“Morrisons on Holyhead Road in Coventry, I have noticed that over the last few months the availability of fresh meat and fish products has reduced, plus sell by dates are quite short”
“During the run-up to Christmas I observed a clutter of displays, shelf-stocking trollies and piles of goods in the aisles at the Aberystwyth store. I mentioned to an employee in livery that the aisles were cluttered and obstructed. The apparent 'shelf-stacker' denied that was any form of obstruction. I was at least obvious that the path was crowded and difficult to navigate.
The "shelf-stacker" then marched down the aisle toward a Tannoy connected telephone and called for a senior manager to attend urgently.
I continued my shopping until a man who appeared to be a senior person accosted me in the company of the "shelf-stacker".
The "shelf-stacker" then accused me of swearing at and abusing him. ….. I NEVER used foul language or abusive language toward the employee. I simply grumbled about the clutter.
The manager then sent the complainant away (before I could talk to him) and seized my shopping basket and threatened to call the police if I ever returned to the store.
Some days later I called Morrisons HQ and gave a report to their complaints phone line complaining about the unfair treatment. I requested a written reply. There came none.
After about a month I returned to shop located at place that I have patronised for probably longer than that manager has been alive.
I have not been challenged for shopping there ever since. I will continue to shop there as long as it pleases me. Any request or demand by any "manager" to remove me will require the acquiescence of the Police!

“I phoned customer service asking for a product in particular and they told me the store where that product was in stock. I visited that store to buy it but the product was not in stock. I also asked one of the employees in store and he said he did not remember to see that product in that store in a long time.
You lost a customer today.”
“So we bought two morrisons own steak pies and they only had pastry not even a small chunk of meat same with chicken ect maybe just me and the people and family around me but all there own products all lack the main ingredients (meat)”
“Is there a hidden agenda with Morrison’s ? How can a chain of supermarkets deteriorate so rapidly or worse be ALLOWED to deteriorate so rapidly, nobody seems to care.
The Jarrow store is abysmal, empty shelves, goods on display sometimes 2 days past the sell by dates , appalling quality fruit and veg and a pricing policy that is difficult to understand!!
Frequently items are incorrectly charged at checkout compared to the price displayed on the shelves.
It’s as if the stores are deliberately being run down.
There is an obvious shortage of staff and competent management which is only adding to the demise of this once excellent chain.
Won’t be shopping there again until I’m made aware that things have improved.
Has anyone in a senior management position looked at Morrison’s reviews recently and compared them with reviews from several years ago ?
The reviews are appalling across the length and breadth of the country, what’s going on???”
“Brought rhubarb pie day jan25,put in oven to warm up,when I cut into it no rhubarb ,only pastry.so had to throw that away with custard i had made.was not going to get car out and drive to Morrison's and take it back”
“Morrisons Seaburn. Yet again, unable to buy loose fruit & veg owing to complete absence of paper bags in store. No good asking staff. Last time I tried female staff member said "I'm not on fruit & veg" & walked off without another word! Typical of the disrespectful & discourteous culture which has been allowed to develop at this branch under manageress Rachel Douthwaite.”
“You are right. Seems nobody from this company ever checks the material. It is worse even because someone has superimposed very badly other peoples heads. Disgusting and vile.”
“The whole shop is a Bloody Shambles no trolleys at the shop entrance had to go back out in the car park to find one. Friut and veg poor brocolli stems brown leaf products limp and base again brown. Only managed two thirds of our weekly shop. Some shelves empty such as spreads edam cheese etc struggled to get down some aisles blocked nwith staff talking to friends and aisles blocked by staff hurriedly trying to fill shelves think its now time to shop elsewhere. B Lynch.”
“I regularly use 2 Morrison’s stores in Ripon and Jarrow and the decline in both stores has been huge.
I would expect without improvement that the Morrison’s brand will be non existent if knew management don’t take over.
No stock poor sell by dates poor quality utterly miserable staff make this a woeful shopping experience !!
How at 7 30 in the morning are customers negotiating an obstacle course of pallets trolleys and employees frantically trying to stock shelves!!!
Then when you get to the tills there are virtually no staff!!
Why do the staff constantly moan about work to one another in full earshot of customers the place is a joke either buck up your ideas or you will be closed/taken over !!”
“Morrisons Reading is the worst place to shop the staff are extremely miserable and very rude, the party shop is closed more than it's open as is the flower wrapping service if the staff is not available then the service should not be open, yesterday I went to get balloons for my daughters birthday to be told by a very rude member of staff that she was not serving anyone else her shift was finished she also informed the lady in front of me that she would not inflate the latex balloons the customer wanted because she has arthritis in her hand, I went and found a manager who got someone else to inflate my balloons, unfortunately a lot of the staff here are rude maybe customer service training should be done and mystery shoppers sent in”
“Why open your shops on Boxing Day if you can't staff them? (Morrisons Seaburn, Manageress Rachel Douthwaite) No checkouts open. I was rudely ordered to use the self checkouts for a trolley full of shopping & when I objected was made to feel that I was in the wrong. I would have left the trolley & walked out but I needed the shopping. Worse still, a disabled guy in an electric wheelchair behind me, who was equally reluctant to use the self checkout, was given the same ultimatum. Shame on you Morrisons Seaburn. The manageress should be prosecuted for discrimination.
Customer service is getting steadily worse at this branch. Is this simply Douthwaite to blame or, does the rot go higher?”
“morrisons extra large melton mowbray pork pie cardboard pastry low quality dry mince....no juice....tired....meltonmowbrayyourhavin a laugh. It went in the bin within2mins of buying.Store warrington”
“Popped in day before xmas eve, no trolleys out front, someone had been sick outside near entrance and people who hadnt noticed was pushing trollies thru it soni went inside and told the checkout manager , the reply i got was oh we have no cleaners , i said you could get a bucket of water and swish it away she just walked off !! I used the customer toilets....disgusting !! Toilet roll all over floor , poo stains in loos and on seats , absolutely disgusting”
