my god when most of retail are struggling to survive the general manager at torquay willows store is banning a innocent shopper for rewarding her staff for good customer service skills unlike hers the way the Commercial manager and section manager spoke to Dale is unforgivable and for this section manager Nikki to use Marks and Spencers as a weapon to call the police to the store and say Dale in 2019 sent her flowers in 2020 came in the store shouting at the staff and in 2021 put a review on her and her girlfriends cars i use to work there so 2019 everyone in the store new she told her husband she won the flowers at work in 2020 if Dale had shouted at any of the staff in the food hall it would have been log on our cctv for evidence he was a lovely very smart gentleman and so kind and polite in 2021 the reviews came from Sainsbury as the three managers new Claire was alway's going to get Dale out of the store she told and warned all the staff if we where seen talking to him we would be in trouble it was all very unpleasant so i was glad to leave i just don't no how Nikki and Dawn sleep at night there was no need to lie and send the police to his cottage like they did and HR let them all get away with it there reviews say it all

have to say i agree with Samantha after reading the reviews about the three managers at the willows in Torbay its more than shocking to think you can shop with Marks and Spencers give them your money and custom for over 25 yrs and get no help or support from HR and as for this Nicola the supervisor to send the police to a customers home with nothing but false allegations her lies to her husband shows her credibility how she sits down at home playing happy families after what she did to this innocent shopper says everything about her HR i will never shop in that store again the three of them should have been made to apologise then SACKED the three of them sound like chav's

I bought some of your £6.00 a pair knickers - there was a deal so it turned out 3 pairs and 4th for free. I washed before wearing and after - one pair the looped ‘lace’ around the leg started to come away. I washed another pair for the third time and the lace started to unravel. In comparison I have some knickers I bought in the USA when I lived there, they are minimum 3 years old and some a lot old. They are fine - I was replacing some which had become too small but I am still wearing. The top photo shows the USA underwear after at least 3 years. The second shows M&S after 3rd wash! Also, I bought a hoodie a few months ago and that started to bobble after the first wash!! I can’t believe how the quality of M&S has gone down so much. I used to rely on them and their good quality - no longer. As you don’t do petite sizes either, I shall no longer be shopping there.

Awful staff.. I wentbto blue water M&S . Returned pair of mens shoes in ladies section ground floor then went to a restuarent to place a take away order as while they were getting food ready o could return another 3 pair of shoes to next. After restuarent I went to smuggle to buy a school bag but didn't like any. On coming out of shop saw 2 security guys attentive towards me. Told M and S female staff member said I returned one pair of shoes and perhaps lifted another one.. how disgusting and humiliating.. I went too angry on them .they clarified its not them .the lady who name they can not disclose asked therefore they were chasing me. I said how could she say that. I didn't even go in shoe section whether male or female.. tht thing really put me on fire.. allegation an honourable citizen.. how disgusting .. the security guys apologised but actually tht woman needs apologising me .. this incidence gave me a bad headache and I lost left over trust on this company. Why M and S staff behaves as a racist and false spying against brown skin.. I wish that womans tongue gets paralysed who with our any evidence put under stress an innocent person. I feel M and S recruit low IQ racist staff ..not worth going again

JILL have to say how shocked i was to read Torquay's reviews and the fact that all three managers did not even have to apologise to the innocent customer. just carry on like nothing happened lets hope that people stop going in there food hall like me. HR sort these people out before they destroy that store and show everyone you do exist and care about your customers i think you may have missed the boat with that one haven't stoped laughing about the manager Claire. with enough dynamite in her head to blow the head of a matchstick i have met her and can say its about right

Horrendous!!! Do not use their mail order service as they use Evri (Hermes) do not expect to receive your order. Customer service with both companies is dreadful, neither company are able or want to help you. DON'T BOTHER!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. There was a fault with the online shopping platform. These things happen but then there was jist no help whatsoever. I followed everything asked of me. No school uniform and weeks later still trying to get my money back. Would never shop with M & S again, especially online. Left waiting days for email responses. No one helps on the phone. Thank goodness Next have a good range.

TORQUAY FOOD HALL MANAGERS. read these reviews and tell me how HR can sit back and allow there managers to behave in this manor and speak to a customer like they did it must be so UPSETTING to every customer that reads them and as a result of this i will never shop in TORQUAY FOOD HALL again a customer that shopped there for over 25 years so wasn't a shoplifter or swore at the staff just rewarded them for showing good customer service skill unlike there senior managers and if this Moxhay rang the police and made allegations about me which where all lies i would have taken her straight to court for slander and false allegations it sounds like he said she said you would be told by our HR department jump before your pushed for representing our company in that manor but as the lovely Andy says M+S just don't care the whole thing is SHOCKING and to think Andy took £100 cash of this shopper its just unbelievable how do they get away with this.

reading the reviews on torquay food hall i to have to say how the general manager C.Thomas could take someone outside and say my roll here is to protect the good name of the store and my staff as she flicks her fingers in the air does she not see that she has just Destroyed Marks and Spencers good name that they spent years building up i am sure HR would agree what she should have said to the customer was the most important thing is to make sure you have The best customer shopping experience possible in my store if she had any skills as a manager at all and then of Course to protect the staff and good name of the store C Thomas should have been told to apologise to this customer but instead was allowed to ban them from the food hall her excuse was it was against Marks and Spencers policies for customers to reward there staff for good customer services yet the staff took these gifts from the customer have to say Thomas Harris Moxhay have to be the most unpleasant managers that work for M+S but have to say 99 percent of marks Spencers managers and staff are the best its just in Torquay its seriously bad clearly managers have become complacent i would have to say Claire Thomas has enough dynamite in her head to blow the head off a match stick

As a 58-year-old retired Headteacher, studying for a PhD, I recently began looking for a part-time job to run alongside my studies. Finding an advertisement for a Customer Assistant post offering 12 hours per week at the Whitstable Marks and Spencer’s Foodhall, I spent a considerable amount of time completing an online application; including the pre interview screening activities and the uploading of both my CV and a covering letter. I received an email on the 10th of August 2022 at 17.44 that confirmed the time and date: 12/08/2022 at 15.30 with Donna Parrett. On arrival, I was kept waiting on the shop floor. Eventually Donna arrived and I was then taken to a windowless box room. Donna left me alone, while she went to get some paperwork. She seemed ill prepared; born out by the fact that she seemed to know nothing about me and to have not read any of the details from my CV or the covering letter. In fact, she addressed me as Elouise - this is not my name. My name is Cliff and she assumed that Cliff was a man, despite the fact that my CV, application form and covering letter clearly states the form of address as ‘Mrs’ and my CV includes an identifying photograph. During the 30 minutes I spent with Donna she seemed rather keener to provide me with details about her own private life, rather than find out about my skillset. I learnt: • Donna moved to Broadstairs with her husband to have a ‘different way of life’ from that in London . • Donna had worked at Price Waterhouse for many years – mentioned on numerous occasions. • Donna’s husband worked within the police force, investigating internal corruption and it was a highly stressful job. • Donna’s husband now had to commute into London, but felt it was worth it when he turned into their street at the end of the day. • Donna and her husband lived in a very nice, big house that looked out over the coastline. It was clear from the onset that Donna assumed that I was not suitable for the position. It seemed to be related to the fact that she thought I was too educated, too “posh.” A word she used several times, including within the statement “posh people were just people” too! She voiced her view that I would “be bored” and find things “boring." This was not an opinion shared or voiced by myself. It is now Monday 1st September 2022, 20 days since I had the 'interview' and I have still had no notification from Donna Parrett, or indeed anyone else. I have emailed this complaint multiple time to a variety of key HR people at M&S - still nothing! Frankly, I am appalled at the lack of professionalism demonstrated by Donna Parrett; her assumptions about me were entirely negative and judgemental and the fact that she couldn’t even be bothered to contact me [presumably to tell me I was unsuccessful] really does say it all. I would very much appreciate some response, from someone senior to this member of staff, as I believe I deserve at the very least some form of apology and explanation as to why recruitment protocols [I assume this is not how recruitment ordinarily happens at Marks and Spencer’s?] have not been followed.
