Have a Gastop stove with 5 flimsy plastic control knobs. The crappy plastic stem that connects it to the stove is so cheaply made it took 2 lousy months of normal use for it to break. Well, no problem, I’ll just replace this $5 part with LGParts.com, a LG owned company. WRONG. Called them and was quoted $45+tax+$10 shipping. Yay, that’ll be $75 bucks said the LG staffer. I complained about what a ripoff this was … and the line went dead. Thanks bud, you just saved me $45 by going to Amazon to get 5 of these knobs, not 1 like LG was offering: https://a.co/d/79ADLf2 Shameful practices by LG. Nothing but a ripoff from their customers.

We are very disappointed, disgusted and dissatisfied concerning the LG cook top oven that my wife I purchased less than a year ago. (Actual description) 6.3 cu ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Fan Convection Electric Range with Air Fry & EasyClean. Since purchasing this oven, we have used it only a few times due to our schedule of being in and out of town. We did not utilize any type of oven cleaners to clean the oven nor did it require it. With this being said, we noticed a few weeks ago that there appeared to be a combination of chipping of paint and rust on the inside of the oven near where the racks are stationed. This is very concerning especially if we are going to cook meals and bake for our family. I've reached out to LG customer service a few times which tried to suggest that I was using heavy oven cleaning products. I explained that this wasn't the case and that I was very concerned that this is happening with only having it for a few months. After explaining that there was no cleaning products used, they then said, that only parts are covered. The durability of this product is awful. The warranty only covers parts but doesn't take care of paint chippings or rust on a product that is barely 8 months old. I am recommending to everyone to beware of buying from LG. No one should pay thousands of dollars on a product that already gives cosmetic issues in only a few months. They need to replace this due to the unsanitary problem but they won't even send anyone out to just look at it. Again, disappointed!!!

I purchased oven, dishwasher and unfortunately a refrigerator. I didn’t purchase the additional warranty, well one year and 3 weeks later the refrigerator breaks down. I used an LG approved service company, it cost me 746.00 to repair, new compressor, two months later it breaks down again. The first repair gave me a three year warranty, I called them again they came the following day. When he pulled the fridge and checked what was wrong he simply told me to get a new one, the computer system needed to be replaced. It would cost 659.00, I paid 2200 for the fridge originally had it only for 1.5 years.

Re: LG Washing Machine (Model: WT5270CW) (Purchased 2016) I too have experienced the rusting around the bleach dispenser as well. In fact, I contacted LG on August 31st, 2024, was sent to an outsourced Customer Support system. I presented clear and detailed photos. They claimed it was my fault, naturally. However, the rust is coming from the inside out. When the washer flushes water into the bleach plastic cavity, it is also seeping between the washer's shell, and the plastic dispenser. Apparently, there is no gasket or bezel to keep the water from getting in between the two. The white paint begins to bubble, and then the rust breaks through. Similar to the characterizes of rust on a vehicle. Rust particles are being applied during the bleach cycle, causing rust spots on clothing. They insinuated that I used harsh detergents. Again, a false claim. The only liquid I pour into the dispenser is bleach. However, every time the machine is used, water it being applied to the dispenser, whether there is bleach or not. It is part of the machine's function. Any loose rust particles are being applied to the wash tub. So the rust does not have an opportunity to dry out. I was also deceived about the iPhone capabilities at the time of purchased. I was told that the was compatible. When it fact there wasn't an app available from Apple. I called LG out on this. They claimed there will be. LG came out with a different app that has less features than what was documented in the manual. In LG eyes, "out of sight, out of mind". What will happen is that the rust build up will detach the plastic bleach reservoir from the shell of the washer which are held on by tabs.

Beware of LG Products and Their Terrible Customer Support I’m writing this to share my awful experience with LG and their customer support. I purchased an LG TV less than a year ago, and the screen started having issues without any external damage or mishandling. After over three weeks of frustrating communication, LG finally agreed to send someone to inspect the TV. However, the process has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite being under warranty, LG initially refused to help, claiming the issue was "external damage" without any evidence. After much persistence, they finally scheduled an inspection. But just half an hour later, the technician from their only authorized repair agent in Montreal, Audio Video RD Inc., called and rudely refused to inspect the TV, again citing "external damage" based on nothing more than a picture. LG’s customer support is completely unprofessional and only interested in squeezing more money out of their customers. They sell defective products and then refuse to honor their warranties, trying to push you into paying for expensive repairs instead. I’ve lost $800 on this TV, and I’m beyond frustrated with how LG handles their business. I strongly advise against purchasing any LG products—save yourself the headache and choose a company that actually stands behind their products.

Don't do it!! Our 2 year old refrigerator started making a loud obnoxious noise from the back. The parts in the back have a 5 year manufacturer warranty, but they said noises aren't covered under the warranty. That's ridiculous, unscrupulous, and morally reprehensible. Their manufacturer book has no verbage that says that noises aren't covered, AND the noise is coming from the back. They also said that if it's the compressor fan that it's not part of the compressor and hence not covered under the 5 year warranty in which the compressor is covered. Verbal gymnastics and lies. This company is not honest and does not care about a good product and making it right with the consumer. I will never buy another LG product again because I have no confidence that they stand behind their products.

DO NOT purchase any home appliances from LG because of their third-party delivery and installation services, RXO. I recently purchased 4 LG washers and dryers. They neither installed the new washer and dryer nor took away the old ones, which we signed up for. In spite of my LG receipt confirming we purchased these services (see below image), RXO didn’t include them on their service ticket. It’s an internal error on their end, put directly back on the customer. We’ve spent hours listening to LG and RXO finger point at one another. As the customer, I don’t care. I want them to fix their error. I’d highly advise going to your local appliance center to purchase LG products (they price match anyway) and working with them. I never have a problem with them getting the job done with a sense of service and accountability. Again, DO NOT purchase through LG directly because their delivery vendor, RXO, is awful.

Bought LG $3,000 refrigerator in 2017. Has had multiple evaporator fans replaced while under a 5 year warranty. Sounds like a freight train in your kitchen when needs that part. QUIT COOLING completely JULY 4. Tech diagnosis charge 137.75 Tech said needed compressor (under warranty)and sealed system parts. Repair service was trying to charge for all the sealed system parts. They are under 7 year warranty. Sent pic of warranty book and receipt so now had to pay $477 for labor. But at least not paying for parts like they tried to charge for also. Shouldn’t repair company know about the warranties or look it up? Then we had to wait for them to approve that from LG. I guess sometimes LG doesn’t honor their warranty?? After multiple tech visits with new compressor, new sealed system parts installed ..still not cooling. It’s now 8/28. Now LG tells tech to try new electronic board which with labor is $400.76 so how do we know if what they are saying will work? We would have bought a new one to start with when this one quit if we had to do it over. DON’T REPAIR JUST BUY A DIFFERENT BRAND!! We have an old Maytag 20 year old one in the garage that is still working and cooling …thank goodness!! We called LG customer service today. She couldn’t find our case and said I’ll just call you back later after waiting on hold. What company does that?? No call back yet. It’s been about 21\2 hours. Oh also, the new LG parts they replace are under warranty for 30 days repair service says. What a joke! NOT HAPPY!!

7 year old washer broke - contacted LG after replacing the easy stuff (rotor assembly, shocks). Paid the $400 for all-covered repair. Took 20 days to get someone to actually come out, even with that person’s personal cell phone number - they were almost entirely unresponsive. They missed their first appointment and spent five minutes on site the second time before deciding that it was a “tub job” and they were basically replacing everything inside the shell. Said they were going to order parts. No ETD given. Next day I get a text from LG saying the repair tech had cancelled the ticket. Spent another 1.5 hours with 4 different agents who each needed me to reexplain what was going on and each tried to contact the tech to see whether they had ordered parts. When they all failed, their suggestion was to start over with a new tech…25 days after I originally was put in touch with this tech and with zero work done. So 25 days later, about 8 hours spent on the phone with LG and still no resolution. Each time I was given a deadline of someone reaching out to me they missed it and I had to contact them. Terrible service. Will never buy another LG product period.

What a terrible experience with LG customer service. Just so unpleasant. Fridge broke, bad compressor but under warranty, they had no idea what to do about it for 3 weeks, they tried to send me a check for 60% of the purchase price so a warranty repair would have cost me $500, then they agreed to replace the unit (their choice) but now they refuse to haul away the broken one and their customer service people are blaming me for following their instructions! Why would I ever buy an LG appliance again??? So unpleasant, no wonder they only have 1.1 stars reviews! Just a nightmare, so unpleasant…

The WORST. They have no clue how to help. All they suggest to do is "unplug and re-plug the device", "push manually the start button and hold for 20 seconds, then release" and "check if the tv plug is on the wall". LG support is a fraud, existing only to PRETEND they want to help, and their ONLY purpose is to document (for free) their products' defects, reported by us the consumers, so that they can improve them and sell more and more in the future. How else would they know what's wrong with their TVs? In other words, they are using their buyers' time to get free, valuable info about their products, (serial number, date and place of purchase, model type and exact problem), giving us false hope that they will somehow help us repair the defects, when in fact we all know, that once they are called for help, their product is already useless. 0 stars if I could..

The fridge we purchased is still under warranty. It started to have a chemical smell and it affected the taste of the food, water and ice. We had to throw out the food and live out of coolers going on 1 month now. They sent out a repair man who said he has seen this before and they tried to repair it multiple times but it never went away. He told LG that the fridge was unrepairable and LG would be getting back with us. We called LG after four days of not hearing from them and they stated they did not get the report. We talked to the service repair man and he said he had sent it and would send it again. They still claimed they didn't receive and made him come out again. He did recheck it and sent the report a 3rd time. We reach out to LG again and got the run around and they said they were sending someone from LG to check it. The man that showed up said he had a problem that caused him to not be able to smell or taste so he couldn't smell or try to taste the water of food. He said the refrigerator was cooling and working like it should. The company would not fix the problem. we have a new fridge that we can't use as it poison's our water, food and ice. Their customer service that answered the phone were helpful but the higher ups would not allow it to be returned, replaced or repaired (which they couldn't do.) DO NOT PURCHASE LG PRODUCTS. They will not stand behind their product and do not care about the health hazard it is causing.

Informed on day of delivery (after I called) that my TV ordered on 14 Aug 2024 would not be delivered until 4 October 2024. At that point I cancelled the order. I am being required to jump thru multiple obstacles to get any refund from LG. If you have to buy LG use a brick and mortar store. I used the partner site. I am retired military served in Korea in 1981 and again in 1997 can I get the years back where I helped insure Korea's freedom from tyranny. Can I forget about the constant hatred demonstrated by Korea's citizen toward americans. Do I feel entitled. Yes I do. Companies like LG are able to exist only because of the sacrifices made by thousands of americans. This is their thanks. Maybe you get refund, maybe no, maybe we take big chunk to punish for cancel order, maybe take one, two months for money back.

Worst customer service I have ever seen in 54 years that I have been dealing with different company. They have no US customer service and you have to talk to someone in Philippines who do not speak English well. Called 6 times and sent 5 emails and even send their president email. Do not ever buy anything from them due to a disaster all around customer service they have.
