“Ease of purchase easy and straight forward/ Delivery on time/ Quality of Coffee Table not so good was brought on special offer from Matalan Direct so glad never brought at full price, Finish of wood disapointing had marks on it less than 24hours and it only had coasters on it also corner was slightly damaged but highly visible. wondering why i did not return long story short this was 3rd coffee table brought in less than 2 weeks, i had seen this one before but could never find it in stock anywhere then after second one brought it pops up on Matalan site so with great excitement i brought it which caused lots of family to chastise me and now they are also laughing at me as its not as good as i thought would be, Sorry Matalan but feeling very let down over this.”

got delivery to a neighbour next day
unfortunately item was damaged when unpacked and i would not build it with big chip out corner
called matalan who asked me to unpack again and take photo of damage, done this, arranged pick up after several emails but still not received refund so not willing to give good review as too long a wait to get money back for damaged item
supposed to be no quibble returns but taking too long in my opinion”
“Parts of the table wrong contacted technical they said the will have to pick up the table as they have no parts to send due to the table being on sale. Still waiting to be contacted to pick the table up gutted”

When I phoned matalan they said it would be picked up in the next 24 hours by parcelforce and they would get in touch with me to arrange delivery 5 mins later they arrived at the door it was by chance that I was in. Parcelforce didn't get in touch with me at all. The table wasn't quite high enough to go over my knees so I added some castors and now it's perfect.”
“Very pleased with the coffee table - good quality and great price.
The only thing that let's them down is Parcelforce - the order details stated I would be contacted with a delivery date and approx time. I heard nothing from Parcelforce and when I got home from shopping there was a card through the door saying the item was at the Post Ofiice - not even an option to have it redelivered. Heavy item thankfully the very helpful man at th PO helped m to my car - I couldn't have lifted it alone. Not good enough when they charge £15 for delivery.”
“This rather negative review is due to the difficulty of returning this product to Matalan Direct. I felt there was a lack of clarity in the procedure and poor communication with me e.g initially no e mails etc and it took 4 phone calls and a weeks delay before the product was eventually picked up.”
“Delivery was not arranged by phone or text. Delivery was incomplete and one parcel was delivered the next day . Packaging was damaged and therefore the item inside was damaged. The packaging was very inadequate for said item. And the no quibble returns policy seems to be non-existent as when I spoke to customer service I was asked to send photos via a smartphone which I was unable to do. Still waiting for the call back telling me what to do!”
