“The plant based bags are a really good way to try different plant based recipes. The meals are nutritionally balanced, easy and generally delicious. The downsides are that there is a lot of packaging and sometimes the flavors are a bit of an eclectic mismatch.”

“We have enjoyed the fun of cooking our dinners with the Bargain Box. It has taken the pressure of both the staff and the residents. Although, we sometimes forget to buy the pantry stables and to use all of the ingredients! It gets a bit trickier for us when we have to double our meals because of how many we are! But overall, we are loving it!”

“We love the variety and choice of cuisines every week but we do end up with many bags of peas and spinach - perhaps more variety in terms of greens would be good eg: French beans, asian greens, cos lettuce The only huge fail we had was a very quick curry and a dish which was supposed to have diced beef but was more like dog roll thrown in with a can of crushed tomatoes. Mostly we have been happy, we absolutely loved the tostadas and the butter chicken and the ready meals are a huge bonus for a full time working mum. Sometimes there are too many good choices in one week - is there any way of carrying over something you really like the look of into another week? Thanks, Justine”

“My Food Bag is awesome! Makes it super easy to prepare my meals, which is great as a Uni student. Though the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I've had a delivery issue (which was solved), and have had a couple ingredients missing sometimes - I'd give it a 4.5/5 stars if I could! Overall the meals are always super delicious, and recipe instructions are really clear!”

“I have enjoyed eating vegetables again. It's been a lifestyle change for me and the 1st time I have stuck it out and have enjoyed most of the meals. Haven't gone hungry so don't feel I on a diet just making better healthy choices. I have been doing this for 12 weeks now and have lost 10 kilos so starting to feel the loss. Looking forward to summer 😊”

“My Food Bag has good customer service. We have always found staff deal quickly to resolve any issues we have had with not receiving certain items, food spilt through the box, or any quality issues. The communication methods - mostly through email - are informative and interesting. We especially enjoy getting small "freebies" in our box - we have occasionally had extra recipes, juice, or food items that have been thrown in. That always heightens our experience. I would say that value for money is slightly borderline for us: we pay just a bit more than we would like for the service. But, the convenience of not having to go to the supermarket (especially in lockdown!) and the customer service usually make up for it. We enjoy the meals and like not having to think about what we're going to eat.”

“Loving the meals and the variety of options. It has also bought my partner and I together in the kitchen which is a good thing. My only issue is the packaging. We're really struggling with so much single use plastic and the chiller packs”

“Love getting Myfoodbag for so many reasons - lots of options, easy to make with simple/clear instructions, fresh and top quality products (often with bigger quantities of non perishables). I thank MyFoodBag for improving my mental health - for taking away the effort in what to cook and for feeding me a variety of nutrients my regular meals probably lacked. Can’t recommend enough! Oh, and you have recipes that you can make anytime! My only “gripe” is that there is no dairy free option so often have to substitute for my own dairy free alternatives.”

“Great food, healthy and easy to make! Stuck in hotel for a few months and then even longer due to lock down, great having my food bag meals dropped off. Didn’t have to worry about meals and could add extra once we heard lockdown was coming. As a essential worker, traveling to work each day and really long hours it was great to have a nice healthy soup for lunch and quick healthy and yummy dinners when I got back to base.”

“We decided to try MFB as we were looking for more variety in our meals, and were eager to try different flavours. I was sick of cooking the same thing every week. From that perspective MFB does not disappoint. Most dishes have a great flavour profile and the spices always pack a punch. The tofu dishes are our favourite. I love the convenience of MFB and not having to think about what the meals for the week will be. I've noticed a huge shift in terms of carbohydrates, as we never used to eat them, but now we have them most nights. I also feel that MFB uses a little too much salt, so I have made a conscious effort to avoid where possible. It is not required where lots of spices are used in a dish. I love the bonus treats we sometimes get and the rewards I've received- it adds value to what is a relatively expensive way to eat. It would be great if the recipes came in a paper bag (like they do for gourmet weeks) instead of randomly thrown around the box. I often roast cauliflower and add a salad, as I do feel more greens are required for some meals. I also wish that thighs were used more than breasts for the chicken dishes. Based on the boxes we have tried, gourmet packs are definitely for a more confident cook. But overall, we are loving it- even the arguments on a Sunday night about what to choose for the following week:)”

“We are enjoying the variety of meals from MFB during the lockdown. The weekly deliveries to our door are an extra bonus since our shift to Cambridge. That was always a problem when we lived in the country, no rural deliveries, despite your competitors doing door to door drop offs. Good to try out different ethnic cuisines & the meal portions suit our requirements. Being able to choose our own meals each week is a great option. Thanks for the good service, keep up the good work. 🌺”
